Thank you but unfortunately, it's already too late for me [the damage is done, but scratches aren't visible from the angle at which I took the first picture].
You can however still prevent more damage and cover the old scratches

Interesting cheap DIY ''cover'' could be made with plastic foil and a bit of heat to shape it correctly.
I know about 3d printing for plastic but I am not sure if there is something similar for silicone or rubber.
You're right about its length, but I noticed the Model One that I have came with a higher-quality cable [at this point, I think they should stop shipping their products with cables since they're quite short and no longer that good].
Nah, I have that cable and it's cheap, short crap.
For what it's worth: I don't think I've ever even broken a phone screen, and my phone travels a lot more than my hardware wallet.
Maybe you are more careful than most people.
I know a bunch of people who broke their phone screen or screen protector.
Maybe there is a market for such ultra-durable hardware wallets. But price is the main factor probably. If such wallet wallet would cost $300-400 or more, not really sure how many buyers they would get.
There is a market for durable hardware wallets, same as for any other durable things, like watches, phones, etc.a
I don't think they need to be very expensive, they just need to adopt something from G-Shock.
