ALWAYS BET ON BLACK - Update 7

STRONG PENNANT CHART FORMING - CONSOLIDATION IN PROGRESS

After the sharp price movements from yesterday a typical Pennant Chart is forming. This formation should resolve to the upside to test the 55K resistance when enough volume takes out the panic sellers that formed with the previous violent price movements.

See here for an explanation on Pennant Pattern:  http://www.investopedia.com/university/charts/charts6.asp

How much volume will be needed to break out? Looking at the three day chars we can see that the previous breakouts of resistance required 400 to 1000 BTC. In the last hour we attempted a break but the volume was not strong enough to get the job done.  Our recent attempt had 150 BTC volume.

Sellers and buyers after the break out attempt have re-aligned but buyers are displaying weakness at 45K, which if attacked could take us back to 40K Sad

Further consolidation is required here to rebuild 45K support and to gather enough BTC to go to the next level.

This is one of the main reasons I love Blackcoin.  You usually have to pay for this type of analysis.  Well done!

This is simply the hype wearing off. Look at the charts. This has happened after every jump and cool down. No worries.

Progress Report

Potential investors often read this thread to determine if BlackCoin is a good investment or not. It is time consuming to weed through the FUD and troll activity. I will be launching a new site soon that will be everything BlackCoin. Until then I decided to create a quick progress report to help anyone still doubting BlackCoin.

1. BlackCoin has increased 9820% in value since launching in February.
2. From April 1st to April 21st BlackCoin has increased in value 892%.
3. In the past week BlackCoin value increased 451.11%. (After the sell off)
4. BlackCoin has a total of $ 1,839,352 in daily trade volume.
5. BlackCoin is currently #3 in trade volume only beaten by Bitcoin and Litecoin.
6. BlackCoin market cap is currently $18,360,767 which puts BlackCoin in 9th place and quickly approaching 8th place.

If we have another week of 451% gains..we could easily be trading well above 200000 sat. Obviously 200000 sat in one week is very optimistic after having a sell off, and past performance does not guarantee future performance. However, if BlackCoin value only increase by 200% this week, we will be trading near 100,000 sat.

So if you are on the sidelines waiting to buy low, forget it! Now is the time to buy BlackCoins. The mid 45,000 sat floor will increase to at least 70,000 - 80,000 sat by the end of the week.

As always; Great Recap !

Just advise new investors here that I my reply to the above was deleted by a 'moderator' for being off topic.

In that reply I gave my opinion that BC is headed for a big dump.  And I also pointed out Whitecoin is now in the picture.

Not sure why this is off topic, unless we have a biased moderator - so just be careful what you type here, seems anything questioning BC is not allowed, so an accurate picture is not being given to people hoping to come here for fair discussion on the coin.

cheers

PS I have screenshot this page in case it gets deleted, then I will start a new thread 'BC Memory Hole' and repost the questions there for people to answer - cheers

EDITED: nvm I am going to stop replying to trolls all together its a waste of my time.

everyone who is thinking this is the next bitcoin and putting everything into it, especially the new people, this is very dangerous, and you will probably get burned.

whenever an investment is a sure thing or too good to be true, it usually isn't, since forever.  being digital dont make no difference.

its worth holding a few BC I think based on big community and its performance to date...

but DONT sell the family silver, as unlike Bitcoin which didn't have the competition around now, BC's recent performance can change in a nanosecond with something else happening in the market, and all the fundamentalist BC bitcoin millionaire wannabes will turn into an army of fundamentalist bagholders trying to pump to 100 satoshi claiming BTC has a 'great community' if you catch my drift.

cheers

This is good advice.  Never invest more than you are willing to lose.  Cryptocurrencies are closer to gambling than they are to investments.  However, if you do your research, it is more like gambling while counting cards.

Still, it is very speculative.  Proceed with optimism and caution.

That being said, GO BLACKCOIN!!!!

The holidays mostly and just normal market behavior. Within 24 hours we will see upwards movement again.

+1

The higher the price of BC the more obscene the predictions get. People need to keep their cool, I know it is very easy to get swept into the hype when prices start
to fluctuate, people start imagining yachts, sports cars and mansions.

BC prices were manipulated back to 50k. You're not stuck, someone is manipulating the price.

That's absolute basics.
Do not invest what you cannot afford to lose completely. Even though it is very unlikely with BC i don't have 50+K Euros saved money in it but "only" the 5k I can easily afford to lose at any time (damn, i am gonna make 2 millions and not 20 now LOL)...

If someone still mentions it here, it's just for the trolling effect and/or because they cannot say anything "anti-BC" that's actually related to the coin itself.

http://www.blackcoin.co/wallet-2/version-1-6-released/

Very nice wallet update!

Quote
Total list of updates in v 1.6:

  • accounting api deprecated and disabled by default
  • new command getstakinginfo
  • fix command resendtx
  • new option alertnotify
  • new option synctime
  • added dns seeds, irc seeding disabled by default
  • unlock for staking only in gui
  • add menu item for locking wallet
  • gui: add total balance
  • translations

IMO, the the translations and the new unlock feature are very important. I'm extremely pleased that an 'unlock for staking only' feature has been added! That is big for people worried about security.

you know that you could always do that with a console command? "walletpassphrase YourPassphrase 9999999 true"

Just the usual. People who bought coins at a cheaper price are selling. Happens every now and then.

I personally think it's mostly a big holder slowly dumping his coins (the same guy who tried to cause a mini crash yesterday). Eventually the sellers won't have anymore coins they are willing to sell at this price.

Not sure if this was ever posted here, but some good food for thought.  This is what Mark Cuban replied when he was asked about investing in bitcoin:

https://twitter.com/mcuban/status/403916745900978176

"I don't want to invest in bitcoin.  If virtual currency becomes acceptable I want to invest in the soon to be invented competitors"

That, my friends, is what I think Blackcoin is.  The recently invented competitor.

Love this coin!
