Finally Newcastle won first domestic trophy in 70 years after beating Liverpool 2-1. Newcastle is at number six on points table while Liverpool is top team of EPL. It's surprise to see that Liverpool who is doing so good in EPL is unable to win any other contest. In EPL, Liverpool will win the title this season as they have lost only one game this season and it's very unlikely that they will lose any game in rest of there matches. Liverpool need to improve there weaknesses, if they are winning in EPL then they need to grab other titles also. 

That win is something no one saw coming. I just couldn’t believe what I was watching but it was right there, unfolding right before my eyes. Liverpool thought it was going to be some game where they just suck up the pressure in the first half and come running over Newcastle United in the second half but no, Newcastle United ended the game right from the first half.
The manager’s tactical substitution also played a vital role to neutralizing the pressure that Liverpool was coming with in the second half. They merely got away with that last goal else, Newcastle United would have kept a clean sheet in this too.

Newcastle is performing good in the league as well. They had came with a plan and they executed well cornering Salah and making it difficult for Liverpool to breach the defense while their attacks too yielded expected results. Dan Burn and Alexander Isak took the initial lead for Newcastle and even though Liverpool had greater possession and overall good field presence, they needed to wait till the injury time to get a compensatory goal.
This also proves there's not much difference between the teams in the league, even though Liverpool is having a great points lead.

Pep is a great manager. If Pep leaves City will be relegated.
But It's crazy to think in the worst season with Pep City will finish in the top 4
Pep rebuilt the City squad before, so he can and will do it again. Never lose hope.
I think the team has improved, the attack is good, and Marmoush is also good, but Doku's finishing is still lacking, so there is no need to sign another striker.
We will see a new Manchester City next season. Pep is changing to a more direct style of play, so I suspect City will sign more physical and fast players in the summer. IMO

I doubt that Manchester City will be relegated if Pep leaves because aside from Pep Guardiola there are still many managers who are good as well. Coaching a club like city who have the influence and finances to fund transfers it will be a lot easier for any experienced manager to thrive in the club when you have the back up of the club to fund transfers and get you any player of your choice it will be difficult to fail.

Newcastle are on fire and it would be the first time in a long that they've made it to the championship, premier league took a different turn this season, I can't believe that Liverpool's performance would turn out to be like this because they had quite a good start but later on they started getting cold. Losing two games in a row is so unlike them and this is very strange. The worst outcome I was expecting in their match against Newcastle was a draw but they ended up losing in everything, ball possession, shots on target and also goal difference.

Do you call Arne Slot successful for this year? I think winning a Premier League trophy is a good start at least. He is about to end Liverpool's thirst for this title - the last one achieved was in the 2019-20 season.

I consider Liverpool champions already because with 12 points gap and only nine games to play I don’t see a possibility of Liverpool slipping away not like Arsenal are going to win all their remaining matches even so for me the title race has ended already just give Liverpool the trophy. Can I call Arne Slot successful? Yes why not. He got to the league cup finals, got to Champions League knockout and if he achieved the league title ofcourse he has a successful season.

For now, we don't know how much Amorim is capable with big teams. He achieved successes with Sporting earlier but it isn't enough to prove it. There is a huge gap between the Liga Portugal and Premier League.

Erik ten Hag was also successful with Ajax but when he started to manage a bigger team he failed so hard.    I just hope we don't see the same with Amorim... If he doesn't get sacked soon then his summer transfers and new system will show us how capable he is for real. If he fails too, it will be another overspending for the Red Devils. Their finances must already be shaken because of Erik ten Hag. Unless there is success, it would take them longer to fix it. But I assume they would start with selling useless players first.

You are free to call Liverpool champions but it has not been official or certain yet because they are still 9 matches to play and anything can be possible. I doubt if there's any team that can try to challenge Liverpool again in the premier league because it almost over, the moment Arsenal loses 2-3 or draw and Liverpool wins then it will be official and Liverpool will be handed over the premier league trophy but for the main time it is not yet over untill it is over. And yes it has been a great season for Liverpool even though they fucked up in the EFL cup.

It's obvious Amorim will get rid all of players who have no use for the club. A few names are already on his list, but struggle to find the buyers due to the bad performance.

I guess after he successfully sold some of useless players, and it's time to sign new players. I saw a few are also on his short list, but no concrete talk about it.

Some names strongly linked to the Manchester United such as Osimhen, Gyokeres, De jong, etc. The problem is that they're financially bad. They have to sell a lot of players before able to buy new players.

I also remember they're almost running out of cash. it sounds impossible to think they will buy a lot without sell a lot too.

Amorin is not as bad as we assume thou despite that the recent performance of Manchester United is discouraging. Perhaps the transfer window will give Amorin the access to right players he needs to make the team work appropriately as the recent players at his disposal are not performing to expectations. I would even suggest he should check more into their academy to fetch out more talented players to showcase themselves. I believe he can still find two or even more forwards from their academy that are gifted and zealous to slot in occasionally in order to build their confidence and make the team more stronger.

