Can somebody help me with my question in one my previous posts? High cpu usage when running the animecoin wallet. My server is getting slow because of the wallet. Would like to know a way to fix this. Thank you.

I would recommend having another server hold the wallet and receiving RPC calls from the first server. That obviously requires having access to a second server though, so it may not be the answer that you're looking for. Other than that and possibly tweaking the code for the wallet, I can't think of anything else that might help you in your situation at the moment. I personally don't think that a Qt wallet could tax a regular server too much, but I don't have access to a server to verify my assumption.

We are running multiple wallets on there and none is using as much CPU as the animewallet. Animecoin wallet is running fine on my own computer though. Very strange.

I would check to see if some ports are being used multiple times and causing a bottleneck to the wallet synchronization.

All coins are theoretically susceptible to that. I'm not sure that I understand what you're asking for.

I'm with the same problem as reverb, the ANI wallet suddenly started taking a lot of cpu a while ago (and i'm not using the wallet to mine). The network is also not synchronizing anymore.

Someone in IRC said the smallest denomination of ANI should be a loli, like BTC's satoshi.
Thoughts?

All coins are theoretically susceptible to that. I'm not sure that I understand what you're asking for. AnimeCoin shouldn't be the easiest to 51%, it isn't an absolutely standard algorithm, so if someone makes a ASIC for quark, it would at least need some tweaking before being able to 51% anime. I am still mining, protecting the network!

I added support for animecoin in sph-sgminer. Source code is here: https://github.com/prettyhatemachine/sph-sgminer. Speed is about 1.8 MH/s for R9 290. Building: ./autogen.sh ./configure make
Example usage (solo mining with sgminer connected to wallet running on rpc port 6666, username foo, password bar): GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 DISPLAY=:0 ./sgminer -k animecoin -o 127.0.0.1:6666 -u foo -p bar -I 15 -g 4 -w 128 --queue 0 --scan-time 0
As usual, no Windows binaries are provided. Expect problems when mining on pools. ANI donations: AVCDtY6Mn5rnnCecLf7pgiXH76YxquJcPB
