I don't think you can pay attention to the pool estimations, they go all over the place. I suspect it has to do with the block rewards having such a massive range.

It's a cycle. When a new coin become popular and start threatening other coins, their community become scared and spread FUD.

Except for that Doge was not created by a known hysterical screaming scammer but instead had a fun-loving and creative community, that made memes of the memes again and again and beat the community of litecoin and bitcoin on reddit within weeks.

It was said he bribed to markets to take pandacoin in, how much? 50? 100? Furthermore, there are still more than 50% (1.65b) of the premine owned by him and that's used for what? The purpose for both, the IPO-profit and 1.6b PANDA left + what his IRC-team owns is market control, simple as that. The math is simple: Have 50% of both for proper buy and sell manipulation and set your walls where ever you need them to keep the price at your whim.
