A question on the upcoming code audit--what level of audit is this?

Just making sure it's all original (or open sourced) code and not illegitimately copied?
Verifying that it is what it says it is--no trojans, backdoors, etc?
A full mathematical proof of the coin functions such as anonymity?

The "audit" of the code will be the last step before open sourcing it.  It will be for trusted members of the crypto community and anyone else that can do the job, to go over and see if they can find flaws.  Hopefully, they will try to break things (and won't succeed) like a white hat.  If it passes the mustard, then the code will be released.

It is a decentralized exchange and market place (NightTrader) built using smart contracts (BlackHalo). It's primarily for BlackCoin, and to me it just seems that the potential is huge. The question is, would it be something useful for Darkcoin? The dev is open to implementing it to other coins as well - not sure what that means exactly though.

Not really, in the crypto world its quiet old. Coins come and go, get pumped one or two times and then die, RC4 wont save this coin, too much competition and not unique enough. I'd like it to go back up, Ill buy some if I see any signs of that happening but a slide to 0.007-.008 is inevitable.

This coin is older than any Pump&Dump coin still alive, so you can only compare it to other coins: Bitcoin/Litecoin/Darkcoin are more like main-coins.
In this way, Darkcoin is still young, and more important, still improved (that's what caused the Domm of Ltc).

Find another alt that has pumped, crashed ~60%. Then sustainably risen again (Not spiked). Not to mention one thats main feature is better implemented by other tech. Have fun.

You may be right, and I'd be the first one to acknowledge that, but if so then we're looking at the likely demise of the entire altcoin market with the exception of so called "2nd gens" like NxT and Etherium.

Anonymity was the last / only great opportunity for plugging any substantial gap in Bitcoin's feature set and DRK was/is the only real challenge in that market.

Sure there are others now, but the basis for their existence was opportunism on seeing an already rolling bandwagon. There's nowhere near as much mileage in that as there is from acting first. If DRK doesn't succeed in breaking through Litecoin's BTC trading ratio record (factored for coin supply) then none of the others will and neither are any future altcoins having a purely currency role likely to.

People tend to open their mouths and post whatever flippant comment comes of the top of their head according to the prevailing trading sentiment of the day, but if you stop and think about what you're saying then some profound implications flow from it.
