Reserve funds is meant to be used for future cost and other unexpected things especially if you don't want to messed up everything especially with your investment started. That's why we should come well prepared so that we will not fall down easily when there's sudden shift of the market knowing how volatile the market is.

Also people should not afraid to use it if this this will give them more good result. But make sure they are not taking everything excessively so that they won't messed up and make sure they follow their plans and so that there's no possible problem will occur to them. For any future issues coming I guess our emergency funds will cover that condition, that's why we need to have proper budgeting and came prepared so that we can make our chance to succeed higher for our Long term investment plan.

We just need to have good discipline and good cashflow to make everything works according to what we like to happen.
Reserve funds is not the same thing as emergency funds and both served different purposes.an investors that has $90 as his dissertation can decide to be using $10 for his weekly or monthly DCA and the remaining $80 in his reserve funds.so when ever a dip occurs he can use money from his reserve funds to buy the dip.He can decide to use 80% , 20% or 5% of his reserve funds to buy the dips depending on the level of the dip and the choice of the investor as to the percentage of his reserve funds he is to use to buy the dips.
Any new investor or low coiner that has a $90 discretionary income, and decided to invest only $10 every week on bitcoin as the amount that he is using to DCA, and keeps $80 in his reserve funds for the dip is not a serious investor and is not ready to build his bitcoin investment in ac fast pace. It's bad to keep too much fiat currency with you all in the name of waiting for the dip that you don't know when it will come.

You will also miss out the good chance of investing aggressively with DCA a neb increase your portfolio faster. The funny thing is that the dip may come or not and before you know it other investors portfolio have grown to a certain height and yours is still very small because the dip does not come all the time, which is why regular DCA is good to keep your accumulation journey ongoing with persistent, consistent and aggressively.

If I was in your shoes, and want to set up my reserve funds, I will use $50 for every week DCA, and keep $25 to build my reserve funds to a certain height, and after that, I will use all the $80 to invest aggressively based on my financial scenario playing out at that moment. It's wrong is you can invest aggressively and you invest in a whimpy way. Your focus when investing on a long term should be how you can keep buying bitcoin continuously, persistently and aggressively or frontload overtime by looking for other means of income to increase your discretionary income and not to be keeping our discretionary income to accumulate bitcoin in a slow pace.
I agree with you here. $90 and $10 man such investor will be seen to be an unserious investor or a greedy one. Only an investor who is not ready to invest properly into Bitcoin will invest only $10 out of the $90 discretionary income. Unless he has other places he is investing into it. Maybe he is diversifying his portfolio so he only choose to invest 9% of his discretionary income in Bitcoin but that is not an ideal way to invest.

For newbies that just started its either they should focus on Bitcoin on the early stage rather than diversifying into several asset with the same frequency they are using to DCA in Bitcoin. After they must have had a good amount of Bitcoin in their portfolio they can choose to diversify. Diversification should come only when they are properly settled with the first Bitcoin investment goal if not they will only end up having little amount of Bitcoin in their portfolio. Meanwhile on the contrary they are jeopardizing their investment gradually thinking they are investing the right way.
I disagree with you, if someone is earning $90 a week or a month and then the person decide to use $10 to be accumulating it is not wrong reason because you don't know what the person is taking care of and before he decided to use $10 it is possible that it is the only money he or she can spare or let go as a matter of fact the $10 is even more than 10% of $90 so it is not wrong rather Bitcoin investment most times is based on capacity how much you can handle your investment so that you don't run into problem.

However, diversifying with the same amount they are using to DCA is not actually wrong, just like i said it depends on individual capacity, anyone who feels he or she can handle or take care of two or more investment then they should go ahead but they should ensure to keep or follow the principles of those investment because every investment has there principles through which one can follow to become successful.

I love this write mate and I concur to everything you've said here, may be some persons think that emergency fund is the same as reserved fund, as the names implies so is there functions, emergency fund is kept by investor in case if there's any emergency need such like that of health stuff or things that can lead an investor to think of tampreing his or her Bitcoin investment to solve unexpected problems which can also be called emergency ocurence ehile reserve funds is for the purpose of the said investment not necessarily immediately but when he chooses to do so as far as such investor is applying DCA method of acumulating Bitcoin.

