Yesterday, Besiktas delivered a very thumping blow to Atletico Bilbao and I'd be a liar if I say I saw that coming. Judging from their stats and standings, the Spanish club had more advantage and even were the favorites of bookies to win the game with an odd of 2.05 as against Besiktas 3.78.
This win enabled the Turkish side get a fighting chance as they where moved forward to 18th spot as against the 23rd place they were and although they occupy this spot temporarily depending on the outcome of the games that would be played today, it's indeed a big leap.

Football can be really funny and full of surprises because the team you'd think are the weakest can be the one that will pack the biggest bite when you meet them and I'm sure Atletico Bilbao felt they could collect all the points so they can drop Lazio to second place while they move to first but  their performance wasn't on point.

It was a very good moment for the new coach Ole Gunnar Solskjær, precisely in his first game as Besiktas coach, he managed to win convincingly, let's hope that he can also get positive results in the next games of the Turkish league. Most times red cards tends to slow down the receiving end players especially if it's early in the game, Real Sociedad really lost a man in the early stages. Playing with a one man down against an attacking team can be really demanding. The extra man that Lazio had, they really made good use of it by scoring 3 goals in 45 minutes. Although Real Sociedad added one goals in the second half which is the only scored  in that half. I stand to say that, if not for the red card, Lazio would have really found themselves a serious challenge in the hands of Real Sociedad.

When I saw that Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim decided to start Altay Bayındır ahead of Andre Onana in their the Europa League game against Rangers tonight, I wasn't surprised. I think he was forced to make that decision after Andre Onana's horrific performance in the club's last game even when he saw Altay Bayındır deliver a man of the match performance when Manchester United eliminated Arsenal from the English FA Cup.
The narrow win against Rangers tonight of you ask me wasn't a convincing result but a very good one for Manchester United who really needed all three points to keep their hopes of reaching the knockout stages of the competition alive. I hope they will continue to improve this result and perform better in games to come

Manchester United will meet Rangers and they play at Old Trafford which is Manchester United home ground, this will be very interesting match because Rangers themselves are also right below Manchester United and are not team that can be underestimated, Rangers have 3 win, 2 draw and 1 defeat and that means Rangers could make Manchester United have hard time later.

On paper, United are the clear favorites and the game should end 2-0 or 3-1 in their favor, but given United's instability, it's hardly wise to bet on 1.47. Plus it's the Europa League and maybe the only motivation for United today is to defend their top eight spot to avoid extra play-off games.

That's how it has always been, for UTD to be the favorite in many games they play in the Europa league this season and they end up losing it or probably playing a draw. I think the odd is not stable and they're suppose to give UTD something much higher than the 1.47, let's say 1.80+ and for Rangers 4.0+ after all Rangers are better than UTD this season or they should balance it 2pt each. The 3-1 you said might go the other way and from how the manager of Manchester United sees his team, is like they're good for nothing players and they can as well lose this game but after apologizing (I wouldn't call that an apology after saying thrash after the team, this might be a fake apology) they might step up their game, I'm not saying they will get a win, still don't trust them (UTD).

Both teams are trash. I dont like any of them. They are playing in bad forms both teams and this can go either way. Man Utd so far in the Europe League always starts the match by conceding a goal it dosent matter if they are playing at home or away. Lazio is playing very well. They scored 3 goals in the first half against a strong team like Real Sociedad. The red card helped them, but they were ahead when they played 11 v 11. Taty Castellano is a good striker, he scored again and also he made an assist.
They really deserve the lead. They are one of the teams that can reach the cup final. I've also watched many games of Athletic Bilbao, Lyon and Tottenham, none of them are in as good form as Lazio. Of course, luck of the draw is also important but I think Lazio is the favorite team in the cup right now.

Manchester United was indeed lucky as they conceded the equalizer after 88 minutes and were then able to score another goal after 92 minutes. They were close to giving it away again, but got lucky they could turn the tides once more.

You can see from the game statistics that they are badly coordinated in their defense. They had 67% ball possession, which suggests that the Rangers can't have had too many chances in the game. But it is the opposite. The Rangers had 7 shots on target while Manchester United had 6 shots on target. 7 shots on target from a team like the Rangers in a Manchester United home game are way too many. Of course if you allow the opponent so many attempts in spite of low ball possession, some of the shots will hit the back of the net at times. But they got away with it and now they are safe in the next round I think.

Right from the first day Amorim was introduced to Manchester United, my first and only advice for him was to concentrate on Europa League which I know would be easier for him to win than compete for the top four in the English Premier League.

Why I believe that Europa League will not be very difficult for him is because he's style of play could be okay to win any random team in the European League but using the short period of time he has to study the English Premier League type of play and enforce his pattern would not actually work. If here Manchester United team after a long performance was able to score a goal in extra time and made his team win. Fernandes played the biggest role in this, Manchester United team is performing badly this season, because Rangers team is a relatively weak team.
Still, they fought with Manchester United team for a long time and the game was drawn in the end, but the result of fate in history Rangers team was forced to lose in the end.
