AVATAR playing hide and seek

I just can not find the topic we have discussed before about this avatar issue. Please accept my apology to create a similar topic again. I need your input please.

As you can see from the image - now, number 2 should be my active avatar but it's been few hours I do not see any changes on my avatar space. I have tried logging out then in, tried uploading several times, tried without having an avatar, tried refreshing window, tried cleaning my cache memory - possibly I have tried everything but with no luck yet.

After you upload your avatar, you may need to reload some pages to see it.

I understand this as well. I believe I have waited reasonable time so far.

Any special advice?

PS: Would you at-least let me know which one you are seeing from your side? 1 or 2?

Yes, just few minutes (less than 2 minutes) ago I also seen the changed one. I am still searching for a reasonable explanation.

It's related to the forum cache.

Press Ctrl + F5 to refresh the page cache.

Or just wait. You can't see it, but your avatar changes immediately after you submit it.

You mean server side issue? I am pretty sure it's nothing to do with the client side coz I already tried cleaning my cache memory before I noticed the change earlier.

Have the same problem during my early days, it turns out that I am worried for nothing. As soon as you have changed/updated your avatar other users will instantly see your new updated avatar except for you, I don't know the main issue about it but if you try logging out your account and visiting a thread that you have a post on it as a guest then you will see that you are wearing a new avatar. This are just one of the minor problems that I don't think needs to give a big attention about as it doesn't affect you in anyway.

Whenever I use to change the avatar while applying for the signature campaign. I too faced this issue but I did not find the any problem on it for long time. In sometime after changed the avatar it reflected to the account mate.
Then if you see the system not refresh we can clear the cache and try I hope. By look at the above reply I noticed the page refresh way to find the avatar soon mate.

Avatar gets changed as soon as you change it. The fact that you see ptevious avatar again is because of your browser's cache (not forum's cache). To fix this problem, clear cache oe if you want to keep it, then open incognito mode in browser, login this way and you'll see that avatar is changed.
So don't worry if you changed it and still don't see a result.

I can confirm you that it was not anything to do with browser's cache because I have tried cleaning my cache memory.

Trust me I tried with my tor browser with my profile link as a guest but I saw the old avatar. The whole thing is very confusing to me. There could be one reasonable answer which TryNinja said. This has something to do with the sever side caching.

I'm usually try to erase the old avatar before implement the new one
But if that's still not work, well all I can do is waiting to get updated !

Sorry, didn't see what you quoted.

I have tried it on different browser where I'm logged out and the new avatar is shown while on my main browser I'm still with the old avatar.
So there's no issue.

That's the one to clean the browser cache (I wrote it in my post above). But I'm not sure if that's the issue.

The truth is that this is a common issue and that your new avatar will always show after a couple minutes, so there is nothing to worry about. Just wait for it to update.
