@DireWolfM14. I am also very much surprised to see Najee Harris to have joined the Chargers this year. It appears that Jim Harbaugh is going to position veterans for Justin Herbert for this season. The team has also made a trade for the return of Keenan Allen for 1 year. This will certainly help Herbert to throw long passes on the field.

A playoff slot is not assured but it might have more certainty than last year. I very much wish they can win a wildcard game to witness them play in a divisional hehehhe. This will be an improvement.

During the Steelers / Jaguars game yesterday, the longest field goal ever was kicked by Cam Little of the Jags -- a 70-yarder.    This beats Justin Tucker's 66 yard FG in 2021, but it doesn't actually count toward NFL records because it happened during a preseason game.

The kick was placed on the Jags 40 yard line -- pretty nuts. You can watch it at the 4:46 mark in the game highlight video here.

Little is probably worth considering as a FF prospect... I don't think that kinda thing happens by accident.

I have not been paying attention at all lately besides outside, asking hampz who the league was going to be with which I believe he said yahoo which no big dea, just wanted to make sure y’all knew that I am of course in it play again /happy to be in it again this year.  will spend some time later today or tomorrow, digging in past notes just to see where things stand if any changes have been made or if there’s anything I need to vote on, etc. looking forward to another great year guys!

It's been kinda dead around here.  I was afraid everyone was tired of the league.  If everyone wants to stick to Yahoo FF, I'm okay with that, but I was hoping to try out Sleeper this year.  If it sucks, we can always switch back next year. 

Or, here's an idea; I can start a sleeper league and we can do some mock drafts there for a little while, if we don't like we can use Yahoo.  How do you guys feel about that?

The league settings are the same as we used last year, most importantly no PPP, and 1 point per first down.  But, I added a bonus of 0.2 points per sack-yard to strengthen defense.

@DireWolfM14. Okay, I will try Sleeper later for some mock drafts. I have gotten used to Yahoo Fantasy already and I like where you can rank the players and it will appear as how you ranked them on the draft. If there was a way to do this in Sleeper then this will be okay for me.

In any case, who else has tried Sleeper? @ChiBitCTy, I reckon, but who else and is there a big difference in user experience to have a real cause for us to transfer?

OK, I'd be down for trying out Sleeper. The app was quite easy to use. I am more of a desktop than a phone person... looking at player stats & whatnot on a big screen is easier for me. But I have no objection to changing to Sleeper for this season. I'm gonna be busy with IRL stuff for the next few days but count me in.

And for the record I like the idea of adding a few more points for the DEF position. In real life, it is about half the team / game, so why not.

Got your pm and i'll do FF on sleeper or yahoo. Familiar with both and both are easy to use. With less than a month until the season we should probably get a final count and start setting the rules and buyin in stone. I'm good with anything $100 or under.

The Pick-Em pool is phone only, but Fantasy is available on both devices.  I would object to doing fantasy on phone only, my eyes aren't getting any younger and I like being able to have multiple windows open when doing research. 

If you use the same account you created for the pick-em pool you'll see all the "channels" on the left panel.  Click the link I sent you when logged into a PC and login using the same credentials.

Since I have done so bad in the previous years, I would like to request that whomever my opponent is each week has to leave out 1 RB lol. I need an edge to beat you sharks.

I’m sure we could find 1 or 2 more if need be. How many are confirmed so far? I saw the list above but wasn’t sure if those were all 100% confirmed.

I'm going to negate your vote on both of those!  
I like PPFD and kickers are my favorite position.  J/K about that last part, but really I do want to keep kickers.  Kicks and First Downs are a significant part of the game IRL, and I don't see a reason why we shouldn't include them in fantasy.

I see that there are only 3 people in Sleeper hehehehe. Everyone should try it so we can vote. I reckon it is a simpler platform than Yahoo Fantasy. This can be good and bad, however, I do not mind switching to this. All the important things like player queuing and ranking them according to your own rankings can be done also in Sleeper.

There is also an IOS app which I like much more than the desktop version. I will try to do some mock drafts later with player queuing and personalized rankings.

It also appears everyone ranks Jamar Chase as no.1 pick? This might be another Taylor-McCaffrey occurrence where the no.2 pick is much better, Saquon Barkley.
