Consider Vertcoin (VTC). Fairly launched, adjusting N-factor scrypt coin. It will be very popular with miners as LTC ASICs roll out and has been growing in spite of the recent down trend. It's currently only on CoinedUp which is too unreliable for many, though it has good volume there with a strong dev and mining community.

I really think you should pick up NYAN.  IT has a lot of things going for it right now:

• Officially Licensed
• Dedicated Devs.
• Small but Growing Community
• Gradually increasing hashrate and difficulty.

I know there are a lot of ALT coins out there, but this one is legit.  Either NYAN/BTC or NYAN/LTC would work.
