READ: I posted on their ANN accusing the project since contents of their whitepaper have been plagiarized from various sources. Fortunately, they replied but they admitted that they indeed, copied some parts. They did mention that they would edit their whitepaper after 24 hours but I saw no signs of any activity, thus this accusation.

Good detective work OP on catching plagiarized whitepaper, and I don't think they will come back again in forum, but instead they will create different token with new name.

Great, Another superb finding op. Keep your work is ongoing by catching such scammers. It seems most of the part of the whitepaper is copied same to same from others. You are so fast to catch them even before nobody posted after the ann thread created. So it makes sense that you are so active there. You should also ask them to come here for explaining.

Woops thank you for reminding me to create the flag! Though they are kinda responsive in their ANN thread, I do hope that they completely abandon this project so investors would be notified that such project is a scam.

To be honest, it just so happened that I stumbled upon their ANN and decided to check their whitepaper. To my surprise (actually no), the contents of their WP were copied and plagiarized fro various sources. I warned them on their ANN but the OP replied to me privately. I do hope that he replies and answers to my formal accusation now.

Scammers are very active to take advantage of the HYPE of DeFi, they try to make their shitty project better by stealing the content of various projects. So that they can deceive as many people as possible, And just like that, they have made such a failed attempt.

TBH, I don't think if these scammers are going to do such a thing. Therefore a flag should be created. So people should be aware of this.

Flag has already been created, check the accused profile trust page for the flag. I was also thinking the same when I found the OP's post not containing the link to the flag, probably they forgot to edit the OP after creating the flag and linking it to the thread.

Flag has been supported, we are seeing similar scams everyday and thus people who are in this forum should become more and more aware of these methods. Fake teams, copied whitepapers are go to signs of scam.

Newer methods to scam will come into play but we will handle them as well.

There's not going to be a "next defense", although we do understand you would like that as it gives you some sort of self-satisfaction to cyber-bully us. We already explained it here best we could, especially point #3:

Being a part of crypto community we do understand that this space is still very fishy and there are a lot of bad actors out there. I would like to explain where we are coming from, if you don't mind.   And we (Multiswap team) are coming from an European country, our team consists of 3 members - 2 developers and a graphics designer.
Point #1: neither of us is a native English speaker. Writing a technical paper in a foreign language is not as easy as I'm sure you can try to understand.
Point #2: we have signed legal agreements with a few large investors to produce the Multiswap protocol's infrastructure, there's nothing about whitepaper in our agreements but we did it anyway, because well, it's pretty standard for crypto projects, and yet, technically we could have had no whitepaper at all.
Point #3: we used bits from the different sources'/products' technical documentations that are open source and that we are going to use, it's not like we just straight copied some single project and presented as a new.
Point #4: our priorities are a bit different than rewriting a perfectly fine original source in different words. Where's productivity in that, one might wonder? Yes, we could hire someone for $50 to rewrite a couple of paragraphs in different words, and maybe we will, would that make the project "not scam"?...

Now, we are going to fix the whitepaper when we have the time, sometime soon. Hopefully this week, 100% next week. If you feel compelled to report anything we can't stop you, but with this, we ask you kindly to end this discussion.

If you people really think that rewriting few paragraphs of text makes project legit, or that arguing on the internet is the most productive way of spending their time for our team, then our opinions are different way beyond the point where it's possible to find mutual understanding.
