You are right, ICOdrops seems so strict in their criteria when it comes to rating ICOs which is a good thing. I used to use it during the ICO boom but the problem was their top rated projects would sell out in seconds even before you get a chance of buying any token s for your self.

The team behind this website https://www.concourseq.io is also good at vetting ICOs but the problem is the website is not that popular and the owners seem to be very busy with other things at times so updating it takes longer sometimes.

You can see every rating in every ICO.
There are good site to see recommended ICO

Frankly speaking, I will not advise anybody to invest in the ICO. If you are newbie then it will be strictly no until and unless you are capable of being doing the research on your own.

You shouldn't invest into ICO these days. Listen to what the majority says about it, many of ICOs today are scam and you are going to lose your money instead of earning. Give priority to the money that you have and the advise that I can give you right now is to find a way on how you are going to save money to invest.

So saving money first, before you can do that you need to look for a job. If you want to set up a mining farm there that's all you have to do, you are lucky enough to live in a place that has cheap electricity but you have one more challenge to conquer and that is on how you're going to save money to start your mining farm.

You will need to do personal research on ico to buy. Financial investment can be quite risk , but the reward can be huge if positive at the end. My own opinion you can buy IEO instead of ico. The risk is minima compare to ico.

You can see many ICO's review site but most of the review sites are not good to choose the good ICO. ICOs are rated by force or by money in most of the ICO's review sites. So don't make fool by them. You should research by your self to get legit and good ICO.
You may follow the top ICO's investor or researcher in cryptodiffer.com (don't depend only just for seeing).

The present year doesn't seems to be the best year for ico's. 2017 and 2018 provided with a big market for ico's and those who invested by that time have turned millionaires if they've used the bull market perfectly. Now the entire market is fallen low, upon which I prefer that the market will recovery supporting the growth of ico's as well along with the top coins in the market.

However, as must as I would like to share more info, I would not recommend investing in ICO right now if you are seeking for instant profit.
The current market is still bearish and you can find more potential coins that are already in exchanges now than the new coins in ICO project.

You need to know that joining ICO is highly risky, only use money that you can afford to lose. For the recommendation, how about give it a try into ICO on Binance Launchpad? Take a look at BitTorrent (BTT) and Fetch .ai (FET), the ROI is kinda high. And now Celer Network ICO will be starting soon in couple of days, check them out.

mainly because they are easily fooled into believing that "bitcoin is expensive" and for some reason some of them go as far as thinking they have to only buy 1 full bitcoin and there is no other option!!! on top of that the extensive advertisement done by these ICO and altcoin scammers fools them into thinking they have found a "new bitcoin" that is going on the same path so they jump on board at 1 cent thinking it will be worth as much as bitcoin but then they get dumped on and figure out the reality.

For a starter, Investing in an ICO is a wrong move. I would rather suggest that study this industry first, and learn things rather than joining ICO, ICO's nowadays are full of scammers/scam projects for the same reason I suggest to study first, just for OP to know or to identify which is a legit or not. There are reputable sites that advertise some ICOs but as for me, I'd still prefer my own information about. ICOs are risky and it's already given, so as much as possible try to avoid it not unless you are very sure about your move/s.

I don't want to discourage you but I think it is best you invest in something else order than ICO because we have a lot of ICO projects this days and you might not be able to differentiate the bad from the good and end up losing a lot of money to scammers. I will advise you even stick to your mining than investing in ICO, or better still try investing in IEO which is the new kind of ICO available and it's more trusted than ICO itself because it's very much regulated by exchanges.