This reserved funds help investors a lot,  reserve fund can enable an investor not to think of ways to raise some funds to massively buy when there's price drop but it is only helpful to an investor that's already doing the needful to buy more fractions of Bitcoin on a cheaper rate during Bitcoin price drop which you have said already, so that why it is very important to have reserve but whichever way what matters should matter most to an investor is to keep acumulating as much as he can and making sure you try to improve your source of income to enable you increase your DCA level.

Diversification should come only when they are properly settled with the first Bitcoin investment goal if not they will only end up having little amount of Bitcoin in their portfolio. Meanwhile on the contrary they are jeopardizing their investment gradually thinking they are investing the right way.
If the person only invests in bitcoin, it would be unwise to only put 10 of his total 90 dollars of discretionary income. Because although this is certainly the right of each investor, it feels very half-hearted. Because by having a discretionary income of 90 dollars, if all of it is bought into bitcoin, of course in a period of 10 years or more it could be very large. But if for example only investing 10 dollars every week, it is certain that in the next 10 years the person's bitcoin portfolio will definitely not be as big as if investing 90 dollars. So if for example you are not yet able to invest all your discretionary money in bitcoin, I think investing 85% of your total discretionary income could be a good option. Because 85% can certainly be said to be quite large, and besides that, there is still 15% of your discretionary income left. But I personally prefer to invest more than 95% of my discretionary income in bitcoin. And I use the remaining 5% as an emergency fund or for other things.

When it comes to bitcoin investment it is advised we use only our Discretionary income to accumulate so it is not about the amount of money you are earning weekly or monthly it is about how much discretionary income that is lift for you, so if you are earning $100 or $300 weekly or monthly and the only money lift as your discretionary income for that week or month is just $10 or more then that is the only money you should use for your accumulation if you use more than that then you may face financial issues later in the future that may lead you to dip hands into your Bitcoin investment so it is better to stick only to your discretionary income to avoid delay in your Bitcoin accumulation journey, it is better to invest in the right way than investing in the wrong way.
Some set of people has messed up there Bitcoin investment because they wanted to catch up, Bitcoin is still growing so no need to rush accumulate with just your Discretionary income no matter how little it is, it will save you from messing up your investment.

You’re right to some certain point, yeah if you go into investing in bitcoin with money you can’t stay without using for long you may end up regretting , in situation like this recent dip in market if you use such money like your house rent , school fee etc to invest the chances of you selling in loss is pretty high so avoid such .

When investing in bitcoin there are sometimes you need to be aggressive because if you continue to use only little percentage of your money , you will only slow things down like using $10 while you know you can increase it without it affecting you financially, like times like this with the market recent dips some folks tend to be more aggressive in their accumulation trying to make better use of any opportunity they got but without over doing it though which will speed up the pace and same time be in a safer side .

I would've mentioned diversification if you haven't talked about it but since you've, I'll just add to what you've said cause it's another area of consideration, it's better for one to atleast start investing a penny now that the price of Bitcoin is still cheaper, maybe he might be diversifying a large part into other cryptos or trading rather but with time he'll get to understand that investing into Bitcoin is more profitable and focus more on it thereby pumping more cash into Bitcoin investment than others, starting a portfolio with constant investment of 9% of one's income for 5 years is better than not investing into Bitcoin all.
When we are talking about diversifying, it does not mean that you should invest in shitcoin. Diversifying of investment means when you diversify into a different line of asset. For instance, as you are investing in bitcoin and you have reach your bitcoin target, you can use the money that you were using to accumulate bitcoin into other investment like stock, bond, property equivalent e.t.c.

Diversifying is not really necessary if you don't know how to diversify so that you don't mess up with your funds, but if you feel that you are not secured enough with only your bitcoin investment, when you have reach your bitcoin target, you can diversify into other asset of your choice which you understand how to invest in.

