Can we please make prominent these two key strengths of Blackcoin on the OP?

- 100% proof of stake means no wasteful proof of work mining (bitcoin miners cost over $15 million dollars of electricty every day to run. If Blackcoin was worth the same, it would be a fraction of that).

- 10 second transaction times. A lot of people seem to think it's 60 seconds because that was what it was when the coin was proof of work, but now we are proof of stake

I see topics asking what are the strengths of Blackcoin and I rarely see those above mentioned, when they are pretty key.

NXT is based on 100% brand new source code + a completely different protocol. It has promise but it needs to stand the test of time - for years like Bitcoin did before it can be held in great confidence. Forks of Bitcoin whilst differing slightly don't have anywhere near as much potential for security issues.

You forgot to mention 1 NXT transaction fee which is why I point no money into that altcoin.

Let me know when it is, and I may put some money in it. But I feel making each NXT unique and non-fungible is just too complex to adapt. It's a great concept, but even now I can't remember how it works.

maybe, but it seems that there is someting different with BC, dev and team seems to want to protect it enough long for it become like litecoin or btc. there is a huge communauty, and dont compare with aurora, here there is more people behind bc, and be sure these people want to hold it very long. all depends of the dev, and his choice. i hope i will not do as all the other scamscoins, and i think he wont, mostly when ecoins hit crypsty they all die, BC hit crypsty and go to the moon, and i hope after the moon it will reach jupiter.

jesus im not a blackcoin hater or a spammer some one said that nxt will never rise to "the top" or even come close so i asked a question and then gave the answers that you would find and pitched a case as to why he was wrong...

can you explain the various reasons for me? cos from what i see its

1. proof of stake

2. multipool with 71terahashes of mining power

3. cool logo

4.strong community

5..... cant think of anything technical or any feature that any other coin doesnt have... so if you do please enlighten me...

We also have very good specs, 10 second transaction times, 10K scrypt hashing. Great devs, who even pointed out bugs in other PoS coins like mint. A very advanced multipool that payouts better than any other mutlipool out there and its is constantly being improved.

il not argue with you over this.. blackcoin is a few steps above the rest but nxt is whole different ball game! we'll just see what happens in the future. il be bookmarking my first comment as a "told you so" as some point in the future(not so distant preferably) lol

That is the thing - next has consistently been full of promises and big claims, and they never amount to any big adoption or growth.

Blackcoin will have to keep implementing ideas, yes, to reach BTC levels, but it is well designed without any kitschy and annoying spammers (NXT has endless spammers trying to bring somebody else in to buy their bags.)

If NXT is going places (and that is what all of the bagholders say, changeless day after changeless day), why hasn't it bothered to do so since late September?

You posted here shortly after NXT got passed on coinmarketcap; I think your perspective might be a little biased.

(mine is bullish, but I know we will not see ONLY gains in the coming months. for now, though, at least our coin is doing the things it needs to)

from the massive volume there are high wallets dumping all the time... its just that there is so much volume it doesn't matter.

There are people who sat on 60k btc at the time it was going from 400 to 900 and didn't dump.
No worry about the big holders. worry about the herd of sheep with 3000 coins.
