Important Announcement From CryptoQuest.net
If you mined blackcoin on our pool, bc.cryptoquest.net, you need to withdraw all of your coins from your account.
We will be shutting down the site this week, as PoW has ended.
If you didn't set up an autopayout threshold or didn't specify a payment address,
then  your mined coins are still in the pool's wallet.
Please claim your blackcoins immediately.
Thanks for mining with us.

sorry but i'm really newbie, "your weight is 3300" is my stake? i'll receive 3300 bc in 5 days?

No, stake-weight you can think of as an indication of how 'heavy' your holdings are with coin-age, combined with the size of your stake. It's not giving the expected payout number of BC.

The price is back again.
Some evil whales must be behind this.

are you planning to add your coin to cryptsy ?? this one thing will make me invest in your coin
i dont like crypsy..MIntPal much better and much lower fees..black coin had more volume last few days on mintpal then any coin on crypsy

Agreed. Cryptsy is slow in every imaginable way Smiley

Yeah.... I have to agree I dont like cryptsy as well especially with its high fees.  Plus as most stated cryptsy is the place most altcoins go to die LOL.

Mintpal has low volumes and less users , let's see when it gets the volume cryptsy handles how it will go

Is it a pump or natural growth?

The bump from 2050->2200 was just someone buying in. Atm we're doing quite good Smiley (probably natural)

ok, cause it sometimes looks like only someone wants to offload his coins in the 2000 range

You're right, it's probably the 160BTC dude from yesterday. Blocking all upward movement and dumping his coins to ppl trying to pump Smiley I watched a 2.1 BTC buy @2000 vanish and then when a 1.9 @ 1950popped up, he put up a wall at 2010 lol..

2.1 btc is a drop in the bucket when the volume is in hundreds of btc /day

Agreed, but that wasn't my point.

There is nothing wrong with a guy watching BC having 160 BTC. IF anything that should solidify that there are some big players looking to get back in the market before the pool goes live.

Well, in this case... He had 160BTC in BC

that was probably a glitch on your side. no one wallet has more then 2% (top wallet is like 3% but pretty sure that's the mintpal one) even the exchange wallets.

Actually, you can't tell how many coins are in a given wallet or held by a single person because all you can see is how many coins are held at a given address and a wallet/person can and probably does have multiple addresses.

When BC goes to cryptsy the price will crash first. It always happened when a coin joined cryptsy. However when the multipool is open and BC is on cryptsy, Radiostatic can use cryptsy API to buy BC.

That's what I am saying, out of the top 20 there are 6-7 known exchange address, even if you add them all up together they don't equal 9 million.

If these wallets were not used, then your looking at hundreds of wallets, which makes even less sense.

I guarantee it was a bug and it was sorted out quickly.

If you want to give this coin life, have it represent something bigger.

1. Donate a percentage to Civil Rights.
http://www.naacp.org/

2. Associate it with M.L.K.

No fucking thanks
+1 comes off pretty racist aswell imo lol.

Blackcoin price has now stabilised nicely. 24 hour after 1,200 sat low we have a steady rising trendline. This is a very good sign, with price stability comes lower risks. Current trendline suggests +800 satoshi per day. If that is correct, we will trade between 2,600 - 3,000 within 24 hours.

I am extremely bullish BlackCoin and have added further to my position today at dips to 2,000 area.

Thanks for the chart updates and technical-analysis. I share your general view of the situation and am likewise adding on at present buy levels. Holding some back for bigger dips, but alas I don't think they will be so frequent now. Boo-hoo.

Radiostatic sounded confident it would be by friday, maybe a little earlier if it all goes well.

A solid support level on a gently rising trendline. No whales, just real increase in value. Very pleased.

I got burned by the pump-dumpers.  I bought in at 0.00003300 and then I watched it drop to 0.00001200 within a few hours.  OUCH MY A$$!!   Cry

I am glad to see that it's on it's way back up though.  I have faith in this coin, as I have faith in the concept.  Proof of Stake is a very interesting concept.  And I think this coin will stand out as the champion of "PoS".  Time will tell I suppose.  But for those of you who are not jumping on the bandwagon, you should read this wiki article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proof-of-stake.  The key thing is this, "The ratio of bitcoin's mining rewards to market value is programmed to decline exponentially. As this happens, proof-of-work monopoly will become easier and easier to obtain, whereas obtaining proof-of-stake monopoly will become progressively more difficult as more of the total money supply is released into circulation".

That said, Blackcoin is not speeding into a brick wall like most of these other coins on the market.  This coin is not so much for the pump-dumpers, but more for the long investors.  I would suggest dropping a few beans and buying up some coins while the price is low.

I am very confident of this coin for many reasons. For anyone new here, I will list my reasons:

1. Technical specification of the coin is perfect
2. Widely distributed
3. negligible 1% coin inflation (almost deflationary)
4. No pre-mine
5. Innovative and active dev team
6. Low coin count <75 million
7. Fully mined
8. Very fast transaction times
9. Great name

I've been involved in a lot of alts and nothing has caught my eye like blackcoin. This is a winner.

Buy on dips and don't sell cheap.
