Trust list mistakes: (accidentally) adding the wrong users

I've seen a few users who (most likely) added the wrong users to their trust list.
I'll use this topic as a reference, feel free to add more cases.

1.

I think they tried to "add everyone" by adding a *, not knowing it's an existing old username. They haven't been online in years.

I know when I've added people to my list I found it difficult at first trying to spell/add them properly. I haven't really checked out to many peoples lists to see if they've made the mistake. I'd probably only notice it if I saw a weird trust rating or something along those lines. 

It would be nice to see a "button" under a users profile to add them to your trust list, followed by a pop-up explaining what you are doing/ are you sure.

Much like me, lol. Good idea putting it out there as a potential feature in Meta, I hadn't considered doing that.

I think a userscript could be made for this, so that it opens Trust settings and adds to "trustlist" the username passed as parameter.

Exactly, I tried to add DarkStar_ but haven't noticed this "_" little guy in his username  .

Already changed my reputation settings and removed this bad Darkstar from my list.

I like it too because there would be a lot of such mistakes, I assume. TBH never checked the exact username spelling, if it was not complicated, like Darkstar.

You're right, I didn't consider (nor check for) the possibility that you included DarkStar_ and excluded the other one. That makes perfect sense:
