Now we can say Liverpool are champions. Arsenal have lost points again and mathematically Liverpool are very close to becoming champions. Years of longing are coming to an end for them. While Manchester City is absent in the title race, Arsenal couldn't win again. I wonder when this longing will come to an end. It would have been very rare for City to stumble, Arsenal failed to take this opportunity again. Next season City will probably return to their old ways and will be the biggest favorites for the title again. Arsenal missed the opportunity that came after years. They are paying the price for not buying a proper striker.

Indeed. Why not! We can't call Liverpool champions?
The way they have been performing since the beginning actually means that they have no competitors in the Premier League, at least not this season. And their current points indicate that they are going to lift the champion trophy this season. Arsenal is in second place behind Liverpool, but there is a 15-point difference between them, which is currently impossible for Arsenal to beat.
The more I watch Liverpool's matches, the more I am surprised that they perform as well at home as they do away.

Yes, Liverpool can be confirmed as champion if they get 16 points. They can lock the 1st position if they can win all the next 4 matches. So, whatever Arsenal gets, if Arsenal wins all the remaining matches, Liverpool still gets the Premier League trophy for the 20th consecutive time. Liverpool shouldn't worry about that, and they can focus only on the champions league and, of course, the Carabao Cup also which waiting them on final versus Newcastle. Treble winner is possible now; Liverpool was back on trophy track. This is also a tribute honor for Mohammed Salah, with the achievements at his current age on Liverpool. This 2024/2025 session is the best tournament for his dedication.

Liverpool played really horrible last night despite the 1-0 win. However this shouldn't be misleading because clearly Arne Slot didn't want to play all his cards. 

In two days, I'm confident that we will watch a completely different Liverpool. A much stronger one. Southampton is a really weak opponent and they will probably hope for not losing with another historical score.    The season is already theoretically over in terms of championship but still nothing is official yet. Therefore I won't expect any complacency from Liverpool until declaring it officially. Arne Slot already has 2 more years on his contract but this incredible season will secure his seat even more than ever.

Liverpool were nowhere close to their usual performance level we have been witnessing lately in the premier league this season, they looked weak and let PSG do most of the play in the game. PSG dominated the game throughout and Liverpool were only lucky to get a goal which was enough to secure an away win for them but against Southampton I expected a much better result and they delivered by securing all three points to keep their title dream alive and stronger.

We haven't seen Liverpool perform the way we've seen Liverpool perform in the Premier League, especially against PSG in the Champions League. Liverpool may have won the match against PSG, but PSG fully deserved this victory. 
PSG performed brilliantly throughout the match as they made multiple attacks but unfortunately all of their attacks were saved by the team's goalkeeper. Liverpool would never have won their Champions League opener against PSG if the team's goalkeeper had not provided such good support. Seeing Liverpool's performance in the Champions League, we can think that a team does well in the local league, but that team is not strong, that team will be strong only when it has the ability to do well against all kinds of teams in all kinds of tournaments. Liverpool still have weaknesses in some areas, and these weaknesses could see them exit the tournament despite being in a good position for the big tournament.

Southampton gave them a fright by scoring first but Mohamed Salah scored two goals in the 3-1 victory. Today Salah became Liverpool's third highest goal scorer and the fourth highest PL goalscorer on 184 goals. The next name he will try to surpass is Andy Cole who scored 187 PL goals.

Liverpool has usually struggled to score against Southampton, regardless of how poorly they perform in the Premier League. The first leg of the season ended with a score of 2-3, with Liverpool struggling before scoring the winning goal in the last minutes of the game. However, Liverpool struggled in the second leg at home, failing to score first, and Southampton got the lead in the first half with a single goal; I thought that Liverpool would not risk their players due to the midweek match.

Southampton might have gained 12 Premier League points this season out of 28 games, but they were unable to stop Moh Salah, Liverpool's hero this season, who converted two penalties, with Nunez scoring the first, and Liverpool won by three goals in the second half. Salah has a record to break at Liverpool, but we'll see if he can stay for another season.

Chelsea beat Leicester City 1-0 at home.

Tottenham drew 2-2 against Bournemouth after falling behind 2-0.

M.United drew 1-1 with Arsenal at home, I thought Arsenal would win this match.
M.United would have won the match if they could have kept the score but they could not protect their goal against the goal.

Chelsea might have won the game Cucurela was the goal scorer but then,  Caicedo remains my man of the match. Not just for this game but this season he has thrived under the new manager Enzo Maresca who is more of a tactically sound manager than Pochettino.  He has done well in the middle of the park countless occasions.


The race for the Premier League Competition has already been decided for me with that draw against Manchester United yesterday. Arsenal has fumbled opportunities and this is not the first IMO.

It was quite embarrassing that Chelsea struggled to win against Leicester City, a team that Manchester United has defeated three times this season. We believe that Manchester United did not have top players like Chelsea, but the third time they played against Leicester this season, they won the entire match.  Chelsea might have taken the lead with a penalty won by Sancho, but Palmer missed it for the first time in his career.

Playing against Bournemouth, even if you managed a comeback, was not an easy challenge because the club has been very stubborn since being promoted to the Premier League. Tottenham's performance has declined, and even when their injured players returned, they were unable to improve, after a Europa League defeat, they were unable to win at home and ended up with a draw.

Manchester City performance dropped drastically this season, and Nottingham forest has been playing well this season, before the match started, I knew anything can happen, and I was not sure one particular team will win the match, I know Nottingham forest will want to qualify for the champions league, and they are ready to do anything to achieve that, but if I will be saying the truth, seriously Nottingham forest really deserve to qualify for the champions league, they really played well this season.

Manchester City are always creating chances, but the problem is that they are always missing  most of those chances, and they are always conceding towards ending of the match, it has happened to them repeatedly in different matches this season, they are always conceding at the second half of their matches.

Manchester City has not been able to maintain its consistency well this season because in the first half of the season they played quite well but after entering the second half of the season their game became more chaotic and they could not show their best game at all. I think the top 4 place is now their target until the end of this season.

Well if they fail to close the season in the top 4 I think this season is the worst in their performance in several seasons. Indeed, the competition in the premier league is very tight but with the strength of Manchester City this season of course the depth of their team is still very strong compared to other teams. I think they have to learn to perform better in order to reach the top 4 ranking.

City have too many old players who starting to be non-existent. It forced them to take rest at least for a season to rebuild their squad. I admit it's very late for them to do regeneration. Their bad performance is the consequence from not doing it when their old players were still fit.

Don't be harsh to them cuz they only missed a season due to the various reasons. They will be so back once Pep is fully ready with his new squad, which is still in the process of rebuilding.

I also got some new names on the list of their priority transfer for the summer. They will also sell almost their entire players in the squad this season. Trust the process.

Judging from the current situation with a difference of 15 points between Liverpool and Arsenal even though Arsenal still has 1 match but it is clearly too far in terms of the points gap that occurs.

The remaining matches for Liverpool are currently only 9 matches and their points difference is 15 points so mathematically Liverpool currently only need to secure 4 matches or 5 matches to secure the current champion position if Arsenal can possibly win in their 1 remaining match.

But whatever it is regardless of whether Arsenal can get full points or not in their one remaining match with the current condition of Liverpool which is still very dominant in the fight for trophies in the end we can say from now on with the points obtained so far then Liverpool can become champions and lift the trophy this season after being dominated by Manchester City in the last few seasons

It's clear that Liverpool are the champions of 2024/2025 English premier League season, the point division for arsenal yesterday brings answers to it all. Arsenal played good game against Manchester United they possessed the game and created chances but if not for God of soccer they would have lost the game to Manchester United.
Let us take good look at the point difference from 14th to 8th which is the Europa League spot, the point difference is just 10 points that means the probability that Manchester United can still qualify for the Europa League is still 40 percent certain. Although it will be a difficult task for them but I believe they can still do it

