As a neutral I was hoping to see what Ange Postecoglou would be able to achieve with Tottenham next season but obviously the fans and club owners both all agree that they need a change in management despite winning the Europa League. Tottenham bosses aren’t very patient or rather they don’t want to repeat what Manchester United did with Erik Ten Hag.

This was a ridiculous call IMO. Just how can you decide to sack him anyway after winning a EL trophy for you? This club has been trophyless for who knows how many years!

Sometimes I really don't understand their chairman Levy.    You finally have a coach who wins something for you but you say "Nah, I'll look for other options anyway.".

This is why Tottenham will never be consistent.

Well, you cannot discard that Tottenham finished the season just above the relegation zone, and I believe their ambition was to finish at least in the top 6.
In his first year (2023/24), Ange Postecoglou led the team to the 5th place, so the 17th place in 2024/25 season was a MASSIVE decline. This is not a good sign and indicates that whatever Postecoglou's strategy was, it was not working.
Also, paradoxically, winning the Europa League and qualifying for the Champions League could work against Postecoglou, as there's more pressure for the club to not waste their chance in the UCL and to find someone capable of improving things in a short time.

I'm not surprised by the club's decision to sack him. This is probably the most competitive league in the world, and there's no room for sentiment. If a manager can't deliver, he will get replaced.

Apparently Frank and Tottenham's Sports Director, Johan Lange, know each other from their time at Danish Lyngby and media report that Frank confirmed he will be happy to accept the offer, so it sounds like it's a done deal and the official announcement is just a matter of time.

He did very bad just like Ruben Amorim. This is the first time in many years Tottenham is ending the season this bad and not able to win their intense league matches. If they enter next season with this poor playing style, they will neither go far in the champions league as well as the English premiership. It is good the management of Tottenham have taken this decision so that they can rebuild the team and make them more competitive because next season will be very hot.

No doubt Tottenham became really worst of n performance towards the end of the season and that rediculed all the efforts of the club in the early stage of the premier leagues, so for sure the demand for a change of coach was somewhat necessary, but we were just speaking from the angle of possibility of improving with an experience coach instead bringing in an entire new hand to coach the club.

This is quite logical because spurs are almost relegated from the English Premier League, but the question is who is the coach who managed to bring tottenham hotspur back to the UEFA Europa League trophy after the last time spur won the trophy in the 1983/84 season, and which coach managed to give spur a trophy after 15 more seasons they played without winning a trophy. So I think Postecoglou's sacking is quite unfortunate. Even though I really look forward to how the strategy he will design when spurs play in the champions league next season.

And I think why spurs' performance is quite bad in the premier league this season, and in contrast to what they showed in the UEL competition, is because the player material owned by spurs is still lacking, so Postecoglou has to choose one to prioritize. And this is part of Postecoglou's strategy and plan to how to maximize the potential that the Spurs have.

The Truth of the matter is that, Manchester United and Tottenham and Manchester City have suffered alot in this season and few seasons before now, but for some lie Manchester City they hard their own time , just that they declined in this season but for clubs like Manchester United we can point to alot of decline and bad results, the management crisis and other political influence effected the club alot, but still this season was far better and a pointer to what is coming ahead.

I don't want to dramatize it but man, Ange just won the Europa League trophy! Why didn't you give him another chance?    I know he finished the Premier League horribly. But isn't this a good compensation for it?

I also think he deserves to get another season in Tottenham. Winning Europa League trophy is a big achievement, it won't be easy to achieve average coaches. Sure, Ange couldn't manage Tottenham well in EPL, they finished in a very bad position. However, he may change Tottenham performance in the next season, right? Well, everything depends on Tottenham management. They may not really care with the achievement in UEL, they only care with Tottenham position in EPL standings.

The players were going to be much more motivated for the new season. They even say there is some revolt among them due to this decision if it isn't just a rumour. I think it is really unfair.

Ange is long gone and Tottenham have since been looking for a replacement, what I noticed from their Pursuit though is the fact that they are actually looking at a premier league proving manager instead of going outside the country to get one. Their candidates have been either Marco Silva of Fulham or Thomas Frank of Brentford. I think they settled for the bees manager.

Thomas Frank has been excellent in my opinion since taking over the club, Brentford have been looking good season after season and they keep on improving, this season they missed out of the European qualification places just with some points. Looking at Thomas Frank he is highly rated in the league by even managers like Pep Guardiola due to his playing style.

But we shouldn’t get over the hills here I have seen mid table teams managers moving to the top clubs and not been able to replicate the same tactics and success there due to pressure.

Strasbourg's central defender Mamadou Sarr becomes Chelsea's new player after signing an 8-year deal. Chelsea are signing dozens of players but they can't make a success out of such a large squad. I wonder if this will change in the new season. Chelsea will pay 15 million Euro to Strasbourg for the 19-year-old defender. Sarr played for Strasbourg for one season after coming through the youth system of Lyon. He doesn't have a lot of experience. He also plays for France U19 team. Chelsea will probably send him on loan to another team this season. I don't think he will be in the squad planning for the new season. They keep investing in the future but that future never comes.

This is a question that I'm also curious about the answer of. Thomas Frank has literally no achievement in his career. His only "success" is to promote to the PL from Championship with Brentford.

He hasn't been able to push for a European tournament since then. Finished the league at the 9th or 10th position a couple of times. I don't see anything interesting about him as a result.

I think Frank could be an important candidate for Tottenham. I think he managed Brentford very well and achieved a good management. He has managed them for three years and now he may be ready to manage a team like Tottenham. Of course, we think that some things may change when the team changes. Time will tell us if he can have the same effect for Tottenham, but it is not hard to guess that many players will leave Tottenham this year. Who he wants and who will be transferred to the team could carry Tottenham to an important place in the Champions League and Premier League next year.

Chelsea are making a lot of transfers and have not yet made money from the transfers they have made before. Maybe this is a strategy and they will make a lot of money when they start selling players but there are risks to this situation and maybe they will not reach the transfer income they expect. I think teams with high financial strength should do different things and take risks. I wonder what will be done with transfers at Chelsea.

I don't know why Chelsea didn't learn from their experience. They often spend on expensive players, but not so effective against the competition. they are also targeting AC Milan goalkeepers but was rejected because bargaining at a low price. GoalKeepers is important thing, they should priority this besides others position. Chelsea have potential player on the squad, some of them are never even played yet. So I think Maresca must pay attention to this first before hunting the new player. He must prioritize the position who was left behind.

Yeah, he might not be a good coach according to you guys, at least not a good coach has something to his name with a team like Tottenham. He chose his priorities right that's focusing more on a particular competition instead of putting more bodies forward on all competitions and not having any of it, instead he focused on only one after knowing that he will secure a place still in the top flight. He might not be a good coach but his left a legacy in the club where most coaches that were perceived to be good or better than him couldn't.
