Liverpool have been successful in most of the matches they have played so far this season, but despite their best efforts, they could not win against Manchester United. Since Liverpool could not win against Manchester United, there is no chance to say that Liverpool performed poorly in that match. Liverpool have performed as well as Manchester United have, making the competition tough but neither team has won against the other. If Manchester United can compete hard with the best-placed teams in the Premier League and Champions League, they should also compete hard with their Europa League rivals and earn full points. They don't have too many matches left in their hands to secure the next round of the Europa League and that is only possible with a good performance.

A big surprise that Liverpool was not able to defeated Manchester United, imagine the all Liverpool that’s claimed the top of the standings wot highest points; but definitely fall down in the hand of the a weak teams that are not been performing well all this while but such people by leading their last match against strong team to a draw game. If to say this how Manchester United started their performances with a wonderful journey they could be in a  3rd or second position by now.

Teams like Ajax, Anderlecht and Lyon have been mentioned on this thread but it seems everyone is omitting one club who are currently sitting in second spot below Lyon “Athletic Club” who have won 5 games in 6 and drew one, I think they are also a team to look out for and can bring the surprise of the season in the Europa League this season.

Lazio and Athletic Bilbao have the same points, namely 16 points with 5 wins and 1 draw, on the other hand both teams are also the teams with the strongest defense so far in the UEFA Europa League, at least from 6 matches. Lazio only conceded three goals, and Bilbao even less, they only conceded two goals. On the other hand in their respective domestic leagues, they are also teams that are quite reckoned with when facing top teams, especially Lazio who were able to stop Napoli's winning record and were able to hold Atalanta to a draw.

and another team that is worth considering this season is E. Franankfurt, they are one of the best teams in the Bundesliga and they also have a reliable striker who is currently on the rise, namely Omar Mamoush. but unfortunately, when the competition towards the last 16 was quite tight, the English club that usually performed impressively, they had to lose their consistency.

Their current number of goals scored and conceded are not so different and actually are not so relevant in my opinion as they both have played great and impressive games. I think both teams are well set up to be able to win this title as they have mostly performed against expectations. I didn't see Bilbao being so strong and while Lazio had some weaker results, they have been playing better than expected as well.

We know that there are not much options left for Manchester United this season, it's either the take the Europa league serious or face out on their chances to qualifying for the Champions league next season. Amorim has so much to do and he still has to balance both competitions which are the premier league and championship league which definitely will be a demanding task for him.

At this point in the Europa Manchester has to intentional with winning. All they need is improve on getting to win their games and not sharing points with their opponents. Soon we will move to knockout stage where only the winners of that round will progress to the next and this calls for prompt action.

I think that Amorim is not in a condition to give priority to any of the tournaments, since he came to the team the results are too bad to allow themselves to choose which matches to focus on, Manchester United should win all the games now, but I doubt that this is possible. And since the opponents in the Europa League are weaker than in the Premier League, Manchester United can try to get a place in the Champions League thanks to winning this tournament, although I do not believe that Manchester United in such form is capable of this.

It may be true that a season can be saved when a team wins the Europa League as it gives you the qualification for the Champions League and a prestigious title. But to believe that a coach in Amorim's position could ever choose to neglect any of the three most important competitions in England is completely wrong. The focus usually is the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Europa/Champions League for a club like Manchester United.

The Premier League is priority 1 because that is where the fans go and watch every week or every second week in home games and fans want their team to compete for something. Giving away the Premier League is the worst that can happen and it happened to Manchester United way too early this season. It's bad for fans because they want excitement all season long. Of course Europa and Champions League are great events and can cover up some bad events from other contests, but it is not what the fans want. The fans want their team to be at the top and compete with Liverpool and Arsenal and not have their view pointed towards the relegation zone.

But Amorim can save the season to some degree with the Europa League as nobody would say it was a bad season if they were to win it. But I think they are far from winning the Europa League.

It is only natural that Amorim has the full trust of MU officials because of his status as a permanent coach, while Van Nistelrooy is only an interim coach. I actually really hope Official gives Van Nistelrooy more time, but they are in a rush to bring in a new coach. Amorim is still trying to find the best formation in the MU squad, currently there are still some holes that cannot be closed, maybe next season MU performance will be better after bringing in some new players.

You are right. Manchester United are still unbeaten in Europa League and with their chances of qualifying for an Champions League competition next season unrealistic due to their current standing and their performance so far in the English Premier League, I’m sure that they would switch their effort to the Europa League, which they will try to win but they will face stiff competitions from Lazio and Athletco Bilbao but with the squad depth and quality of players at the disposal of the Manchester United with a top quality coach like Amorim, I think they have a chance at winning this season Europa League.

Europa seems to be actually very intresting and it is getting more and more interesting to watch you know that when clubs that you don't expect anything from is doing very well then we should definitely expect the competition to be more competitive and that is exactly what is happening now in the Europa, and the fact that all clubs are try and the positions are not actually ment for a particular club but everything seems to be changing very fast and we know from the beginning thay clubs like Ajax are very dangerous and they are always found of given bigger clubs tough time and people are always underestimating them, but the moment you do that with clubs like Ajax then you might just become the prey. Athletic Club Are also doing extremely well, and watching out for them will be of serious help, there is no reason to worry.

Manchester United are a team in transition and it would be right for both fans and Manchester United board to give Ruben Amorim the support he needs to be able to achieve success at the club. Ruben Amorim is  undoubtedly a talented coach and with his previous record at Sporting CP and I believe that with time and patience Amorim could be in the best position to return Manchester United back to their glory days.

They are unbeaten yet they don't look promising,  it feels weird that they don't look promising yet they have managed to stay unbeaten for this long run. Manchester United for me has got this as their chance to win the europa after a failed attempt last season,  this too will avail them opportunity to register a spot at the UCl next season so it won't be a bad idea to actually shift priority to the europa as with the Premier League there's a whole lot of doubts as to how possible that can ever be this season.

Demanding to get something in his first season when the situation is not good, I think it is too much. Because after all he needs a process to form a better squad. Maybe the top 4 is something that can be considered, but if you want more than that I think it is too much. AMorim came at a time when the situation was not good and it was even worse than it seemed. The coach also needs time to build a foundation that can bring a team to play well and that is impossible to do in a short time. Except maybe previously Manchester United was in a very good condition, so the demand for achievement would be reasonable.

I think it is not right to criticize Amorim at this stage. Because the team he was given is an unsuccessful team. Just remember how patient they were with Ten Hag. If Amorim, who played great matches with Sporting Lisbon and settled the team in three years, is given a chance, I think he has the potential to take Manchester United to another level. They are really successful both as a technical director and as a scouting team. I think Manchester United will use their opportunities and build a better team in the Premier League. The important thing is to give him a little more opportunity and not expect immediate success from him.

This is the summary of their situation. The Red Devils should be patient with Amorim. He suffers from not having a decent squad now. For long years, this has been the situation Manchester United has had. Nobody managed to build a strong squad with all that money spent.

Including Erik ten Hag. He also spent a lot of money but failed hard. Spending 95 million euros on a flop like Antony must be like his biggest failure in signings. He stayed quite long despite all of these things.

Now I think Amorim won't be the same hopefully. If he has vision, he would bring the right players for every field of the squad. Because I think they need a big reinforcement to be successful in every tournament including the Europa League.

I also quite agree with you about giving Amorim more time to fix Manchester United from this season until next season. Because without being given enough time, of course it will seem very rushed and also will not get maximum results for the team he coaches. So the level of leeway through time must really be given to Amorim because he has such a strong determination to fix the team, especially after successfully bringing in several new players into the Manchester United team.
