I believe Arsenal’s trophy drought is largely because they lack a proper centre forward. The Eze chase? That is the real test of this new Arsenal. Do they have the courage to make a full commitment to a genius who can barely get two months without being injured? If they get him and keep him in shape, it says something. But when he is in the medical room half the season, it’s a huge stick for the critics. High risk, high reward. This window is a complete personality shift at Arsenal. At last, a bit of backbone.

And it also has to go through quite a tight competition to get Eze, because there are several top clubs who really want him. In the Premier League too, besides Arsenal, there are Liverpool, Nottingham Forest and Tottenham who are exploring to be able to get this midfielder from Crystal Palace. {even though the fee is quite high around £ 60 / 70 million. Honestly, I'm a bit surprised by this. This is really a consideration and a decision that must be very risky, with a high fee but is it really worth it.

I have earlier stated it that what Arsenal needed was a striker and nothing more. But if they are making other signings, they should also pay attention to their mentality which normally gets weak during the end of the season.

Arteta should work on the strength of the players and also know how and when to schedule them. Overs using all his best players during the beginning and middle of the season gets them worn out towards the end.
Arteta should concentrate on one trophy and win. Going trophyless for so long weakens the moral of the players.

Arsenal needs to work on mentality and strategy if they are looking for win here in Premier League without having few changes things are not going to be favorable for them while their striker problem is also indeed important because they need a player who can lead them from front.

Last season Liverpool took good advantage of Manchester City weakness and have won, but sadly Arsenal were not able to do anything and ended on second again now it's fourth season they are going for their best but still missing their most wanted striker hopefully Arteta will be settle things before it's gone out of their way again. Upcoming season now they are having good experience of playing into Champions League with their momentum is also good if they are able to win any trophy this could be huge boost for them.

Benjamin Sesko is reportedly very close to Arsenal and I think Arsenal are also very interested in bringing him in not only because of his good quality but he is still 22 years old so there is a much better prospect in the future and as we know Arsenal are quite happy to recruit young players.

Arsenal already have a very capable squad in all lines so it is natural that in this transfer market there are not many movements that they make only the attackers needed by Arsenal and I think Arsenal are also very careful in determining but I am sure to cover next season Arsenal will have a new striker and Benjamin Sesko is the most likely.

For weeks now Benjamin Sesko have been linked to Arsenal and talks said to have progressed well but the amount in principle for fees have been the hurdle Arsenal need to overcome. I don’t the amount is a problem for Arsenal, they are trying being careful and smart in their dealings to get the best deal possible.

I wonder why Arsenal have not gone all out for a striker. That is what they need most in the team. They have every other position covered, even signed a backup goalkeeper, but they're not going all out for a striker.
Sesko is not better than Gyokeres. He may be better on the ball, but when it comes to box presence and finishing, Gyokeres is clearly ahead of Sesko, and that is the kind of player Arsenal should be going for.

They also need a LW because going into another season with just Martinelli and Trossard is not wise. bothe of them are not good enough and not consistent enough. I wonder why Arteta is not focused on his attack, that is the position they lack the most.

Arsenal will end up signing only Sesko in attack and not sign a LW. Don't be surprised if they don't even sign a striker by the end of the season and then end up using Havertz as a striker next season. This is not the first transfer window Arsenal have been rumoured to want a striker or winger, but for the past 4 seasons, they've signed none. That's one reason I don't consider Arterta a top coach. People might disagree, but he lacks what his peers have, and that is the ability to identify where his team is lacking.

For the last few seasons we have seen the performance of Arsenal's attacking players is erratic. Arsenal does not have an experienced scorer in the team. Liverpool has salah. Manchester city has haaland,  who does Arsenal have? Arsenal does not have a single player in the top 10 of the Premier League's top scorers list.

The second problem with arsenal's squad is that whenever any player in their squad gets injured, their overall performance becomes unstable. Arsenal has not been able to solve this problem even in 3 years

If Arsenal is financially struggling. They would not sign a midfielder worth £55m.

It seems they're only having terrible manager combined with incompetent sporting director. They could add £20m to get Osimhen/Gyokeres/Sesko, but they refuse it and add Zubimendi.

What a weird team. I know there are still long time remaining for them to sign a striker, but kinda stupid when they didn't put it as their priority. Not even official bid came from them.

This is a very good move by Chelsea management and I see them being consistent enough to build a team for the long term.
Jamie Gittens is a very young player and he has very good quality, especially Chelsea's move to give him a long-term contract, which means they are quite confident with this player.

Looking at the steps taken by Chelsea in this transfer market, I am quite confident in building their team for next season and it is even very likely that next season Chelsea will be better than last season, which means there is a big possibility that they will be able to compete fiercely in the Premier League title race next season.

The sporting director of Chelsea is so stupid. They hand Dortmund 55 million just to sign a mediocre winger like Gitten. They could get Leao or Nico with such money, but wasted it in Gitten. I can't believe what i'm seeing now.

This sign is showing how they're so dumb, and have no clear plan on how to improve their squad. I don't think Gitten is better than Sancho, and i'd like to call it as a degrade.

Rodrygo is a talented player and will be an addition to Arsenal if thing goes as planned but in my own opinion,I think the price for signing Rodrygo is too expensive and Arsenal isn't a club that loves spending too much money on a single player. The $105 to $123 million meant for signing Rodrygo is outrageous, infact that same amount can be used to sign three young talented players into Arsenal. Mikel Arteta should adopt Arsene wenger strategy of buying players,he should focus on minimizing expenses by avoiding very expensive players like  Rogrygo and Victor osimhen. Mikel Arteta should keep searching for young players that will be less expensive for the club.

Arteta has received sufficient funding every offseason, but it always turns out to be not enough. By the way, I have often seen statistics of clubs leading in transfer market spending, and Arsenal is always among the top of that list. However, since Arsenal can’t win at least one trophy, I think the management won’t be as willing to spend big money every time Arteta asks for it. Arsenal doesn’t have any problems with the attack, but if there is money, Arteta definitely won’t refuse a good forward.

I totally agree with you. I remember that yesterday, while I was reading this news, I was actually wondering how it was even possible that they thought spending 55 millions for Gittens was a good idea. Chelsea have been buying a lot of players in these years, some were kind of known, other weren't, but I fell like no matter who the player was, they always overpaid. Other teams are spending similar money for players that are ready to play in the starting eleven. I just don't get it.

With the way you have just vetted your anger on this issue, one can easily point out that you're a Chelsea fan because you seem so angry at this news and seriously I can of understand when the Management of the club you support starts doing something like this and the fans gets furious about it. The money that's supposed to be used in investing on proven players, they use that money to buy an amateur that may or may not perform.
