Does P2P Digital Cash Need P2P Infrastructure?

Cryptocurrency users bought into a world based on a single original concept: a peer-to-peer (P2P) electronic cash system. The key selling point of the technology is its ability to enable P2P transactions, where I can send a transaction directly to you without having to go through a service first, or ask permission. Somewhere along the way, however, an idea became popularized that a P2P system should run on a P2P infrastructure, namely that every user should be able to run their own full node and verify their own transactions. While this idea draws on the humble beginnings in the early days of Bitcoin when the wallet was a full node and a miner, it oddly enough became popularized after this three-in-one setup was long gone as the standard. Now many of Bitcoin’s current community support this idea, while other coins such as Dash go for a robust, professionalized, and decentralized infrastructure that differs by not requiring users to actually run the network themselves. Is there really a benefit in a P2P infrastructure?

The smartest thing that stock holders could do right now, is sell their stocks and place the proceeds into the top cryptos as well as some "penny stock" privacy coins and alts.  Sell high and buy low !!!

hi, I am really glad the coin got such a great new dev!

I just saw there is a new windows miner xcoin-miner - but it has like 25/50 detection rate in virustotal - thats preety dark Wink I still have the old miner drk1.2b and it only has 7/50 so what happened? I am using the old miner for now, but should the new one be much faster? Seems to be complete different than previous. I also do not find the page where the new miner got released and discussed, so please someone tell me there is no trojan or whatever.

Be very carefull with downloading and using new, unverified mining software .. they often contain virusses (which you seem aware of, but i'm mentioning it anyway for other people reading this)

Dash Passes 3,600 Merchants 18 Months Ahead of Lightning Network 1,000 Merchants Bet

Dash is now accepted at over 3,600 merchants worldwide, far exceeding a popular projection of Bitcoin Lightning network adoption at the end of next year.

According to popular merchant listing site DiscoverDash, at time of writing 3,619 merchants around the world now accept Dash as a payment method. This represents 619 merchants added in the last month alone over the 3,000 merchant milestone early last month. The majority of the new businesses added have been in hyperinflation-plagued Venezuela, with 563 now accepting Dash since the same time last month. This brings the total number of Venezuelan Dash merchants to about 54% of the global total.
