Slam point is awarded to the persons with the most correct scores in a single round of 10 games. It used to be 5 and up , but apparently it is being given even if you get less than that. For more you can see the explanation here.

No you get slam points for having 5 or more correct outcomes. Like I only got 2 exact scores correct but also 3 correct scores = 5 correct outcomes, so 1 slam point. 8-9 gets you 2 slam points. 10 gets you the most.

So I guess it is just to reward people who got a lot of correct outcomes (winner or draw) but keep getting the exact goals wrong.

Looks like I'm first place so far but still so early. I hate peaking early. hsports got THREE exact scores!

I had Liverpool to win 3-1 and they won 4-0 so I think I couldn't get the close 1.5 points to the game. Had also a shock result with Burnley to win on Southampton 0-1 but it is a lost game for me. Main game starts just after a bit and I placed a really funny score on it.

Well, I started predicting my usual 3-0 scoreline that served me so well last season, but it looks like a lot of people are now liking this 3-0 scoreline. Credit to LFC and slaman for going even 1 better and getting the full 3 points for 4-0. Well done!



Salah scores, Mane got a brace, Firminho came close. Shaqiri looked lively, Sturridge got his 20 seconds after coming on. Can't say Alisson made any noteworthy saves so credit to Gomez in defence for helping VVD ensure we never needed to test our new keeper.

Couldn't be a better game really, except a small tarnish of a yellow card for Trent, but I like that fire in our players. Klopp hasn't changed much, subbed strikers at 3-0 up and hungry for more in the last 5 minutes, but maybe this opener was much needed.

I narrowly missed out on four other correct scores by one goal, two of those games screwing me over in the last few minutes with a late goal. Imagine getting seven correct scores. Would have got me a cash prize of £500. I suspect missing out on a lot of games just by one goal will be quite common though and that's why it's so difficult to do so. Aiming for 5 correct scores from one round though to get myself a proper yellow cap  .

Congrats for first yellow cap I am really upset how I miss two games because last night I set my all picks and was good to be for in top three but suddenly what happen have no idea but still its very good I am not bad in my first week

This was actually very easy game week to predict. There was almost no surprises and certainly no big surprises. I am thinking it will be much harder in the following weeks. I have a feeling City will again be champions and Liverpool will be the only team able to keep up and hopefully made it interesting.

I'd love so see Liverpool take it this year. Never been a big Liverpool fan, partly because of my burning hatred of Steven Gerrard, but my unyielding love for Klopp has overcome that. If any manager deserves the trophy, it's him.

I thought surely this week 1 must have at least 1 upset. Like Trofo said, this week was rather "easy", just a matter of who predict exact scores. Results all went the favorites' way, no big upsets over the 10 games.

A lot of teams failed to score, which is not what I expected too. Normally many goals and both sides scoring in English games lately.

There's usually always some shockers on the first round as teams are shaky coming back from the break and gelling with new players etc and you've got no recent for to judge either team on, and so making correct predictions is often difficult, but I guess this year it's the anomaly. 0-0 games are where you can gain a lot of points. People seem to rarely choose them (or even draws). I tend to pick them when I think there's two poor teams that will cancel each other out and it worked on the Southampton vs Burnley game but not on a couple of others.

Just checked the leaderboard, I’m in 8th with 13.0 points. Congrats to hilarious, great effort with 18.5 points, setting a great pace in round 1.

I thought I’d be higher than 8th, got 2 or 3 exact scores & missed a couple by 1 goal. Just shows how tough it’ll be this season to win a prize.
