PL's clubs journey in UCL is officially coming to its end after Arsenal as PL's last candidate kicked out by PSG. Appreciate how they tried so hard, but no match for PSG. They're still continuing their journey as a netflix club
The out of Arsenal show PL club quality is getting degrade. NT for all of PL clubs who have been playing at UCL, but out from the competition. We will able to send like 6 candidates next season. Hopefully, UCL will be ours. 

In my opinion, the English clubs that participated in the Champions League and made it to the quarter and semi finals did incredibly well and represented the league well this season. They all deserve accolades for their bravery and hard work especially Arsenal that made it to semis. Hopefully the next season will be better and EPL clubs will return triumphant.

Arsenal success in reaching the semifinals gives the EPL an advantage because next season they will send 5 representatives to the UCL. The addition of one slot is based on changes to the competition format in the early stages and the addition of the number of participants, so UEFA sets the "European Performance Spot (EPS)" criteria to determine two additional tickets to the main round of the UCL, two additional tickets are given to the League with the highest performance index or coefficient in European competitions.

After Man United and Tottenham qualified for the UEL final, next season there will be 6 EPL representatives who qualify for the UCL (5 slots through the League standings and 1 slot through the UEL champions route).

Leicester City is in relegation zone and they played a draw against number 6th team of EPL today. I wrote yesterday that Forest should not have any problem in winning game against Leicester City but they played a draw and gave away 2 key points. It's now very difficult for Forest to qualify for next UCL because of there bad performance towards end of the season. Chelsea is working hard to finish in top 5, in their last 5 games they have won 3 along with one draw. Chelsea deserve spot in top 5 because of the hard work they have done including win against Liverpool.

It seems Nottingham Forest are experiencing something behind the scenes that no one knows about because the way their performance just went from good to bad all of a sudden is surprising. I didn't expect them to be this bad at the end of the season after having such a wonderful start and sitting at 3rd place with the champions league spot almost assured they just suddenly became poor and ever since the have been struggling and now they sit at 7th position I think that is very bad. At this rate I don't even think they are capable of winning their remaining two games, Chelsea will be a difficult opponent for them but no one knows what will happen.

Chelsea was at least fight for a draw in this match and not have allowed Newcastle to win them in this manner. They’ve now lost and fall to the fifth place on the table which is still very shaky for them to book a spot in the champions league next season as both teams playing in the Europa League final will one of them get an automatically ticket to the champions league next season.

It would've been easy to fight if Jackson didn't get himself sent off by committing a silly foul, I think he cost them this lose. They could have fought for a point if they are complete but it's not easy  to play with a man down so I didn't expect much after the red card. I just hope they win against Manchester United so they can still hope to play in the champions league next season.

Disappointed with the way they played the game against Southampton. They dominated possession, created bunch of shoots, but still missed points. It seems they will finish at 4th or 5th with that performance. Damn how Haaland was non existent in that game. This is not City who played last games.

I also give credit to the Southampton. They already relegated, but still fight hard for their pride. City seems to be kicked out from the top 3 very soon.

Southampton played very well. They played defensively and tried to draw the match. We knew Southampton would play in that way. Southampton's goal against City was to keep a clean sheet and draw. And that's what Southampton did. On the other hand, City dominated the entire match. They also attacked a lot. City players managed to take a total of 26 shots. Even then, they couldn't score a single goal. This was a failure of City's attacking players.

Haaland is used to playing well. De Bruyne played a little better but couldn't score any goals. I think selling Alvarez in this season's season was one of the wrong decisions by Guardiola. If Alvarez was in the squad, City's overall performance would have been stronger. Alvarez was a worthy replacement for Haaland.

Southampton are always good with playing defensively but when it comes to scoring goals that's a problem for them. Their defense was solid and it gave Manchester city a tough time...we all expected them to lose because city was aiming for the second position but they couldn't break through Southamptons defense..I think Southampton was able to win the game because Manchester city are not the team they used to be.

