The way of entering new year in the PL wasn't fun honestly. Last night was really boring I agree about that. Some people might say there were still many attacks, shots and saves which make a match more enjoyable.

But to tell the truth it doesn't sound fun to me unless I see some goals.    After these results Arteta must be quite happy. His team have increased the point gap again. 4 points with Manchester City and 6 with Aston Villa!

Well it was a bad day yesterday, especially for we gamblers, all the 4 premier league games that was played yesterday ended in a draw, which is very unlikely. Well as for me I lost all my best, I gambled on Manchester city to win and for Tottenham to play over 2.5 goals but it all ended in a bad bet. I really hope tomorrow when the premier league games are played we see a lot of goals.

It a 4 points gap between arsenal and Manchester city now and I will tell you that it still a long way to go. It been an exciting season so far and arsenal are looking favorite to win the league this but they would have to put up a big fight if they really want to bring the premier league to London this season.

Most of the results of yesterday's English Premier League games came as a huge surprise to gamblers especially the Sunderland Vs Manchester City game at the famous Stadium of Light. What a boring day... There have been 4 matches today and still the number of total goals is only 2 which were scored in a single match. Would you expect a match like Liverpool - Leeds to end 0-0 really? 

It's a really poor day for gamblers obviously. If Manchester City don't manage to break this tie it will help Arsenal with opening the gap more. It will be 4 points. Sunderland are really such a resistant team home especially.

There is no guarantee that good teams and good players will always win, at least that was seen in yesterday's matches. In the last four matches, the teams have drawn three matches and only two goals were scored in one match. Manchester City and Sunderland returned goalless. On the other hand, Leeds and Liverpool also did the same.

However, City played well. It goes without saying that Liverpool also played very well, but in the end they could not score.

Arsenal is at the top with 45 points from 19 matches so far. Manchester City is in second place in the match and Aston Villa is in third place with 39 points. Liverpool is in fourth place on the list.

Although everyone wanted to start the year anew, Chelsea did not start well. Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca did not have a good day. Because he had to leave Chelsea.

I saw them blow leads at home over and over all season. Twelve points were lost from winning positions in all competitions. Twenty! You know why that happens? Because when your captain is 25 and half your team is barely old enough to rent a car in America, they don't know how to see out a game when the pressure's on. That's not tactics, that's just... Youth. Inexperience. Brain development, honestly.

That’s true, it’s not normal to lose 12 points in winning position and that has really affected the team performance in general, I also have to say that Maresca is also a problem because he is not consistent; he will perform better today and then worse the next day in some matches he is not expected to drop points and all this is happening when he is rotating his players since he didn’t have a stable first eleven till he was sacked.

But Chelsea owners needs to respect him to allow him stay till the end of the season because he won two trophies tie the team within two seasons including Club word cup, he should be allowed to finish this season or wait till the end of today or next, sacking a manager in a new year is somehow.

Nevertheless, I wish him all the best as he pursues his career towards finding another team for himself, and I can’t wait see the coach Chelsea will sign because I don’t think anyone they can sign now can help the team win the league, they can only try to make top four.

I almost certainly predicted Liverpool to win against Leeds and Man City to win against Sunderland. But impressively, the two big teams in the league drew with the smaller teams and failed to put themselves ahead. This created a favourable situation for Arsenal because if they win against Bournemouth tomorrow, they will increase their points and the gap with second position Man City will increase even further. Arsenal are currently 4 points ahead, but if they win the next match, the gap will be 7. Continuing their winning streak, Man City failed to maintain their winning streak at Sunderland's home ground. The New Year or Christmas break may have had some impact on the performance of the players.

Most of the games ended in draw and Liverpool against leeds did not surprise me at all and that of Manchester city surprised me the most because I saw how Manchester city fans were busy running there mouth and they thought Aston Villa was going to defeat us and they have forgotten that we have an unbeaten record nobody have defeated arsenal home. And arsenal meeting against Bournemouth and arsenal is on fire and there is nothing that can go wrong at this point and the moment we win that game is going to make things more interesting because arsenal are doing all they could to win the league.

Arteta is busy working hard to make arsenal win the league and even with how everything is turning the man keeps making everything possible just to see that club win the Premier league and even the Champions league is in the radar so arsenal is committed about both leagues and I expect them to be able to win both of them because who is going to stop us nobody that am seeing.

