meaningless or not, my account (from 2014) is no longer "legacy" and it is now a "new" account. and i never received any warning telling me i need to do anything in the past 3 years that i have been using bittrex!

... and now my money is stuck in their pocket and i can not get it out!

If your account gets enabled please post here with the support ticket number and circumstance so those of us waiting will have some sort of idea of how long it will take, that is if they even enable our accounts in the first place...i'm unfortunately in the 30k range of support tickets so I will be one of the last people I assume if they going in order which would make sense.

Bittrex does not have the privacy feature of allowing users to generate new deposit addresses. But can they allow multiple accounts linked to a single identity?

If you fill out the EV they will enable your account, It's essentially black mail but at least you get your funds back. Then just delete Trex's existence from your mind

EV means Enhanced Verification

This looks to be very worrying. Many people suggest to withdraw your bittrex funds as soon as possible. I agree with them, because we saw many complaints about bittrex here on bitcointalk, on reddit, facebook, etc. Likely this won't end good...

They are keeping our coins and token hostage they should have made an option for us to withdraw if we don`t want to send personal data, locking account without prior notice is frustrating.

That's the problem. If you see the case carefully, the disabled account means he can't gain access to his balance and withdrawing them. I was lucky that my downgraded legacy somehow still can withdrawn all of my balance.

i believe it wont end good.
because this tread moderator as a bittrex representative has been gone more than 1 week.
since 14th oct. this is not good, dont risk your money if you still able to withdraw

I don't know why, but I still feel comfortable with them. Their support solved my issue within few minutes, and website as well as my account seem to be working all just great.

They're having trouble in managing all the issues, but I don't think so that their intentions are to scam us.