Nottingham forest had a huge challenge when Taiwo got injured almost few minutes in play, the team was no longer complete, even the owner Marinakis was so fustrated that he had to walk right into the pitch after the game to question Nuno regarding the 2:2 draw, which took them far back from hitting the first five position. They tried this season, I must say, but EPL only gets competitive and only the competitent teams advance in position. Their game with Chelsea is a type the blues would have to do extraordinarily fine to maintain their position, hopefully NFFC wins against Westham, then the match will be tough.

Disappointing result for city as they failed to get all three points against bottom placed Southampton city attack was poor in front of goal because I expected that city should have a good show against Southampton because they are the wiping boys of the league but despite this draw city is still occupying the third position on the league pending Newcastle game because Newcastle can over take city on the third position with a win this weekend with this draw that city has

Yes, I am sure Manchester City would have expected more and better result from the game but luck was also not on their side and they failed to score even a goal to finish the game in a draw. Now Newcastle’s win over Chelsea will give them an advantage in the race since City failed to win, the race for the top 5 goes on and becomes more competitive.

The Premier League is already over for Manchester United. There are only 2 draws in the last 7 games. I can't remember Manchester United having such a bad season before.

If they don't win the UEFA Europa League, this year will be a big failure. If they win the UEFA Europa League, they need to build a good team that will compete in the Champions League next year.

I don't think they will be successful next year with these players.

They need to get a striker, a defender and most importantly a very good goalkeeper. Onana can't be Manchester's goalkeeper.
Yesterday, Westham defeated Manu 0-2 away.

They need to do away with some certain players and Harry Maguire should be on that list too hate it or leave it. They fail to win the Europa League Competition and players like Bruno Fernandez, Casemiro pushing for a bigger picture with the club will be the first to accept a big money move of it eventually comes. I'm done defending the club and also it dump owners after profits. That was just another terrible display yesterday.

Yes, I am sure Manchester City would have expected more and better result from the game but luck was also not on their side and they failed to score even a goal to finish the game in a draw. After securing a 3-1 win against Liverpool, I didn't think Chelsea would lose against Newcastle. I thought Chelsea would win. But Chelsea's attack couldn't make any difference against Newcastle. Chelsea lost 2-0.

In Newcastle's home match, we saw the dominance of Newcastle's players. The match was very important for both Chelsea and Newcastle. It has become difficult for Chelsea to hold on to fifth place in the table now. Still, Chelsea are lucky because Nottingham Forest couldn't win their last match. If Nottingham Forest had won, Chelsea would have been in sixth place in the table now.

On the other hand, Manchester City failed to win against the weakest team in the Premier League. Manchester City couldn't score a goal against Southampton. This is their big failure. City are not able to play well against a weak defense now.

I mean if you look in the position of Manchester United and Totenham you can see they are just above the relegation spots with one of his worst performance ever made by both in the history of Premier League, but what i want to point out? Well they are both in the final of the second largest european competition, is insane to see teams from below the 15 position playing a final, just crazy.

Both teams have done incredibly well in the Europa league despite their poor form and performances in the league this season it is surprising to know that Manchester United have lost zero games in all European competitions. Honestly it’s so weird that both teams will be playing in the Europa league finals with 15th and 16th position respectively.

When Nottingham Forest entered the top four, many observers predicted that Nottingham could appear in the Champion League the following season and praise for Nuno also came because he was considered the figure who made Nottingham Forest get very good results. Slowly, they continue to decline.

I think, matchweek 35 when Chelsea won over Liverpool, it indirectly affected Nottingham. Unexpectedly, Nottingham also could not win against Leicester. At least Nottingham's draw will tighten the position to qualify for the Champion League again.
West Ham United is the team that Nottingham will face. While Chelsea will face Manchester United. If Nottingham and Chelsea win with their opponents, then the determination will be determined in the last match when they both meet. It also depends on Aston Villa.

Amorim always reacts in a strange way after losing in the EPL, which I'd interpret as a way of not completely blaming his players, but boost their charisma to face the Europa league in a much serious manner. Though winning the final is not the bigger picture for him, as he said, but fixing the team and getting in the right players to bring back the red devils glory days. Losing to Westham was so embarrassing.