Arsenal should use the opportunity of yesterday game to make people believe that they are the favourite to win the Premier League title this season, Manchester City failed to beat Sunderland yesterday and that is what Arsenal want from the match because it will give them more gap to be ahead of Manchester City, Manchester City tried everything to make sure that they win the game against Sunderland but they couldn’t find a way to win the game, Sunderland has never lost a game in their home that makes them a strong team whenever they play at home.

If Arsenal fail to win the league this season Arteta should be sack immediately, there is no any excuse for him this season because Arsenal is the most complete team this season, they have good defenders, good midfielders and good attackers, the title contenders have already dropped points against Sunderland, so Arsenal should win the league this season no matter what.

In the last match against Wolves, they were unable to get three points. You know wolves are in the 20th position of the table. So they were unable to get three points against a team that is literally at the bottom of the table. That is why I am not confident about them getting three points in the next match as well. To be honest, Manchester United is absolutely trash at this moment. So it is very hard to trust them with anything right now. And honestly I do not see anything improving unless the owner changes. Which of course is probably not going to happen anytime soon.

A really big disappointment the Liverpool - Leeds match was. How wasn't there even one goal by the final whistle? It wasn't even one of those matches with low number of goal attempts either.

xG isn't everything. We see this quite often but it at least gives us some idea about the productivity of that team. Liverpool had 2.08 goal expectation but nothing came out of it. The best they can do looks like to finish as 4th or 3rd maybe depending on Aston Villa.

after winning the arsenal vs. aston villa match, they secured a pretty good position in the standings with last night's results. it was particularly interesting that the manchester city match ended in a goalless draw, despite city being such heavy favorites. only two goals were scored in four matches yesterday, and while many people think this was a prearranged fix, we must remember that anything is possible. although most bettors were dissatisfied with yesterday's results, this too was a possibility within the realm of probability.

with the current betting odds, arsenal's chances of winning the premier league title this season have almost reached their peak. i wonder if they can pull it off.

That loss of points was unbelievable mate. Wolves can produce nice amount of goal chances even in big matches. I'm okay with that. But still they just can't show the expected performance anyway. Manchester United should have taken advantage of it.

Aston Villa won their game against gunners on Dec 6 and gunners made a strong comeback against Aston Villa by beating them 4-1. Man City had a draw against Sunderland and that has given Arsenal a 4 points lead against Man City. We are now at half way of the premier league and Arsenal are favourite to lift the trophy provided they retain their form in rest of the 19 games also. Villa and City had not a great Week 19 but they are still in contest and Arsenal need to keep this in mind.

How do you explain four draws all in one day

If this was some lower league it was going to be easy to claim these were fixed matches but for a top tier league like the EPL.. this is total BS.. Anyway big result of Sunday who looked like the more dangerous team whenever the counter attacked and City.. well these look like they were Hangovered such that they couldn't run or make any crosses.. I think this was the worst City game I have watched  

Yesterday was disappointing due to poor performance of top teams while punters also have big loses because too many were expecting good number of goals in few games especially Sunderland vs Manchester City and Liverpool vs Leeds United.

Brentford vs Tottenham was surely a balanced game, but other two games gave serious setback to teams and their fans as well now 20th round is also having few interesting games like Manchester City is hosting Chelsea and Liverpool visiting high-flying Fulham, things could be not easy for Manchester United which is having difficult visit of Leeds United while Everton will be host Brentford, these games can create good changes in league table.

yesterday was a big disappointment from the premier league games, three games ended as a goaless draw, what a new year surprise. This is the reason they say that football is full of surprises, who would have believed that Manchester city would not be able to win Sunderland,  i found it very difficult to believe. Aston Villa has tried their best by sustaining a winning momentum for a long period of time and and now they are sliding down as they were defeated by 4:1 by Arsenal last weekend. I am not expecting Villa to be win this game because it's natural that a team which has sustained this type of performance will come down. Villa is stressed out and fatigue has set in it will take a while before Villa will come back to winning ways.


Forest too has not been performing badly so I expect this game to be a tight one knowing that, these two teams are top teams which needs results badly at this point of the season. This game can go either way because both teams are dangerous.