This is not how football works, I disagree on what you said here, haven't you seen a situation whereby a team that normally is in a very bad form or a smaller opposition always beat a team above them in status and in league standings, or don't you know that most teams knows how to beat a certain oppositions, they might be very poor in form, but once they meet a certain team, they always win because they knows what they must do in other to win, so you don't judge football like that, because a team that Chelsea beat easily might even beat Liverpool that are way above Chelsea in league standings, so I urge you to think about all this before you say such thing again.
Every match comes with a different morals and tempo, sometimes weather might even play his own role in the final outcome of the game, and that's what makes football unpredictable and entertaining, because we are not sure of what might happen in the next game.

This was Tottenham's home match. We always expect a good performance from the home team. But did Tottenham play better than Bournemouth? I would say Bournemouth's performance was better than Tottenham's in this match.

Tottenham tried to dominate the match with 61% ball possession. But Bournemouth's players were able to attack more. A total of 17 shots were taken by Bournemouth players and 8 of them were on target. On the other hand, Tottenham's players took 12 shots. Still, Tottenham managed to draw the match. Tottenham's goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario performed very well in this match. If VIcario had not performed well, Tottenham would have definitely lost this match.

Chelsea won yesterday and didn't make their fans disappointed. But I don't think the fans were totally satisfied with that kind of a win. Yeah they really dominated the game fully, no problem there. But only 1 goal must have made them uncomfortable during the game.  

I always say, 3 points is what matters at the end. But you shouldn't overlook where you have made mistakes at the same time. Chelsea can do better than this for sure.

Palmer couldn't make any score contribution (G/A) for 7 games in the Premier League. When he isn't in form, the team is also affected quite negatively.

 Manchester United were very impressive yesterday. Infact it’s been a long time since we witnessed Manchester United play so well in the Premier League. Yesterday’s game was a long fight  and luckily for Arsenal they were able to share points thanks to David Raya’s heroic save that secured a point for the team at stoppage time.

Yes Manchester united did very well yesterday but they need to improve on their pattern of play imagine the free kick Bruno Fernandes scored was there first shot on target which is very poor and I believe that if it was arsenal that scored them first, Manchester united would have lose the match because the pressure was much so the only luck they had yesterday was to score arsenal first and I think Amorim should be benching some player such as zirkzee, Hujlud so that they will learn and do better anytime they entered the pitch.

I wouldn't say it for the first half but yeah when it comes to the second.    They really gave hope to their fans by improving their game later but wasted a lot of goal opportunities.

Did you watch those saves by Raya? Man, he was at another level yesterday. Maybe one of the best performances I have seen of him recently. Especially the last save was something else...

Still 14th position for the Red Devils. Arsenal already dropped down from the title race. I would still expect more from them in this game though.

As per Opta's data, Liverpool's upcoming fixtures won't be as hard as people think, though it's not as easy as Arsenal. However, their chance get three points from so many games are big. They have Everton, Fulham, Leicester, and Westham as their upcoming fixtures. As long as they able to win all of those fixtures, they can lock their title earlier.

I think EPL hand them title to them earlier.

City players are experiencing a psychological problem that players playing in big teams experience.
They have no championship goal. They were eliminated from the Champions League. They do not have any goals this year. Nottingham players have a goal of participating in the Champions League next year.
Nottingham stopped the bad trend with the victory they got today.

I think Liverpool fans can already prepare for the title celebrations. With the current points gap and the level of difficulty of the opponents they will face in the remaining games I don't think there is any doubt that they will be the champions this season. Liverpool fans will be busy preparing for the celebrations now. They only need about 4 or 5 more wins to seal the title. And it will be even less if Arsenal do badly in the next few games. Congratulations to Arne Slot for becoming an EPL champion in his first year. That is an incredible achievement.
