In the last 24 hours:

OKAYPOOL: Amount: 13243467.625 ECC, Valid blocks: 84, ECC per block: 157,660.32, shortfall: 42,339.67 ECC per block

Hashfever: Amount: 1,482,055 ECC, valid blocks: 9, ECC per block: 164,672.78, shortfall: 35,327.22 ECC per block

Novahash: Amount:  1643144.004 ECC, valid blocks: 8, ECC per block: 205,393.00, shortfall: -5,393.00 ECC per block

Well, if you were mining at Novahash, you did OK during the last 24 hours, but otherwise you were raped even worse than in the previous few days. And even with Novahash, they only averaged 165,054.5 ECC per block for the last 7 days.

if multipools choose only the more profitable blocks to mine (say 200K-300K), then just mine with multipools.

Given that no one has come up with an explanation for why a multipool would be hoarding ECC after they cherry-pick it, I'm going to conclude that a Russian criminal controlled bot network is a much more likely explanation. It's not surprising that the criminals involved in that would find an exploit like ECC has to be irresistible.

Joining a mob-controlled bot network is hardly a reasonable option. So what do you suggest miners do if you don't fix the coin?

While I'm at it, the crooks have managed to hoard about 700,000,000 ECC. That's not bad, considering they have only been at it for about 5 days, and 384,000,000 coins are created each day.

Stay calm, we fairly distributed ECC to many people already. Remember our algo did not halve. After first halve it's injustice and not fair anymore (we don't cut rewards %50 or %150) when compared with others. There maybe few days with attacks, still not clear to me, but it happened or can happen only 2 weeks. Most cryptos out there and fine. Think about this. also this guy if bad intention ed, will ruin himself in the end. Goodwill and being in communicating with people is real richness coins makes you slave or evil if you get them in bad ways... Because easy coins has to be protected from others, because all others cheating see the trap mechanism? Also easy coins are worthless and you cant really hold them. If you want to buy such a chaos go and do so.

 After mining all you need to hold,  we will soon launch our official multipool and will start a new page or hope in crypto world.

Just wanted to mention since there are apparently people that have received Eccoin from Ecchouse recently, that although it may be working for some people it is not working for others like myself. I have two days worth of mining there, 215,000 coins that I cannot even manually payout. I checked it this morning and switched to another pool after noticing that it was no longer adding coins to my unconfirmed/confirmed balance. The network difficulty on cgminer was also displaying over 1000, and for some reason my mining rig was not being displayed as an active worker when I arrived home tonight. This is unusual as Ecchouse is my default pool, and my mining rig has been running for the past several weeks without any issues. I would think it was an issue with the connection to the stratum, but PC's GPU was mining it just fine. There were also no issues with my connection to the internet on the mining rig. Ecchouse has been a great pool thusfar, but until this issue gets corrected I will be mining elsewhere, and if you are still mining there, you should do the same just in case.

Beat me to it, but that confirms it for me - it's not just a bug on my end. I think everyone on ECC house is mining DOGE for someone. Is it possible the pool has been compromised? Are we being scammed? What a shame, this was a great pool, mined on it for weeks.

+1 Have to agree, the first thing I thought of when I saw the difficulty was that cgminer did a failover to a dogecoin pool. But when I looked it certainly was ecchouse.

I say the reward is fair even if it is cut in half, as long as you always know what the reward is. You can use a calculator. If you get too few coins at that difficulty, you go and mine something else and you trade for the coins. Either way, you get the right number of coins in the end. What is not fair is if you are told you will get so many coins per block, but you actually get fewer coins. That has been the situation with ECC for the last several days. The statistics show this.

Yes, it is true that a guy with bad intentions will often hurt himself in the end, but he will often hurt other people, too. We should not show criminals that this is an easy coin for them to cheat with. They will come and cheat and cause problems. They already are doing that. Worse, they are hoarding coins so they can cause problems in the future. We can see that happening by using the block crawler.

It is true that the attacks only started recently. You can not prevent them from happening now or in the past. But you can fix the coin so that they can not happen during the final week of mining. Should you not do that?

if we change reward system now as fixed whats gonna happen 32 days earlier miners? is not that unfair to them... There is a randomizing part put to motivate and put extra excitement in wallet for miners.

Also this is a bad thing if we make 5th update in such a short time (ask again all others to update) and "dreamed attacker" which decrease my morale and motivation. We have bigger problems such as a new coming ecc multi pool. i hope this attacker, if any, should stop picking up easy coins. And those who believes this scenario should quit mining or mine others or buy ECC. In the end we will only mine others anyway :-)
