The most important league match of the week was Chelsea vs Aston Villa and Aston Villa defeated Chelsea 2–1 away from home. They maintained the point difference with league leaders Arsenal.

Weeks like this always come by when teams are challenging to win the league, and don’t be surprised if we get too see another week like this.

Manchester city stated the week as they traveled to City Ground to play against Nottingham forest, it was a very difficult game for them but nothing beats picking all 3 points away from home. It was a game they had to dig deep before securing all 3 points.

Arsenal who are the league leaders then hosted Brighton and they also won, it was very much easier for them as they were playing at home. They scored 2 goals and conceded a late one, but all 3 points matters now and that was exactly what happened.

Then Chelsea hosted in foam Aston Villa, honestly it was a game of 2 halves, Chelsea dominated the first half so well and I couldn’t believe they didn’t get all 3 points In this game, it was an entertaining game as villa continues their unbeaten streak.

I predicted Aston Villa to beat both Chelsea and Arsenal and Aston Villa has done it agains Chelsea, many people did not believe that Aston Villa will beat Chelsea because that is the kind of match Chelsea like to play well and win the game, Chelsea play well in the first half of the game and also dominate the game but the second half everything changed, Chelsea underestimate Aston Villa and Aston Villa proved them that they are capable of beating any team this season.

The game change immediately Unai Emery made a substitute and bring in Watkin, Sancho and Onana, those players were part of Aston Villa best players this season, Chelsea should have score more than one goal in the first half but they missed a lot of chances and later conceded goals in the second half, it remains Arsenal that will face Aston Villa in their second meet this season and if Arsenal did not take care Aston Villa will surprise them like they did to Chelsea.

Aston Villa is in an incredible great form, five winning streaks in both premier league and all competitions, winning the gunners 2:1 on the 6th of December, the coming game would be tough for Arsenal, such matches could end up in a draw, but from its look Villa could be a qualified challenger for Arsenal's place in the table. So they won't play easily on the gunners - looking at the changes Arteta has to make with Timber who is likely to feature in the game as Calafiori warm up injury poses as a set back.

They've always had a bit of luck in their past few games they've played, now this is not the game where you need luck,  they need to come out there with the help of the fans and smash Aston Villa completely. Manchester City may have also won Sunderland during the first fixture in the first half of this season but then, this away game to Sunderland might be a good chance for Arsenal to extend their gap between themselves and City. But they have to win though.

It's okay to call it revenge for Aston Villa at Villa Park. At the Emirates, Arsenal will try their best to secure 3 points amid Aston Villa's good run of beating teams they have faced, the last of which was Chelsea.

The 3 points Arsenal will be hoping for at the Emirates are to maintain their position in the standings with the point difference you mentioned. Arsenal still trails Manchester City in terms of goal difference. If they fail to capitalize on their home game to secure a full three points, I fear that if they draw with Manchester City, Arsenal will have to relinquish their top spot in the standings to Manchester City.

We have a couple of interesting matches here, but I think the most exciting one is Arsenal Vs Aston Villa.
Will the Gunners get their revenge for a 2-1 loss earlier this month and will they break Villa's incredible 11-game winning run (all competitions)? The bookies seem to think so, with Arsenal being a big favourite.
In the previous game between these two, we had a pretty even game, but Villa managed to score a stoppage-time winner. But now it's Arsenal who have a home advantage, so things could go a bit differently.

Other EPL games are coming again very soon. We have two games to discuss, MU vs Wolves, Arsenal vs Villa. I'm putting these games in my bet slip caused by i think MU is obviously in favor to win over wolves. Considering they able to beat Newcastle even with the 2nd team, yet i think they're still capable enough to beat wolves, which far weaker than Newcastle.

In another side, Arsenal vs Aston Villa is the most exciting game to come. Villa beats Arsenal in the last game, and it's time to revenge. However, i've see cash and kamara may probably injury, but still no confirmation so far. i don't think missing those players will weak Villa as they beat Arsenal without them in the last game.
I'm hoping Villa to hold Arsenal draw caused by this is their harder match. Expecting them to retain their status quo with draw is better instead of losing.

This match is quite interesting because Arsenal have been defeated before and now the next match is being played again with Aston Villa. If we talk about Arsenal winning in this, it is difficult because even then Arsenal's performance was quite strong and good and they are still in the same position. Therefore, Aston Villa should keep a good effort in themselves so that they can defeat Arsenal again. This is because of the management, so they are ready to play again in the same month. Although we should not look at it because it is not good or bad for their strength and position. Therefore, we will be more interested to see Arsenal win because they are at a strong level and that is why I want Arsenal not to be careless in any way so that their strength remains the same and Aston Villa also gets a defeat, which will also avenge their defeat.

For Arsenal to be among the teams Aston Villa have beaten is some how a shame for them because they are the current league leaders which is why they are suppose to try as much as they can to avoid their name not to be on that list, but what else can we say to change it? It has happened and that's why Arteta should look for a better way to make Aston Villa pay for snatching that last minute goal. I think when a team start repeating the clubs they play against should be seen as the second leg, the return leg is by this time I think, but I don't know for now. Well, this is a one time thing and if is not now it can never be done a d that is for Arteta to end that winning streak, it also be that it will be a team no one expect that will put an end to this Aston Villa and if it happens that way I believe they will start struggling, that is what I think might happen knowing how crazy the epl is.

They have been given 1.34 odds for the win. Liverpool struggled against this Wolves even though they had only 2 points in the league. Due to the absent players because of AFCON I'm not sure about giving Amorim's team another shot.

I personally favour Chelsea in that match because they will be hosting aston Villa at stamford Bridge, that's what gave me confidence that Chelsea will not like to disappoint their fans but unfortunately Aston Villa prove me wrong. Aston Villa has become a very big threat for the top teams, currently there are sitting in third place in the table with a different of one point away from Manchester City.

Aston Villa next match will be at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal, i will still not correct my mistake when they play against Chelsea, i supported Chelsea because they host the game, right now I am still supporting Arsenal because they are hosting them.

Comparing Arsenal and Chelsea, arsenal play wonderfully and excellently, arsenal last match against Aston Villa was played at Villa Park, which I thought was the reason why Aston Villa secure Victory not until they faced Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and they won again.

Aston Villa have been playing really well this season and are giving everything as a team in every match. They truly deserve to be in 3rd place.
The main reason Chelsea were shown as favorites is because they are a big club, but being a big club doesn’t always bring victory, just like in this match.

Aston Villa are playing a very difficult match with Chelsea but they have been making big mistakes that will affect their next game against Arsenal at the Emirates.
Although I strongly believe they are amongst the best team in England right now. Going down against Chelsea and turning the game around is a difficult task to achieve and they have done just that.

I'm truly surprised at how strong and courageous Aston Villa have become. Chelsea's performance was a bit erratic. On the other hand, Aston villa was in great form. Even then, I did not  think that chelsea would lose their home match. In this match, I predicted that the match would be a draw. But Aston villa won 2-1 .

Aston Villa performed well in  this match as in the previous matches. I was very surprised by their performance. Their match strategy  was good. And each of their attacks was well-planned. There is no denying that chelsea's goalkeeper played well in this match. Otherwise, chelsea would have lost by a much bigger margin. The reason why Arsenal will find it challenging to win the match against them is because most of the players in the team are playing well and the team performance is great. The players in the defense, midfield and attack are able to contribute equally without being overly dependent on any one or two players. I think Aston Villa will win.
