Does the No duplicate posting rule apply to this guy?

cyrilmorris has just made it a habit to make duplicate posts "advertising" the same service repeatedly in different boards since last year.

Out of the 42 topics he has opened, only 1 or 2 don't talk about "rwaltz". I wanted to report all his post history, but I am still confused since he has been posting from last year. I don't think the mods could have missed this pattern since last year. Is this allowed in the forum?

Definitely the account only posts about “Rwaltz” but one thing that I think might have made the member to probably avoid maybe tem ban or any of the punishments is that the duplicated posts do not have exact context or subject. I think the paraphrasing has actually made the member escape been punished by the mod.

Duplicating in different boards is definitely an offense but this member is seriously covering tracks by using a different subject for every single thread in different boards and also the timing to me (difference of three days) seems to be well planned out and this will definitely cut off the eye of mods until maybe someone reports them.

Since the posts have different contents and they are not duplicate, the user in question isn't breaking rule number 12 regarding duplicate posts. But this doesn't mean the user isn't breaking any rule.

I checked the post history, it's not duplicate posts, but it definitely shilling that service and more like spam. But I can say it's doing its best to avoid its posts getting deleted.

Since the posts have different contents and they are not duplicate, the user in question isn't breaking rule number 12 regarding duplicate posts. But this doesn't mean the user isn't breaking any rule.

This is also part of the forum rules, which I see as what he is breaking, but looking at the OP's post history, it's obvious that the person behind the account knows what he or she is doing by placing those posts in a different way, even as they are saying and promoting the same thing. 
 
All the other posts could have just been added as an update to the already existing thread to make it less spamming, or they could also serve as a bump since the intention is to make people aware of and attract attention to the project.

The user is smart and probably an agent or owner of the service he is obviously shilling across several boards. The posts might, in reality, appear as spamming, but he is able to avoid being noticed probably because he is intelligent and posts professionally. Instead of using such pattern, he would have just embedded everything in a signature and engaged in discussion across the various sections of the forum that would have created the same visibility yet appear less like spamming.

Now that the OP has created a topic here, maybe the mods can be the judge. Hope the report to the admin button has also been used for faster response from the mods?

Nothing actually goes unnoticed on the forum, it’s always about users not feeling so much concern to get it out until one user just decides to do so.

Yeah, the mods can decide on what’s best now and that could be, having to archive most of them posts and probably leave out one for the service board. It doesn’t really matter if you’re just bumping, just ensure they aren’t multiples threads with the same theme on several boards, that ain’t right! It’s disruptive and constitutes spamming in a way.

In my opinion, the posts have not been deleted by moderators, just because no one has reported them.
I just reported some of the topics and asked moderators to check the user post history. Let's see what will happen.

I also checked and wasn't duplicated rather the Ops perspective has basically evolved around the approach of Rwaltz which makes it shilling even though the posts has been of different contexts. It really feels like spamming.
It's unfortunate that lot of users account in the forum is basically for a particular project promotions and that's exactly what the Op is up to.

It's clear he's trying to avoid no duplicate rule. But IMO it's obvious SEO spam, where he should be nuked long time ago. Anyway, i left him a tag and report almost all of his post which contain word "rwaltz".

The user is shilling a service in the worst way possible but the most worst thing about those posts is that they are generated with AI.

I've checked some posts of the user with AI content detectors and they're detected as AI generated content.

I believe we all should report the user and his/her posts so he/she won't be able to create more AI generated spam to shill a service on this forum.

If the user was still a newbie mods would have nuked them, if only someone had reported the posts earlier. Now the only action is to delete all the spam posts and keep an eye out for repeat of rule abuse. Maybe a ban down the road for repeated spamming.

They were duplicate in a sense that he kept posting Announcements about the same product in different boards while just trying to paraphrase texts and use ChatGPT to create the ads.
I am glad the mods deleted some posts, especially the recent ones. I now get the picture that this kind of thing is not allow and will just do the reporting next time.

It definitely doesn't have the same content, but I'mma be real with you; the moment I realize you're trying to say too much, without even making any valid point, that's you going on my ignore list without hesitation...

That's exactly the reason why most newbies aren't spared at first sight... Seems like 97/100% are either a part of a large alt farm or an account created by someone that knows nothing about what happens in here.

Those reports are unhandled because old posts are not moderatod, even if they are reported.
I think you missed the message saying "Old post: We generally do not moderate posts this old for on-topicness, substantiveness, multi-posting, and other "cleanliness" issues." when reporting old posts.

I didn't miss that message, but IIRC a moderator says its okay to report old SEO spam. And almost all thread i reported shows that same message, where some of them marked as good anyway. Maybe there's something i missed or forget here.

Edit: Now all of my reports marked as good. But some of the thread are locked rather than deleted, which means the user still enjoy benefit of SEO spamming.
