Linux QT self compile is a bit of a pain.. daemon compile is easy though.

I'll try to get a ubuntu QT distro out.. after saturday launch is smooth .. but no promises on that front..

It sounds like he is upset he will not be able to hit those 5-10 blocks easily after 2600 since the difficulty will most likely be high. Other than that this is a great option vs slamming the network all at once with that much hash.

You can get coins which you can use to buy graphics card by simply leaving the mining software on. I'm sorry, what's your problem again?

Hey i can certainly understand his concern...  I made out big on MAXcoins, the first day because it was such a botched launch.  

But let's call it for what it is.. that is an UNfair launch.. for the majority. It's only great for some lucky guys to rake in lots of money... It's a fair observation that we won't be launching like that..

I think it is fair. GPU should continue with their plan and disregard negative comments of the minority.

Because it is a good coin and the community appreciate its distinct features of the coin. It is not just for pump and dump coin. It actually has a business behind it.

Future coins should have business + dev team not just dev, worse dev + scammer.

It has 200+  pages because about 50 of them are broken pools spamming the thread about how awesome they are, 10 of them are people spamming/advertising other coins, and 130 of them are about how ceisure-inducing-mind-blowingly-fail the launch was. The remainder are on topic.

Guess I wont be mining this coin anymore. There's literally no point in solomining this coin anymore because by the time you actually get real block solomining, the difficulty is going to be skyhigh.

Well you can still solo mine.. it's just hash rates will be .. where it should be when mining "really" starts.

I think realstackcoin was at about 300 Mh/s crossing over that line.  With all pools functional.

I would rather the majority get a fair launch, than have a few people get an advantage over others.. even if they are more technically prepared.  Income inequality gap yo!

The point is to get all pools setup ahead of time, and have everything running smoothly ahead of real mining start.  So you'll be able to be on pools at the theoretical "block 1".  Everyone gets a fair shot. 

And if there is trouble between saturday->sunday.  We can debug/restart it without really affecting anyone since sunday is the real mining launch..

It is both a conservative and fair approach to coin launches..
