That would be fantastic... Just to make sure - is that a 2013 Titan, not 2017?

I quite hate the idea that the only connection to public address of my coin is some stranger's screenshot; why the address is not at least on CoA is just beyond me... Roll Eyes

it was a 2017 and had a corresponding cert I think I won/bought here that I may or may not even have anymore, it feels like so long ago.... Cheesy

I am pretty sure I know where the coin is but i'll need a few more days sorry. Sad

this is a 2017 tenth that has been peeled - the qr code is to the titan site but the first bits are also typed below the qr code

I have 4 total and all are the same way.

This is a difference between 2014 and 2017 PKs.
2017s have a real first bits under the QR, so the address can be found on blockchain with some effort.
But 2014s don't. My has a code "fyPcLJVM" under the QR, but the public address is 1Ped8aWqeKSvhN6AJT8ark5Tfyqw5gQGqK:

https://asktom.cf/index.php?topic=5466987.0

And AFAIK the address is not under the holo either.

I went and looked back and I believe you are correct - my 2014 .5 btc and 2013 1 btc have codes and not first bits. The 2016 1 btc and 2017 .1 btc have first bits.

Hi everyone. I’ve read through some of this thread and the last thread.
I have a titan one 2FA coin. I discovered that I couldn’t redeem it when I went to change
The password before selling, years ago. Since then, it’s been in limbo.
The coin ID did show one funded bit coin on the titan mint site. However they do not work in the wallet explorer sites
because, I guess, they are not true “firstbits” like my Microsoul coin has.
Tim did finally respond to my emails, in early 2025, and offered a 40 percent payout. He wanted my state ID
and the coin info. I was worried about fraud and before I could decide weather to accept that deal or wait to see if he could restart the Website, he ghosted me. I fell in love with the dramatic design
of the coins but sadly, it seems they are just lumps of metal now. Unless you are lucky enough to
own the private key version, apparently.

Was there any progress with a lawsuit regarding this crypto coin debacle?

I can tell you this, Tim did pay out me approx 40ish percent (I dont remember the exact percentage) on 9 coins and he did pay me. I did have to provide id and I did have to sign a release saying I would not pursue him for the remaining owed balance.

Ok, good to know. I have no issues with signing a release. I didn’t know that there were other people going through the same thing, either. When I lost access to the coin on his website, I guess I should have looked around for some answers. For a long time I thought it was a password problem though.
Do you, or does anyone, know how many coins remain  “unresolved”?
Thanks

I do not. I know - so far at least - only the 2FA coins are an issue because they were never loaded. According to Tim, he had stored the funds on Mt. Gox hoping to earn yield and lost it all when they got hacked - and since that time had been using sales to pay any 2FA coins being redeemed - eventually that just wasn't enough. I think he was hoping the Mt. Gox issue would get resolved faster than it has taken.

Well ffs I wish he would have just said that with a site notice.  And let us know that we still might get some return once the mtgox thing got resolved. Yes we would have read him the riot act but, he might still have been able to keep the site up. The site intact, with some number of users who might have been “hodling” anyway and maybe buying product,  surely would  have been worth more than it is now, which is basically a domain placeholder. I dunno. Guy owes me one bc though. I’d have been fine with sitting on it but now, forget it.

I email him once or twice a month. He probably never checks it. Heck of a thing to have hanging over tiur head though. The way bc is going recently, you’d think he’d be keen on settling with everyone quickly before it goes higher

I still do not understand for the life of me why no law enforcement agency will help us out with this piece of shit. I’ve literally laid out a blue-print of his crimes, so prosecutors wouldn’t have to do much work in many regards

I have been meaning to update this thread , as well as try and get a count for how many people are still owed from Tim. I imagine there’s at least 5-10 collectors that frequent this forum still owed ..WHAT I PROPOSE- PLEASE READ ALL-  if Tim owes you, either note that here in this thread or DM me. If we get enough people together I imagine for those out 115 thousand dollars plus in fiat value would be willing to potentially split costs for an attorney to prosecute if need be.   Perhaps we make another attempt to get law enforcement involved. Pretty sure I pay taxes for shit like this, smh.

I read an article recently where some Bitcoin ATM was scamming people (forget the details) but the local authorities got a warrant to crack open the ATM and claimed all of the greenbacks inside. Now they have to figure out who’s owed what..so they’ll do shit like that but “we” are still left with our dick in our hands all these years later.  There’s no question my threads have been read by some policing agency at some point 🤷‍♂️ 🤦‍♂️

Yup. He’s a scammer and doesn’t want to be paying anyone out, but knew his identity was too well known to get away with all this completely Scott free so that’s why he set up his bullshit 40% deal, held webinars and also why he doesn’t respond to inquiries in any sort of timely fashion, he’s trying to wait everyone out. Hoping we go away (hey Tim, I never will..fyi). I see people from time to time on Reddit inquiring about the 2FA coins. They don’t know about this forum and are often completely lost.  I proposed this to Theymos in a thread once..being the r/bitcoin head moderator it would be pretty great if he built a bot that would send people this way when physical bitcoins are mentioned or at least physical bitcoin scams. I know he doesn’t get involved in scam cases and I completely understand that, but man, a bot would really help a lot of people out, both for past scams and helping educate for potential new scams in the space.  I dunno, maybe that’s a bad idea.

There can’t be many of the 2FA titan coins left, at this point.  But for sure, a notice about not buying them would be helpful.
Regarding a class action, that might be an option with payment contingent on recovery. There might not be anything to recover, though. A PI might be able to determine that.
It’s an unfortunate situation all around. I still do like the idea of a physical coin that you can exchange intact, or sweep the bitcoin out of. There are some low denomination tokens currently on eBay made to a pirate theme. Very high premium through. Of course that’s what I said about the satori chips when they were selling for 50 dollars. Now sold for 250. Sure wished I collected a few.

There are more Titan 2FAs still out there than you realize. Much more. I’ve been told many things in confidence, people whom don’t want to publicly speak about scams and Titan being no different. The PI is a solid suggestion indeed. Certainly need to make sure the scumbag has assets. That said, law enforcement should do their mother fucking job.

Just catching up on this shit fight.

I have a solid gold PK Titan 1BTC. It's in a safety deposit box though. Anyone know if these had the first bits under the QR code? Anyone had any trouble redeeming the solid gold Titans?

Can anyone confirm if Tim stated that he kept the PKs of all the Titans in a security safe? If so, I think this is very serious and everyone should peel their coins. If anyone knows whether this is true, please confirm and share.
