Me underestimate Nigerian politicians I dey mad? The thing here is that when price of things get high here in our country Nigeria is hard to come down, even if dollar rate is reducing daily the prices here in Nigeria isn’t not reducing making our naira not to be valuable and is affecting us badly. Due to the current price situation, 5,000 can’t even prepare a proper pot of soup due to the high cost of things in the market. The Nigeria government do not prioritize its citizens, from changing the national anthem to enforcing tax on their citizens.

5,000 is even too small for soup because 10,000 is the one people can only managed without buying something that is also important, if you want I could give you a sharp breakdown of how small the 10,000 could go, let's go for the meat, to buy an enough quantity that should be enough is from 6,000 so if this is being removed from the 10,000 you will have only 4,000 remaining from the 10,000 so to buy egussi you will spend another 1,000 from the amount, remaining 3,000 so when you buy cooking oil that's very costly now in the market the remaining money will be finish and you no go get waiting you go use again to buy the things way you use support the soup, so is very bad to see the money someone has to spend before you cook.

Once fuel prices increase in Nigeria everyone automatically increases the prices of their goods and when the prices of fuel drops,no One is willing to reduce the price of their goods because they had already bought it at a high price and this makes things harder for the poor,so it's not easy for the less privileged in Nigeria.

Saying  Nigeria is getting worst is an understatement the right word should be  Nigeria is already finished and needs God's supernatural intervention to be restored. In 2015 before mahamadu buhari took over power from Goodluck Jonathan, dollar was equivalent to 197 naira and cost of living in Nigeria was better but after taking over it increased to over 700 per dollar before handing over power to the current administration that made naira lost its  value to an extend a dollar increase to 1900 before depreciating to where it is now with know hope of going below that rate and the cost of living is going higher without coming down.

Nigeria is a country where every structure capitalised on every opportunities to there benefits therefore giving know room for price control which may reduce the cost of living in the country but only concentrate much in activities that are beneficiary to them without that of the poor masses. And with the way the economy is now, I see know sign of standard cost of living but only constant increase at all time, so all we need to do is to adjust our life to suit in to the situation at hand and pray for miracle because the current administration is never willing to effect positive change than a negative one.

I no no d area or state u dey stay for naija, but d place or state wey me dey stay in d country price of food items is coming down since d naira appreciate, u no say wen ever d dollar dey fall  in d market, it give those that are into import and export to experience some changes that will make dem to gain more or lose more in their goods, for naija any price that go up it hard for d price to come down easily because there are some people in d country that is taking advantage of high price of goods and services, even wen government increase their budget, it will not make any change in d country because there are some group of people who don't want d price of goods and services to come down base on their self interest.

Nigeria is actually getting worse. Sometimes when you look around you just wonder to yourself if this country Nigeria is actually growing, stagnant or going down.

Economy of Nigeria its not pleasing to the people. Dollars going up affects naira so bad. Purchase of things is on the high side. You can't use 100k in the market to stock your house. Things are way to expensive. I remember buying biscuit for ₦5,₦10 now to even buy biscuits of ₦50 is by chance.

The problem that Nigerians are facing is bad leadership, if really the leaders have the interest of the people at heart, they will always oblige the interest of the masses, and ensure that the affairs of the country is running very smoothly and Nigeria citizens will be proud of their leaders.

For Nigeria, you hardly see anything that goes up to come down easily. That's why I normally tell people our leaders isn't only our problem. We as individuals also contribute to the problems of the country. When there is increase in price of good, traders effect it immediately even when they are still with the old goods with the cheap price. But when it is decrease, they claim they are still with the goods they buy on high price. Dollar stability can bring immediately change in price of goods and services. It will take some months before decrease in place of goods and services can happen.

I will first give the blame to the government because they are the ones that have access to the economy and equally set the tone on how the economy should move or operated. There are certain things that cause these loopholes that people are taking advantage of and it is mostly when the policies are unstable and the effect of such unstable economy hits the major importer at the top of the chain down to the market woman selling attarugu and tattashe. When you complain those people in the market will tell you they are only trying to survive and survival in this kind of situation do come with greed and fear of not withstanding the price rise and fall in the market.

My problem with our people is, it is like they are always looking for opportunities when the economy is unstable for them to carry their own part of greed. What annoy me the most is when they deliberately live the price of their products up, they don't bring it down again even if in reality the prices are now down and should benefit the masses. Everyone is just showing greed here and there.

I sincerely agree with you that Nigeria seems to be getting worse as the prices of goods and services keeps skyrocketing, no business Man/woman wants to reduce the prices of goods even when the dollar rate has dropped and goods are expected to be less expensive, most times I don't blame those that are into business because when the dollar rate raises and they bought goods expensively, it is expected of them to sell it at a higher rate so they can recover the amount they bought the goods and make profits from it.

Even goods being manufactured or food stuffs we plant here in the country still has high prices even with the dollar rate going down, even after a long time the prices still refused to drop and it baffles me. We blame the government for all these things but some of the hardship is caused by ourselves, a lot of people are being greedy and they don't care to contribute to making the country a better place. We don't have to always wait for the government we can start by making life easy for ourselves. Sometimes I wonder if we will ever witness a good Nigeria again because the country has gotten too bad.

Most of the hardship we face is caused by fellow Nigerians, how would the dollar exchange rate reduces and yet the prices of goods in the market won't reduce?, this is one of the causes of hardship, the marketers don't reduce the prices of their goods even though dollar drops, I think one of the factors that had made the marketers not to reduce it,  is the higher cost with which it was bought before the dollar rate fell.

If I'm a business person and I went to the market and bought a bag of rice for 200,000 thousand naira, even if the dollar drops I will still sell at a higher amount so I can recoup the money I bought it when the dollar was high, though there are little commodities that the marketers shouldn't have inflated the price and some of them are pepper, local tomatoes and vegetables, does dollar affect those once too? Dollar rate has nothing to do with those ones because they are planted by farmers and it should be sold at a cheap price, you can identify with me why I said most of the hardship is caused by ourselves.