Going by this reality, do you think it's OK or safe to say or assume that both club (talking of Manchester united and Tottenham) have sacrificed their potential strength for the Premier league for the good performance they've both had in the Europa league?

Asking this because I understand and also know it's very possible for some clubs to find it hard to cope with several battles or competitions at the same time, so instead of potentially losing on both sides, they sacrificed their time and strength from one competition to perform better on the other, like it's commonly said in my place that when a man is chasing two rats at the same time, he will end up losing both, is this true for Manchester united and Tottenham?

They tried and I admit it, although I expected more from their encounter with PSG, but they couldn't scale past the semi finals. Arsenal and near misses are 5 and 6. They always start very well, but towards the end, they miss out. Arterta has a lot of work to do in their fitness. They should not be having fatigues towards the end of seasons, else even next season, they would still be trophyless.

Chelsea on the other hand managed to narrow their chances of qualifying for champions League again. I'm beginning to be doubtful on the possibility of them beating real betis in the finals ahead, their performance against Newcastle lowered my confidence in them.

Arsenal are very much in trouble now especially that they failed to get a result over EPL champions, though they rescued a point from 2goals down which is a consolation and should count  for something Otherwise Manchester City is equally not a serious team, couldn't get a result over relegated Southampton but want to win teams playing better  football 

At this point am convinced that Arsenal will finish anywhere around 3rd, 4th or 5th place

That is why they can get more places for the Champions League next season. Which initially they only got 4 places in the Champions League, now thanks to their hard work in the Champions League, for next season they will get 5 places in the Champions League next season, and one additional slot for one of the teams that wins the UEL trophy this season, and that is between Manchester United or Tottenham Hostspur, so for a total there will be 6 teams representing the EPL in the Champions League, and this is a new record in the long history of the Champions League.

And with the many EPL clubs participating in the Champions League next season, of course the chance for the trophy to fall to one of the English clubs is also quite large.

How do you mean Southampton was able to win the game? Did you actually see the full time result anyways let me believe the win you are talking about is the draw the had and that is not even a win. I know Southampton use to give Manchester city tough time but that result on Saturday, I was not expecting that from Manchester city because there is a serious competition in the top 3 and 4 because of champions league though they are still at the fourth position and if they should lose or draw there remaining legs and Chelsea wins, they are gone and winning Southampton would have given them automatic ticket or a big advantage to champions league.

Seriously I wasn’t carried away by the Liverpool game that Chelsea won because I knew Liverpool wouldn’t be at their best in that game, if you will recall the line up for the game speaks for itself, Arne slot fiddle in a much weaker team in my opinion and it could have been so that they will have the require games to actually get a winners medal and that’s what he practically did. In my opinion it was a good decision and Chelsea took opportunity of that and got a vital point, but I was predicting them not to win against Newcastle most especially since Newcastle had drew their game before then. Right not Newcastle on their day can simply beat any team in the league.

Nottingham Forest on the other hand had the biggest advantage which was to get back into the top five and hopefully secure champions league football but yet they dropped points and now I don’t see them getting back into there because even if  Chelsea drops points against Manchester United I don’t see Aston Villa dropping points at their end when they know that they can get a champions league qualification for a second season running

I dont fully understand Amorim statement, i mean i know he talks about the players to be changed in the next transfermarket but i also feel something like if im not capable of change this situation im also gonna be out, im the only one who read in that way or im being so much paranoid?.

I feel like he make a good improvement in Europa League but he do nothing for Premier League matches, and is the same team super crazy. All is in the player heads, lack of motivation or i dont know how to call it.

I don't think English clubs are doing very well in the Champions League. At the beginning of this season's Champions League, we considered Liverpool to be the favourites to win the Champions League. They played brilliantly in the first round and won consistently. But Liverpool were eliminated in the quarter-finals.
Arsenal managed to qualify for the semi-finals. However, we saw Arsenal play badly in both matches against PSG in the semi-finals. The Premier League clubs are very rich and the squads are strong. They all have the potential to qualify for the Champions League final. But I don't expect the English clubs to perform as well as I would like.