If I were him, that's the exact thing I'll do, what's the need of keeping players that are not useful, players finding it difficult to adapt to his system and hoping they'll improve, those same set of players would get him sacked cause they'll become liabilities and won't add anything to improve the squad when he run out of options, if you noticed, when Pep got into Manchester City, he overhauled the squad and added players he could work with to the ones he felt where good.

 That's what every manager who wants to succed with a team should do, Amorim is a good coach and he needs to follow same steps during the summer window if he wants to succeed with Manchester United next season, he needs to be aggressive with offloading unwanted players without even giving a second thought about what some fans who love the player would think, it's for the betterment of the club and not for some personal interest from some fans.

On the contrary I see that Newcastle big hope in the final is indeed that they are more serious in preparing everything. Liverpool is indeed the favorite to be the champion but mentally playing on the field we actually see Newcastle has a bigger chance, even in the first half they have shown a deadly game. This is worth celebrating because Newcastle has been eager to win the trophy since the beginning, while Liverpool players have not fully recovered after being kicked out of the Champions League. Like it or not Liverpool failure against PSG has a big influence and motivates other teams to give the same disaster.

When a club is not performing well, the coach usually takes the blame. Ruben Amorim was signed to overturn the downward trend of the club because, based on his track record in Sporting Lisbon, where he performed extraordinarily well. But he has failed to replicate his success at Manchester United. Erik Ten Hag would have been sacked before the beginning of this season, but the club management failed to take action because he won a trophy.

The club management is patient with the new manager, but I don't think they would tolerate such a bad performance next season. From next season he would have to put his best to avoid sack. Amorim certainly wants his team to be filled with great players, but this hope will be realized if the club management provides large funds to give freedom to bring in new players. Amorim is still trusted as the coach of Man United, but if he is unable to improve the team's performance in the second season, the chances of him staying for the next season are very small.
Now he must work hard to make Man United perform consistently in the Europa League and win the trophy so they can appear in the UCL next season.

In amorim and Manchester united case, I really don't know what to say because this team has preformed poorly than any of the other coaches under them and it's just so disappointing because Manchester united have gotten a series of coaches and for reason it just hasn't clicked for them but the management is very lenient with coaches so I don't expect anything to happen to his job for now so let's hope he wins the Europa league and maybe get one or two player that might turn things around.

No doubt about their Premier League title due to their superior quality and performance but still their last few matches give them big setback to them as they faced exit from Champions League and lost in EFL Cup is surely the biggest then Champions League. Here Newcastle United have some advantage which give them good favor, and they were able to outclass Liverpool workload is surely hurting badly few clubs as they fail to keep their consistency and quality even now many clubs are also having complaints about this it's time to think about this before its creation more problems.

Arne Slot doing good job but still it's going to take time for having better adjustment while at the end of this season Liverpool is going to face few exit as their top players are not considering extension which is surely problem for them.

Although Manchester City is in a good position in the points table of the English Premier League, Manchester United or Tottenham are not in a good position at the moment. If we look at the points of Manchester United and Tottenham, we can see that these two teams are 13th and 14th in the points table, from where it is really difficult for them to get back into the top four teams of this league. On the other hand, Manchester City already has the fifth position in the points table, but if they perform a little better in the upcoming matches, they can go one step above the points table. If Manchester City move up a point in the table, they will be guaranteed a place in the Champions League next season. Based on what I know about Manchester City, I would say that Manchester City will definitely play in the Champions League next season.

Sincerely, I won't overrule the chances of Manchester City qualifying for the top neither will I also overrule the chances of other teams close of qualification. For Manchester City to qualify then either Chelsea or Nottingham Forest must drop for them to qualify and if Chelsea is to qualify either Manchester City or Nottingham Forest must drop. Now the thing is if one looks at the table critically and goes further down, you will find out that the point difference between teams from 3rd to 7th isn't much that's why I said I can't overrule the chances of any team to qualify because mathematically it's still very much possible.

I don't know if it's a season fatigue or overconfidence resulting from their unchallenged lead in the table but something is clearly wrong with Liverpool.
A loss can happen to any club, but they got completely dominated by Newcastle in the EFL cup final. It could've easily be 4-1 for Newcastle.
Their performance in the round of 16 of the Champions League against PSG was also far from perfect, especially in the 1st leg when they only made 2 shots on goal and their ball possession was only 29%.
Or could it be that they cannot mentally handle games where there's everything at stake and only perform well in the league (be it the Premier League or the UCL league stage)?

It's all about fatigue because they were involved in all competitions with things are also not favorable for them in last few weeks due to have too many games which hurt them, and they were not able to handle this final as they needed.

Newcastle United doing good job and have enough time for keeping their players fresh which helps them for keeping things on track for their first title in decades now their confidence level is at the top while things will be also favorable for them to have good spot in Premier League because with this performance and confidence they can achieve top 5 ranks which will give them another chance into Champions League. Now this break is surely going to help Liverpool as they need time to think about their performance and strategy which give them better view about win and keeping title hopes alive for few more weeks which are important.

Give Amorin plenty of opportunities I think he can fix the squad, but if judged now it might be too early because the coach also needs a long adaptation.
Including I once said Amorin was bad because he did not bring his team in the premier league much better but at least there is hope in the European league tournament where he can continue to fight.
Maybe next season it can be fixed from the whole.
