Looks like everytime it breaks the $100 barrier there is a huge spike up. Is $100 the lower however? Seems like a good psychological number.

Regarding the bottom? Who knows.

Assume you bought ETH during the ICO for 40 cents. Would you care if ETH broke $100 if you already took some profits earlier at $1000? I am sure most of the early adopters are not selling now, but they aren't buying back the ETH either. Most of the selling now is probably from the GPU miners with 1080Ti GPUs which need to be paid off and from the ICOs who still haven't sold their coins.

Agreed with you $100 is looking psychological barrier big players are playing with the emotions of weak hands. It need good support to make comeback and start recovering but it is very hard to see when it will start recovering.

Bitcoin is the king and it will be all of others coin will keep continue as alternative coins. ETH has no comparison with Bitcoin is any way there and this is really complicated thing when people start reacting like this.

Support at $100 is already broken and there is no prospect of a full and powerful correction. I believe that a powerful upward move will start at $50.

No one can time the bottom, it's almost never where the predictions place it.

If you believe in the tech and a recovery then the smart strategy is to buy at regular intervals in small chunks. If you normally spend $1000 every 6 months split that into 12 bi-weekly buys of $83 for example. You may not have the lottery-like huge gains as if you had timed the market bottom perfectly but no one does that anyway without illegal insider information and you don't want to catch a falling knife by betting it all on a single price point.

Be disciplined, none of this is hard to understand especially for most of the tech savvy people interested in crypto. If you are emotional about your investments you are investing too much money. There are no shortcuts in life, learn to love that instead of fighting against it.

Everyone was inviting institutional investors and now finally their involvement has begun. Where people did miscalculation was thinking that institutional investors will buy at high rates to make them rich. crypto is going down and this is big time regular down trend. but still there is hope that eth will rise again
now in the current postion of the market its hard to determine exact bottom of eth and i am sure 20$ is not the bottom

Its a ponzi folks, get over it. there is presumably $10 billion of this garbage around and it's useless for anything other than playing silly games or getting ripped by exchanges, traders, investors.  People love their money and I'm talking real cash so its hard to assume anybody would let it waste in eth.

They are taking the price to a really low value so that they can buy as many coins as they can before the next bull run takes place.
