which one is best? I have been using Canva for my Graphic designs in terms of bringing a flowchart to graphic representation but someone introduced me to Figma recently and I think Figma might just be more professionally acceptable or is Figma Exaggerated?

Figma is a lot better in terms of creating UI/UX as it offers more functionality and tools that helps in building websites or apps that simply work. Canva is a bit more beginner-friendly, although since most of its tools are 'simplified' to the core, it doesn't allow advanced users to get what they always wanted design-wise.

I have used Figma and Canva and overall, and being somewhat an intermediate user myself, Figma is more usable and a lot more 'available' for my needs.

You may want to check out Webflow as well. It's mainly on creating web apps due to its more advanced tools, but it can still be utilized as a UI/UX design environment.

Thank you for this well-informed reply. I am currently checking out the webflow and from the look of things it almost feels like using Elementor page builder in WordPress. I think I will explore it more to understand its features.

Figma is not overrated or exaggerated. Figma actually have more advantage than Canva when it comes to UI/UX Designs because it has advanced tools like the Vector graphics designs and templates which are easy to use and customize. Though Canva also have it's preset templates you can play around with, just by typing the word 'UI/UX Designs' and you will be availed with free and paid/pro templates you can choose from. Yet you cannot compare the resources available on Figma and Canva. You also have the advantage of importing various Vector graphics already created by others on your Figma and 100s of templates scattered online. If Canva starts supporting Vector based features, it will go along way to make works easier.

Talking about the Real-time collaboration, both platforms support such. When you're using Figma, you can collaborate with other editors and work on same workspace. The same can be possible on Canva. On Figma, you can create smooth interactive prototypes which gives clients good user experience.

Both platforms also have flexible cross-platform functionalities since you can design on any operating system system as much as you have a compatible browser to load the websites since both Figma and Canva have smooth running website design modes. It also means collaborators can work on different devices being it mobile phones, desktops, tablets, androids or iphones, simultaneously.

When you talk about professionalism, I think Figma may go first since Canva is more generic to accommodate any kind of graphics design you intend to do, but Figma is more specific and gives users the advanced tools and working environment to execute bigger and more efficient and specific UI/UX designs. Nonetheless, it does not make Canva less professional.

For UI/UX design, you should use Figma.

One thing nobody’s mentioned is how easy it is to scale in Figma. You can start with a couple of screens, then turn them into full-blown design systems without rebuilding everything from scratch. Canva can’t do that.
In the past, i tried to intend some UI/UX courses and get a certificate, considering that i don't have access to paid courses because the only payment method i have is cryptocurrencies (mainly btc at that time). Unfortunetly found no options but to enroll free 7 days free trial in coursera and this wasn't enough time to follow full courses. Now as you guys discussing an interesting topic, i want to ask if Figma is really friendly use for someone to learn UI/UX from scratch? And if anyone of you knows any course that i can pay using cryptocurrencies to obtain a certificate.

I’ve played around with both, and for actual UI/UX work Figma just feels more natural. Canva’s great for quick graphics or marketing stuff, but once I started doing proper layouts for a site I was building with CreativeWeb, a web design agency, Figma made way more sense. It’s easier to tweak components, keep everything consistent, and share the design with whoever’s doing the build.

Figma is the most recognized professionally, as a UI/IX designer, Figma is a very key and important tool you will need, some industries when looking for a UI/UX designer, they mostly make that it is compulsory you are very proficient with Figma meanwhile other design platforms is regarded as an added advantage.
