Hashfever died. I guess I will just have to point all my miners to DedicatedPool from now on.
Dont just point all your miners to Dedicated, they are great but that is unhealthy! You can point as much hash power you want to the P2Pool network without feat of 51% or fork. P2Pool is diverse by nature so 100% of miners could be mining on there. Solomining? P2Pool mining should net you a little better return and smooth out your luck. How to mine? See my sig line!

51% or a Fork will be a 51% or a Fork regardless of where it comes from. GPUC is not secure from this yet, network hashrate too low. I know a few farms which could destroy the coin in a matter of minutes if they decided to. Hashrate secures the chain. You guys need more people on the entire network, regardless of where.

Hashfever isn't dead its still running 33 mh/s on a 250 mh/s network. That's 13% of network hash, it has never been higher than maybe 15% total across the entire mining schedule so far. Your perception of a dead pool is highly skewed.

I am mining on hashfever and have been since day one. They are operating perfectly fine. You should recheck your miners and web.

Hendr1x, DEVS, or CEO Seems like GPU store front price is always low. It is at 10 satoshi, while the lowest sell price is 17 satoshi anywhere. Make sure it is not pulling the buy bids, as they are all lowballed.
jimlite, shouldn't they be doing it via buy bids? The store needs to sell it's coins so it can buy more GPUS. Basing the price off the sell bids won't help since they can't exchange for the sell prices, only the buy prices. As I am planning to start buying coins to get a GPU, it's a little daunting. I can go in and pay what the sellers are asking, or enter a buy bid and hope someone enters a counter sell bid. The process is definitely not easy or smooth. And there's a chance I will end up short coins or over (not as big of a deal) as the prices may change while I wait for the exchanges to cash out. I wonder if there would be a way to make that easier but still use GPU coins.

All of the cards are here, now it's time to ship them out. NICE. And I think the GPU store is pulling the wrong price, it is listed at 10 satoshi. I bought 100k at 16 satoshi, the lowest it has been all morning. People put in silly low buy prices like 3 satoshi, the gpu store price has to be off of sell prices, which are what people on the exchanges are willing to sell at, hence what you can buy it at, which is 17 satoshi, not 10 satoshi!

It is probably off of last executed sale, now that I think about it, but how someone got gpu coin at 10 satoshi, and I could only get it at 16 or 17 escapes me.

Well at current prices the sapphire 280x cards are selling for $318.36731376 which is a problem for the coin not the buyer. The original quoted price was supposed to be 380 the 62 in savings is a huge gap, I'm surprised there is still inventory in the store.

Good for Sapphire, but MSI 280x are $280 on Amazon if you use BTC->Amazon giftcard. So maybe people are doing that? As for the pricing on the website, can the web dev post up his algo for that? I'm curious as well. Mostly to see if they took my advice

I didn't run the math, but the gpu store price is close to 6 Mill for the 280x. I have been mining since day 1 to get 2 Mill to buy it. So I am just eating the electricity, and am no where near 6 Mill yet alone 2 Mill. I bought some coin to get closer to 1 Mill, but the price of gpu coin needs to go up, so the price of the card can go down to like 1 Mill, then people like me will buy them! With Asics ruining normal scrypt now, and will DEVISTATE it soon, our coin being scrypt-n should be THRIVING, not getting lower. We need some good P.R., marketing, exchanges, etc. But I think we will get there soon.

I posted a link on CoinedUp reddit for adding GPUcoin to the exchange. Someone claimed to have done that earlier but I don't see his submission (so I added this one). Please UPVOTE. http://www.reddit.com/r/CoinedUp/Oh, and EMAIL Poloniex at [email protected] and ask them to add GPUcoin to the exchange there. I think that one is very attainable. Mintpal and Bter are much more of a challenge given the competition.

{ "pools" : [ { "url" : "stratum+tcp://gpu-stratum.hashfever.com:3262", "user" : "xxxxxxxx", "pass" : "xxxxxxx" } ] , "intensity" : "18", "worksize" : "256", "lookup-gap" : "2", "thread-concurrency" : "20481,14208", "gpu-memclock" : "1250,1465", "gpu-vddc" : "1.25,1.20", "gpu-engine" : "950,1100", "auto-fan" : true, "auto-gpu" : true, "expiry" : "30", "gpu-threads" : "1", "scan-time" : "1", "device" : "0,1", "scrypt-vert" : true }
I don't know if this is correct. first gpu is 290 and second is 270x
how do I add this : "gpu-vddc" : "1.240" without conflict the 290 gpu. do I just add it?
Just add the gpu-vddc command like any other. For example, if your default voltage was 1.25 for the 290 and 1.20 for the 270x, then the command would be "gpu-vddc" : "1.25,1.20", Of course, you enter whatever voltage you want to.

Well, something isn't right. If you freeze current prices, I'd need to spend .92 of a BTC to get 5,800,000 GPUC at 16 satoshi (Atomic-Trade) which is $480 USD. Am I doing my math wrong?

...and this is what you and folks like you don't understand. Value has nothing to do with the algo, otherwise BTC would be worth an ant's fart. Scrypt coins will go up in value, but only certain ones worth a damn. Poopcoin and Happycoin and Dogecoin and Whatevercoin will not continue to rise over time, whether they use Scrypt, or ScyptN, or X11, or FunkynoodleAlgo or whatever. This coin would actually be worth more right now if it were Scrypt. I know that's a hard load to swallow but it's true. I went over the math long ago as to why, but you hit on one of the points: electricity. When they switched the algo they failed to take into account electrical costs. They could've gone X11 with better results than ScryptN, but they didn't. Anyhew, that's a dead horse. Like I said.. the business needs to get more and more attention. This would fix your problems of profitability.

No you are not doing your math wrong, but the store itself is pulling the numbers differently (not completely sure where the numbers are getting sourced from). If you go by the store numbers it's far lower.

Keep calm people, this is not classic pump and dump coin... if you trust in business model you will invest now with losses and wait until it kicks off and market sattles down.. when there will be the need for this coin then the price will rise, not because of stupid hype marketing.. just wait until new generation of GPUs start hitting the market...
