Here is an idea, since 100g of gold is roughly equal to 0.1btc at currect prices why not a 100g gold bar funded with 0.1 btc

yes it was over sold - people were sending in pymts without waiting for confirmation on availablility - Alpen has to sort thru the requests and payments and most likely issue quite a few refunds.

correct - the issue was that people were sending payments without waiting to see what inventory was left (as there was a limit to 100 bars).

people should have placed their reservation and once alpencoin confirmed it - then sent their payments. It got kinda crazy to say the least and now a lot of people are angry it seems at alpencoin as many paid and will not get a bar - when really they should be angry with themselves for not getting confirmation on their reservation first.

My bar was one of the first reserved and I don't even get to have it - I told Alpencoin to go ahead and give it to someone who was complaining about not getting one because they had paid - so whoever gets #76, be happy as you got my bar

And now my set of #76's of Alpen's will be missing a piece

I feel you Mopar haha. I was one of the first 10, received confirmation, but I was actually too slow in making the payment; that's my fault. By the time I was home, the chaos was already in full swing. Thankfully, I had already won #50 in a raffle

lol in case you missed the thread/posts above the bars are over sold many who reserved a bar are not getting theirs and quite a few who paid for the bars are not getting them.

This is not due to Alpencoin causing an issue but from people who sent in payments without confirming the availability.
