A lot of people seems to be misunderstanding the concept of emergency funds and why it is important for any long term investor on bitcoin. The first question to ask yourself is, what is an emergency fund and why is it important for any investor in bitcoin.  The answer to these question will unlock a broader understanding of the concept. Emergency funds by definition is an amount of money different from the fund for basic needs and fund for investment, that is set aside for events that were not planned for when calculating the basic needs, but must be attended to due to their importance. In other words, it covers event that cannot just wait or that can male you sell your bitcoin because of how important they are but you never knew they will happen. From the definition, you can already see that the emergency fund is very important and without it, you are putting your bitcoin investment at the risk of being sold when life challenges hit unexpectedly.

The emergency funds should not be invested into bitcoin because they are better left for the purpose for which they were set-up, unless maybe within the period of planning, no emergency happens and you receive extra cash flow which will require you to have surplus and then recalculate your emergency funds and invest part of the spill over.

Sadly, Diversify investments on crypto is just Bitcoin and Shitcoins since the majority of altcoins behave the same way while Bitcoin is the only coin that moves independently.

Backup funds and emergency funds are not invested. Emergency fund will not be used only for our own needs, it should be used in any situation. You notice that you have participated in Bitcoin investment and have an emergency fund, and you have fallen ill, then at the moment you have sufficient emergency fund.
Which you can use for the next few weeks, and you can withdraw money from the emergency fund for recovery and use it for medical treatment and continue investing Bitcoin in the regular DCA method. I guess this is what also @Joy-maker what trying to say. You didn't change anything and just discuss what he said. I agree on both of you about its usage and people should not use it for investment matters since by the name emergency funds it self it falls out on the category on which this fund is to be used on emergency situation.

That's why its better for investor to have  fund separated intended for that purposes so that they won't think about touching their discretionary funds intended to invest on Bitcoin or even worse sell your holdings because you need to cover up those situation that need and immediate attention. Agree with you. Emergency funds for urgent situation so from the name, we should be understand that we prepare the funds for our urgent situation. All people will face an urgent situation that need money so when we ready with that, we don't have to think to use our money for daily need because we have emergency fund.
