Pakistan Vs Srilanka match is badly effected by rain and i think it may be declared as a draw. I think Pakistan should not be happy with one point  
They could have easily beaten the Srilanka team considering their previous performance against England.

In my opinion, ICC should move the Cricket World Cup to Aug-Sept or Sept-Oct months instead of May-June (Rainy Days). It's not football, it's cricket and the matches gets spoiled if there is little to heavy rain.

Well, that's needs to be decided before the start of the world cup. The better option is that rain affected matches should be played the next day. This way it will be fair for both teams. Who knows the one point lost by both teams might be do or die situation to qualify in the last 4.

Well, that's needs to be decided before the start of the world cup. The better option is that rain affected matches should be played the next day. This way it will be fair for both teams. Who knows the one point lost by both teams might be do or die situation to qualify in the last 4.

I was talking about a permanent solution. This is an issue for a long time now.

"The next day play for rain affected matches" will create trouble for the tournament which has already started.

And yes 1 point is a lot, whereas a single extra run can change the match result and that's why cricket is a game of heartbeat, high pressure. IIRC some peoples got a heart attack because of their fav team lost.

The problem is that unlike the case with the Indian sub-continent, the rainfall is very uniform throughout the year in the British Isles. You can shift the world cup to August-September, but there is no guarantee that matches will not get washed out by rain. IMO, the only viable option is to have reserve days, or to conduct the matches in stadiums with retractable roof.

I don't think there are many stadiums with retractable roof facility, but it is a must-have thing for cricket. Nice point!
I think there are plenty of retractable roof stadiums for football, which is not so important as it is important for a cricket ground.

Reserve days maybe not a solution because there are audiences involved who bought tickets with money and may not want to come for the second day - maybe they should keep refund option

Not all the time World Cup event will be held in the British Isles. ICC may choose the time by ignoring the rainy periods no matter where the event will be held.

In my opinion, Afghanistan is a lot better team and they proved it in a short period of time.
England never won the world cup, does that mean they are inexperienced? I don't remember when England started playing cricket, maybe from 1975... Afghanistan needs to go a long way.

They are good team but I doubt that it's enough to beat Sri Lanka New Zealand even thought they (NZ) are not in good shape. In predict Sri Lanka New Zealand to win. And in the other match it will be England however may be this will be a very tight match.

On a side note, I hope there will be no rain tomorrow. It's pathetic to see rain is interrupting matches.

I hope there will be rain, i have seen some crazy odds 65x to 85x when it comes to no results and actually i missed placing the bet today which sucks  .
Sri Lanka facing Pakistan was a good contest, the real problem is that we were not sure which version of Pakistan team will perform tomorrow, the first match and the second was really contrasting to each other but the weather had other ideas .
Tomorrow i am going all in for England to win the match after they tasted defeat by Pakistan i am sure they will dominate this match.

Apart from the England vs Bangladesh match, we have another one today, which is between Afghanistan and New Zealand. Both the matches are crucial, for England and NZ respectively. If they lose, then their playoff spot will be in trouble.

Bangladesh have won the toss and bowling first . England have made a good start as they are 40 runs in 7 overs and no wickets . So if they can capitalise this start for next 5 more overs or more then they are set to make a big score if middle order batsman can fire .

I am betting on Win for both England and  New Zealand today. England having lost their previous match, they will be under a lot of pressure to win this one as they cannot afford a loss against Bangladesh. England have started the innings slowly but now they are pickup pace and also they have not lost a wicket yet in the first 10 overs.

Bairstow got out just now and that breaks a well set opening partnership. England is now 128/1 after 19 overs. Anyway, they have got a good start. The responsibility is now on Joe Root and Eoin Morgan, to ensure that they finish above 350. The pitch is not offering much support for the bowlers, and therefore any score below 350 will be very vulnerable.

Now both teams are very strong in terms of batting but when it comes to bowling Bangladesh is weak, so there is a huge chance for the England team to win the team even if we compare with the previous world cups. Bangladesh has already defeated one of the best team in the world is SA, so England should carefully play the match.

No interest for the New Zealand vs Afghanistan match? Perhaps everyone is expecting this match to be one-sided in favor of NZ. But I think Afghanistan will be able to give good fight today. They are batting first, and have scored 18 without loss after 3 overs (the in form bowler Matt Henry went for 12 off his first over). Any score above 300 will be competitive at Taunton.

386 is a massive total by England and i think it is not possible for Bangladesh to chase it.
Shakab is playing excellent and he is not out at 120.  Although Bangladesh may lose it  but his batting will be remembered.

Finally we saw a big total scored,hopefully we see many more games like the England match. We will see two of the top teams play later today as India take on Australia. This is going to be an interesting match as the winner will most likely be the favourite to win the World Cup.

This time each and every match we can see good cricket being played, another thing it is getting to be very common to see the scores above 300. Today's match seems to be really interesting, and I'm not sure among the two one winning to be the favourite for the Cup. Good expectation is found over both the teams, but with each and every team performing good the conclusion from my view needs more time to predict the cup winner.