In buying and selling of bitcoin I'm not condemning any of this party, people who buy bitcoin when the prize is low and people who buy bitcoin when the prize is high. The above said times are good in buying of bitcoin but expect to hold your bitcoin for at least 4 to 10 years before selling it, and don't always wait for the prize to drop before buying and don't sell in a short term

The current time is a period to buy more bitcoin, the greed index is still prevalent and everyone believes that the price of bitcoin will continue to rise, even those who sell now the intention that the price of bitcoin will decrease in the short term and is an opportunity to buy more bitcoin for the long term.
If you are an investor, it is an ideal opportunity to buy, and if you are in circulation, it is a good opportunity for sale and purchase at a cheaper price in the coming weeks.
When you have the money in your bank account, you can buy at anytime. There are some people who don't know that they suppose have the money in their bank account before waiting for the right period to come before they can buy BTC and hodl.

You can buy BTC at anytime from the market, when you are financial buoyant because the price of BTC will not remain in that particular price you buy the BTC, but if you don't have enough money with you, exercise patience for bear market to occur before you can buy BTC which is the best period for you, and it will give you opportunity to earn good profit in the future. At this current price in the market, is not good to rush to the market to buy BTC now because it will still drop again to reach $70k within this month, which it will give many investors the opportunity to buy more.
For those who want to invest in bitcoin for the long term and do not have enough money to accumulate in bitcoin at the beginning of their investment, if they are certain they will have discretionary income, there is no need for them to wait for a dip before they can start investing in bitcoin; they can start to accumulate bitcoin with the little discretionary income at their disposal without waiting for a dip to happen, but they can work on their finances along their accumulation process to be financially stable that will allow them to invest in bitcoin with a good amount of money. What tools did you use to know that Bitcoin will drop to $70k within this month? You sound more like a trader than a bitcoin investor because you are more concerned about buying bitcoin at the dip so that you will have the opportunity to sell your bitcoin for short-term profit once bitcoin increases in price.

Of course being aggressive sometimes make it very faster and easier for us to meet up our target so quickly than when we are accumulating using a smaller amount of money, though I think the money we have in our discretionary fund is what matters.

Because most people are so unfortunate which is why they don't invest aggressively, because they wouldn't want to be affected financially. This is why they choose to go with the little amount they have in thier discretionary fund of which is not also a bad ideal. Rather, is going to take a lot of time before they could meet up thier target that's depending on how consistant they're in the accumulating process.

You are very correct in everything you have just said here about diversification, but the purpose of diversifying our bitcoin investment is not only when we feel that we are not secure with our bitcoin investment, but we can also diversify our bitcoin investment into other assets like real estate or selling commodities so that it can give us more cash flow into our lives and give us the advantage of always being in a position of taking care of our daily expenses and controlling our bitcoin investment, which will allow us to hold our bitcoin investment as long as we intend to hold it without even thinking of selling it at a loss to survive.

Rather, is going to take a lot of time before they could meet up thier target that's depending on how consistant they're in the accumulating process.
As a Bitcoin investor, at some point in time it's very necessary to invest aggressively, especially during a dip, but before doing that, make sure you have more than enough and the leverage to carry it out without it affecting your regular expenses and your ability to finance your daily needs, if not it's just a matter of time before you deep hand into your holds just to fend for your needs, so it's very much important that before buying aggressively because of a dip, you have the financial leverage to do so, if not, your Bitcoin investment will be tempered with in no distance time which is a terrible way to go as a Bitcoin investor.
We should also not forget that direction is more important than speed, so in other not to hit a rock at some point, it's best we invest only what we can afford to do away without regardless of the market condition, because as long as their is constant adding up to our stash of Bitcoin, our accumulation goal must be met, it's just a matter of time.

Bitcoin investment is supposed to be something you do freely and less stressfully. The amount you invest in bitcoin is not allowed about how much, it's more about how often and how discretionary the amount.

Investing aggressively is good but it has to be completely discretionary to avoid developing a traders way of life. DCA is the best way to invest no matter how low bitcoin may Dip.

Yeah the dip is an opportunity for one to stock their portfolio at a very cheaper rate, so it's not a bad idea to increase the buying power so far it's won't affect other expenses, let's say if someone was investing 20 to 30% of their income whether weekly or monthly, they could increase to about 40% or so during the dip periods then continue their normal way of investing when the market is the other way round.

