How long does it take to withdraw MINT from Mintpal.com? My withdrawal still shows pending?

I just met the same problem, and I found out the reason is, when you click the email confirmation link, you must already logged on MintPal, and you don't need to enter your account name and password another time, you should see a page showing "your Mintcoin withdraw has been confirmed" directly after clicking that confirmation link, then you'll receive the withdraw in one minute. Otherwise it will always be pending.

Can someone please help? I have tried doing exactly what was explained a couple times above regarding getting my MintCoin Wallet to synch. I am wanting to buy lots more MINT but I am scared I will never receive them if I can't figure out how to get my wallet to synch. I really like this coins but if the wallet cannot be setup by the average person (not computer whiz), then I fear the coin may be doomed. Can someone explain what I need to do besides what is explained above regarding creating the mintcoin.conf file? I have followed instructions to a 't' and still no synch :'-(

Do I need to do something on my settings --> options --> Main /Network / Window/ Display menus? Do I need to click on the 'Connect through SOCKS proxy' box and enter 'proxy IP' 'Port' & 'SOCKS Version' Numbers?

Anyone have any idea what else I can do? I fear downloading a new wallet because I already have 500,000 MINTcoin suppose to be arriving to my wallet deposit address. Very frustrating, all other wallets I have downloaded synched and worked automatically, never had to do amateur programming to get my wallet to function normally.

Dont want to lose faith in this coin so early but any help will be very appreciated. Again I have created the mintcoin.txt file and added the 'codes' specified above, saved it, then renamed it to mintcoin.conf. exited and restarted wallet several times. Repeated steps above again and still nada.

Do I need to customize any of the instructions that we were told to 'copy and paste' or can I leave them as is?

Thanks to anyone out there who can help me.

I was having the exact same frustrating experience and trying all of the %appdata% stuff, which as far as I can tell didn't do much (at least not so it was looking different than before I did it).

Finally, I just deleted all of the Mint stuff on my computer and then re-downloaded the wallet to start all over again.

Oh, by the way, if you are anything like me, you haven't had to deal with a zip file in a long time. (most wallets just automatically install, as you said).  Anyway, my point is do not "open" the zip file -- "extract" it first. Once you do this, you will see  "mintcoin -qt.exe". double click on that and a wallet will open. If you don't "extract" you will not see "mintcoin -qt.exe." I'm sorry if this is obvious to you, but I wanted to make sure I didn't skip over anything.

Also, like these other guys are saying, it takes a while. There are no connections even. I've only downloaded a few wallets, but usually a connection is close to immediate. Just wait -- it looks like it's dead, but it's just a very sleepy wallet. Eventually a few connections hit and it becomes in sync. I didn't keep track, but it probably took an hour and a half to two hours to fully sync.

I hope that was a help. I too almost gave up on Mint. I really like the coin, but if you can't get a wallet, then the fun is a bit diminished! Good luck!

How legit are those buyorders @ mintpal ?
Shocked What kind of question is this?  Grin

They're all legit, we have about 2000 open orders over all our markets. We have over 200 BTC volume for MINT since we added a market for it.

The funny thing with both the buy and sell orders on Mintpal is this... I'm slightly embarrassed to say that it took me a while to figure it out.

Notice how there is always a huge buy and sell wall ? Like more then 10 BTC each, unless there was just some heavy buying or selling.

Nope. While technically it's a wall, in reality there's just a lack of... for a better word... resolution in the orderbook.

Because a bitcoin can't be devided further, you can't bid 0.000000065 instead of 0.00000006.

Silly heh. I guess that's a major drawback of a crypto with that many coins. It become very hard to trade, the more there are, as long as the value stays a tiny fraction of BTC.

I don't think my wallet sent the coins. I'm going to try restarting it. Never had that issue before.

It's a bit annoying on the small transaction level to transfer BTC into Mintpal, is there any chance of having some common coin added to ease moving coin in to buy smaller amounts of mint at a time, I just sent like 45 cents of BTC over and it's at least 2 hours to confirm in the blockchain.

I'm not sure I follow. We require 3 confirms for BTC, which should take 30 minutes on average, though it can of course vary when the blocks take much longer/shorter than 10 minutes.

You can also deposit any of the other coins we have and trade to BTC.

None of the other exchanges I am set up on have any of those, plus the 7 cent fee for a 50 cent BTC transfer eats a lot too. Having one nice common coin for smaller transfers would be nice. One of the common low value fast transfer coins may be useful.

BTW, I noticed the same problem, hope Mintpal would consider and improve our trading experience there!
