I was waiting for this opportunity. Do you know when next year's EPL pool will be opened too?

I'll probably do it this week sometime but won't be taking payments in until nearer the start. Just keep an eye on either Games and Rounds and/or the PL Discussion thread.

Shame our team is horrible, but I already discarded any chance of a decent result so anything is a bonus.

hilariousandco, this is not like EPL which lasts for several months, you will certainly have a shorter deadline and it may be better to define the access time to the pool as soon as possible. Also and there must be a shorter payment deadline. After the first three rounds, half of the teams will finish the competition and there it will be much less game to play.
someone will easily lose motivation after a few bad predictions. We don't want to have a pool with just a few active players.

It will be tough to push something like that trough. There is a lot of people that consider even current fee as too big.

If you want more action there is always a possibility of side bets and additional pool. I believe we had additional pool one year where 5 of us paid more and winner took all money. I am also having side bets with various participants in almost every pool.

I can put up another 0.002BTC to cover the difference for two participants who would otherwise be on the fence if it were to increase (so another 0.001BTCx2).

I am not sure about raising fees, also think that the best is to organize side pool with smaller number of participants with higher fee
IMO, it is better to have more participants, than higher fee and few participants

it is up to hilariousandco to decide, but even with smaller chances to win, it is more interesting to fight more participants in the pool

I don't mind paying more but I've tried doing it before and a lot of people showed resistance. It will inevitably price some people out and I would rather have more playing than less.

What does everyone think of potentially using the official UEFA predictor website?

They have two. One where you predict how the teams will finish in the group stage and progress through the tournament and then another that is like superbru but you get extra points for things like which team scores first and what player scores first:

You can try the first one out without singing up so check it out. We could do both and combine the points at the end of it for the overall winner. Or use the regular superbru and then the tournament predictor and combine the points. I'd like to combine them in some capacity as I think it makes it a bit more interesting.