There's a saying that something slow but steady can still win a race, ponder on winning the race which is hitting ones goal, however increasing investment power during the dip doesn't really mean that the investor is trying to be too fast, it's just taking advantage of the negative side of the market to help boost their portfolio moreover every investor must always ensure to invest their spare cash regardless.

I agree with you. It's like the saying where the water cuts through stone - eventually, results will show themselves, we should just continue to work toward them and not give up halfway through.

If a new investor invests a small amount of money, then it will be seen as an irrational investor or greedy, I think this is completely wrong. Because a new investor is very scared, at first they are very afraid to invest, investing a small amount of money is not a bad thing. It is a good sign to gradually move from investing a small amount of money to investing a large amount.

If someone chooses to invest 9% of his savings, this is really not an ideal way. Because investing using 9% or 3% of his savings is not an ideal way or the right decision. You can invest 9% from the amount of money you have left after excluding personal expenses, housing expenses, all kinds of expenses. If you invest in this way, then even if your investment loses money immediately, you will not be very upset. Because you are investing after meeting all your needs. For example, you are investing with the amount of money you do not need, so even if you face immediate losses, you will not be too worried.

Through the DCA process, you can buy or deposit Bitcoin at any time. DCA is a very convenient process for depositing Bitcoin for beginners.

I join you in disagreeing with him, you see, some people think based on their personality and responsibilities without carefully learning why the person who decided to use $10 out of $90 decided that. That money is also big and sustaining in some countries, the exchange rate has to be considered too.

Besides, what can the person who keeps $80 to himself but invests $10 in Bitcoin possibly lose or suffer just for the shortfall of the $10? I call this a commitment to investment and dedication to Bitcoin. The good part is that it will help fight unnecessary spending on wants and frivolities, and most importantly help the person secure a better finance in the future.

How can you call it a wrong decision for an investor to invest 9% or 3% of his income? Daily expenses are certainly important. But if there is a prudent source of income, an investor can safely invest 9%. Because, 70%-80% of the prudent source of income may be enough to meet daily needs. If someone plans to invest 9% of the remaining 20%-30% of the money, then I do not see anything wrong with that. Although everyone's income and expenses are not the same. If you are unable to meet your daily needs with 70%-80% of your income from your income source, then it may be a bit risky for you to manage your investment with that source of income. If more than 85% of your income is spent on meeting daily needs, then I think your source of income needs to be upgraded for investment.

Because from the remaining money, you not only need to invest but also have a backup fund ready and sufficient cash flow. For this, I think it is important to have at least 15% of your income left for investment. Having more than 20% of your income remaining may be ideal for investing. So if investing 9% of your income is a bad decision, then your income source may not be prudent. In this case, I disagree with you.

Every investor is supposed to have a backup plan to be stable in the market of bitcoin, their are times that the dip gets dip that's the reasons for a backup plan so that you can buy the dip even when it's dip and still carry out your financial responsibilities

I cant believe you still dont know the meaning between discretionary income and actual income after so many months in this thread. It clearly shows you have not been learning anything at all. I will help you here. Actual income is the basic income you get at the end of the moth or week as the case maybe when you haven't settled any expenses. While your discretionary income is the money left after paying for your basic needs like food, rent and other utility bills. You can choose to invest your discretionary income or spend it the way you want to.

What the user Pi$$ was saying was that out of $90 discretionary income investing only $10 for someone who is eager to start and have a healthy investment is poor. Of course everyone has the right to do whatever they want with their discretionary income but if you are ready to have a healthy portfolio in Bitcoin then i support the motion of investing more than that $10 from $90 discretionary income.

To build a good Bitcoin portfolio, in addition to buying regularly, it may be a good idea to buy a little more aggressively when the market is in dip. In this case, you should also have an idea of how much the investor's ability is. Even if there is an opportunity to buy at a low price, if the investor's financial situation is not stable, then it is definitely not logical to buy Bitcoin beyond his ability. If you have the ability, it is better to buy more, and if not, it is safer to buy within a certain amount. Those who are intelligent and prudent will definitely try to hold more by accepting the decline in the price of Bitcoin as an opportunity according to their ability. Those who can apply the strategies to hold Bitcoin correctly will be able to benefit more than others.
