Agreed, the reason Onana is the main choice to enter the starting lineup, because basically Manchester United does not have another goalkeeper who has better quality than Onana. I would probably agree that Onana was not bad this season and probably at the end of last season, but it is impossible to forget how many goals were missed due to his personal mistakes. Sometimes he makes beautiful saves and sometimes he makes terrible mistakes, such volatility does not instill confidence in defenders. Maybe under Amorim he will become more stable, or at least Amorim will make it so that he has less work (and less chance of making mistakes).

Anderlecht should be okay unless they lose both games. I think then it could still become a tight finish as they don't have such a great goal difference, would then have an even worse goal difference why teams behind them would get the chance to close the gap. I always see United fans shit on Onana, but then I watch their matches and I wonder why they always shit on him. He's a very important part of their squad. He wins games for them, by making incredible saves yet, the fans still believe he's the problem at United.
I understand that Onana has some foolish moments and that could be due to lack of concentration and discipline but overall, he's not a bad goalkeeper.

The defense and midfield of Manchester United is not good at all, especially the midfield. They don't have a reliable DM and hardworking and reliable CMs and that is why they can't keep the ball and when they don't keep the ball, the defense and keeper suffers for it.
