See the opinion of Vitalik Buterin (somehow biased maybe but still valuable) on the subject during a workshop in Taiwan. All the chains trying to offer smart contracts are copycats of Ethereum right now and don't have close to what is the developper and industrial ecosystem working around Ethereum. So no, by now there is no token which can replace ETH.

The future prospect of the Vitalik Buterin's ether Fang is still bright, although it is now facing the challenges of later show EOS, AE and so on. 1$did not get on the car, this year 500$, regret, life is so melancholy, though I still wish the ETH to go all the way.

And definitely not EOS (first joke in the video above  ). Even forgetting that they have no valuable product yet, remember that EOS is an ERC20 token powered by Ethereum blockchain.

It seems you didn't understand the meaning of this phrase in future EOS will become big challenge for ETH ecosystem although both are ERC20 tokens at the moment but they are working hard to build a parallel system.

Yeah i think from the recent crypto buzz we have seen, ethereum always mostly not quick to pick up the pace as do other Alts, maybe because of its vastly used in ico's, i don't know, i do expect more from eth but Dash is really up in price now, looking solid at this stage, inspite of btc  forking shenanigans Dash stood its ground,

Ethereum naturally won't increase as much as other coins, simply because ICOs dump their Ethereum after collecting it to fund their projects. That's a significant downward pressure on the price of Ethereum that Bitcoin does not have.

With the upcoming holidays and the december shopping craze, I think BTC price will not drop at all. Most probably in january or so.
Then in spring it will be listed on NASDAQ which means it will reach unebelievable ATH; hopefully ETH will follow the trends.

It's true that anyone at anytime can fork Ethereum (and most other blockchains). That's one of the properties of a public, permission-less blockchain. It actually happens quite often, but those "forks" tend to be only a few blocks in length.

So, what do you think guys about Ethereum Classic, will it be a better investment decision, comparing to ETH, for the short term (1-3 months)?
Mike Novograntz predicted ETH will rise to 1000$ by the end of the year, it is the only factor which makes me believe in ETH after 4 months of stagnation.

I think there will come a day/ week at some point in the future (2020?)
When all of crypto is going to hit a dramatic shift.
Blockchain will be more advanced and all the coins that people are trading will have to answer the question of "ya but are they actually being used?" Most will fail that test and there will only be a few survivors that will see a huge rise.
I think it will be sudden, dramatic, fast, bloody, and incredibly fun to see.

I wouldn't put any stock in ETC. Compared to  Ethereum, it's not being put to much use at all. If ETH hits $1k, it will be due to a one/a few Dapps/platforms gaining huge popularity.

Its not "if" ETH hits 1K, it's when ETH hits $1k, and then on to $3k and so on.  Ethereum has an amazing roadmap.  Nothing can erase the fact that this is the future of money.

ETH and ETC will survive for long time. I think they are quite resistant platforms. There are some more platforms which will survive and find their place such new one ELLA (Ellaism), with good start.
