Exactly. That's the unfortunate truth nowadays. Developers are only interested in making money, instead of delivering a working product for the mainstream world to use. We have the situation where most altcoins are simply copies from other prominent cryptocurrencies on the market. Such altcoins become useless over time, because they don't provide unique features from other cryptocurrencies that are higher in market cap.

Still, I believe that as time passes by, people will realize that only Bitcoin and Ethereum are needed. As such, most altcoins will become abandoned while only a select few will remain actively traded on the market. We all know that the crypto space advances at a fast pace. Which is why, cryptocurrencies that are unable to keep up with the competition, will become abandoned for the next big thing in the mainstream world.

Nonetheless, only the top 5 to 10 cryptocurrencies in market cap seem to be the most useful. Others below that, might have some use or no use at all. Hence, having money invested in said cryptocurrencies will give you an advantage in the future. Just my thoughts

Personally I think that altcoins will rise and become more popular than Bitcoin in the future.  This is because due to several drawbacks of bitcoin.

One drawback is the scalability. With the rise of bitcoin transactions, we can already observe that it takes time to confirm a transaction and this will give advantage to the true altcoins that solves this scalability issue. Another thing is that bitcoin mining needs a considerable power consumption. Therefore, alternative algorithms like PoS will be prefered by the people as those algorithms don't need such a power consumption.


I agree that there are so many useless altcoins. However, my opinion is altcoins that can truly facilitate mass adoption with less barriers won't be useless.

That's a very difficult question.  Because opinions are divided.  There are many good coins and profitable ones.  But there are a lot of crappy coins.  This is true, and with the shitty coins much more.  And with this you need to do something.

Useless only those coins that come up from day to day in order to cut us money.  All fraudulent projects are worthless.  And top super.  In them you can invest they can be trusted.
