Hey guys and gals, I have decided to help out with building the community around Blackcoin by writing an article for my community! In this article, I express why Blackcoin is going to be a major winner and has our backing and support.

Do you have anything lined up for the coin, we really need something lucrative to garner interest from people because I worry a little once the miners can't be useful anymore that coin won't really have anywhere to go. But if there's something good for the coin to give it real validity I could see it being Bitcoin 2.0 because of such fair launch, no premine and the POS system in place

Hi, what error do you get? Running just fine here on several Macs, both 10.8 and 10.9.

There is a known bug for BlackCoin wallets of all operating systems at the moment: if the wallet does not start for the very first time, please ignore the error and try again. This issue is going to be fixed ASAP.

As has been said a thousand times in this thread it is 1% nominal interest.  That 1% can be compounded as much as every 8 hours.   If you don't understand what compound interest means then go look it up.  If you don't think that will be enough POS then don't bother, leave it to the people who actually understand.  

I don't really understand it because of the randomness nature of it. Could you tell me if I have lets say 0.1% of the total coins i.e. 100k BC, and the PoS begins, how many am I expected to have after 10 days? 100 days? year?

After PoW mining is done, those that have lot of coins get much more PoS interest than those that have less coins. Early adopters get more coins, more interest. Why bother mining it in the first place when you know the bigger players are going to have more coins than you ?

Same concept in mintcoin, hows that working out?

It's same thing with MINT and any other PoS coin. I realize that now. At least you can mine MINT for the first 5 weeks, but that's not going to save it. It's little bit fairer than Blackcoin, but that's not going to save it on the long run.
