Well I've pulled everything I had out of Cryptorush, seems like it's on the way out?
Not sure whats going on really, i might just switch off my miner for a few weeks until it all picks up again. I wouldn't stop mining because of the exchange - just get any funds left in there out to a wallet. I don't feel there is anything wrong with cryptorush and going to close, its just laggy. No, i feel that the prices of coins has dropped of considerably, so will be looking to stop for a while. Doesn't mean you all have to. its my choice. to be honest, there are far too many exchanges. there need so t be some regulation on the amount of exchanges that pop up.

I just did the same. Had a couple million sitting there I didn't care to lose.

I have spoken to part of the team. I am very aware and concerned with Cryptorush. Everything you have heard is probably true. We need an exchange we can trust. We think Mintpal is the next logical step, and hopefully Cryptsy once we have the community and volume. I would not keep anything you can not afford to lose at Cryptorush right now. There is too much bad tweets from people long in the cryptoworld and if you just go sit in on their irc channel, you can watch the disaster unfold in real time. Until Mintpal, I think Bittrex and Atomic would be our best exchanges, problem is they are not well known, but their security and professionalism is way above Cryptorush (at least lately).

I am currently in contact with a few exchanges to try and get GPUC back up to the trading volume we were at. It's certainly not good that our best exchange is now having difficulties staying afloat.

Sigh. I'm in the same boat as you. Trying to buy GPUCoin to keep it going now I have 2 mil coins just in that account and I can't do anything about it. Let's hope they let just access it and withdraw.

i'm still pretty new to the exchange and how that effects things. so from previous comments, if the exchanges have low volume, does that mean my coins sitting on my computer hurts the value of the coin?

I was finally able to get to my balances on cryptorush, but it took about 45 minutes of constantly getting the cloudflare page (or whatever ddos protection). I luckily don't have any balances to get out of there, cause I have never trusted them enough to leave anything there. If I had something to actually withdraw, I'm guessing it may have taken anoth 30-45 minutes of continually reloading things. In short, I think if you are very persistent, you should be able to get your stashes out. I wish you all the best of luck!! ...and go vote on Mintpal --> https://www.mintpal.com/voting

No, the coins are safest in your wallets on your pc/laptop what ever you choose.. Try and make an offline wallet if possible or keep them on a huge mem stick with a backup of your wallets data. Unfortunately to trade w have to send the coins to the exchange. This is where it becomes unsafe. I think all exchanges should get lost and close. they are all crap. why someone doesn't just create a program that allows people to exchange their coins without the need of anyone owning the exchange. like the bitcoin itself and earn commission for the exchanges for keeping the program running like us miners do, keeping a ledger on their systems that cant be hacked and exchangable from the wallets themselves.

Nope if anything it helps... keeps the sale volume low, and keeps the coins safe, within your own level of responsibility.. bitcoin BUY volume is what helps the coin... if you have 1700 Bitcoin worth of people posting their coin for sale, and 3 bitcoin of people wanting to buy, thats what depresses the price... Ill give you an idea of perspective. Maxcoin - as much as I hate to mention that garbage coin, when it was released, it had 900+ Bitcoin (almost 1 million dollars) of people wanting to BUY maxcoin with their bitcoin.. The price reflected it as well. That was a mine and dump coin, I feel sorry for the folks that were stuck holding that. GPUcoin - during its 40 satoshi level, had 5-6 bitcoin worth of buy support, which means that toolbag small miners kept knocking the price down, and devaluing it.. I'd say presently price has to do with low volume from the unknown exchanges bittrex / atomic-trade (which actually happens to be a licensed exchange with USD support), and the ongoing mess at cryptorush.in Its a good time to buy right now, and mine for that matter, I have 51mh of pressure on it.. I can afford to wait the price out. It will swing around, especially if it hits mintpal and or cryptsy... Mintpal you need to buy your way onto... Hopefully the CEO will release some of that Seed money from the IPO to get us onto it. otherwise, technically he wont be able to resell those GPUcoins once those cards are gone.

We need to promote the coin more if it's ever to succeed. As for the exchanges part, i agree with jimlite that we have to focus our efforts towards getting listed on mintpal. Some of us keep voting as much as we can but we need more people helping.

FFS, not only did i buy at a shit price to help stimulate the market. I now can#t get at the coins i had in there and others, fucking shit exchanges. Please please stop these wankers from creating exchanges they don't know how to run.. And let this be a lesson to any wannabe who thinks they can rule the world with shit websites.
Just keep trying, its what I did. Finally got to them and withdrew.

dont sit your coins on exchanges
I never do normally, i was doing some exchanges today. then all of a sudden the site went down, i was in the process of doing a few exchanges with mintcoins and was about to pull the lot out. as i don't keep them on there any longer than a few hours. just poor timing i guess. It was another DDos attack thats all. they have been blocked and now the site is working again fine. tried it a few times and works ok.
