Onana flops again and there seems to be no sign of this goalkeeper improving. I think it's time for Bayindir to get a bigger role. He may be coming off an injury, but it's worth a try rather than taking a gamble with Onana. Man United should have played better than this and their problems are still the same, a sloppy goalkeeper and a poor striker, and I think they were lucky because Lyon played below average in this match.

Incredibly, Lazio lost this afternoon against bodo glimt! I would never have expected it from the first in the table to lose 2-0 against a much inferior team. Losing playing well can happen, but to perform so poorly is disappointing for the fans. Now they will have to sweat hard in the return match if they want to go ahead in the competition.

Lazio losing 2:0 at Bodo/Glimt today was the most surprising result in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter finals. Lazio have been outstanding this season and when I saw the that they were drawn against the Norwegian club, I concluded that it'll be a walk over tie for them but just after first leg, they'll now have to overturn a 2- goal deficit in the second leg before they can progress to the semi finals. Can they actually achieve that feat in the second leg? Time I think will tell.

I feel exactly the same way! I think that few would have bet on the victory of the bodo glimt, Lazio has had a truly amazing run in the Europa League and for me it was a surprise to see them defeated today. It will be very difficult for them to overturn a two-goal difference, but nothing is impossible! We will see what happens in the return match

I agree with you because you just said my mind. Yoro was the one that came from behind to equalize the goal, whereas, we have strikers. United strikers are playing like shit and the management needs to offload these set of players. Fernandez is the only player doing all the ball work on the pitch.

If Manchester United continue this way, it is obvious that they will be in more mess next season. There is no sign of improvement, a bunch of amateur players living on fat salaries. Most times you will even understand that these guys have not control and even the first touch of Garnacho is not smooth.

I am not sure Manchester United will survive this stage if they refuse to win against Lyon in their home. The only saving grace of Manchester United will be if they are able to win tonight.

Lyon players are the ones making the game lively and interesting to watch. I concluded the first half, Lyon played very well despite some lame attacks from them, which should have been converted. Manchester United are also facing the same problem, the scores might just be settled at 1-1, both teams are really back in performing brilliantly.  If they end draw, Manchester United will play at home in the next Leg phase, United are going with the higher advantage, surely they won't lose the opportunity to beat Lyon at home.

Lyon played quite neatly and orderly because they knew that it would not be easy to face Man Utd later in the 2nd leg so they had to be able to get maximum results in this 1st leg match, I don't know whether the final result of this match will be a draw or not but I saw Lyon fighting hard.

In another match, Tottenham vs Frankfurt is taking place with a score of 1-1, I did not expect Tottenham to have difficulty facing the visiting team, I can't imagine how much pressure Frankfurt will put on Tottenham in the second leg later.

The win against Atalanta gives Lazio hope for the UCL next season. They have lost 8 Serie A games so without winning the UEL they will not play in the UCL. Lazio know what they must do in Rome against Bodo Glimt.

Man United and Lyon game is the only one people care about, and I guarantee you that it is the highest wagered one in todays games as well. I am not entirely sure how long it will go, but if it can do better, then we are going to end up with a lot more income as well.

I still believe United has a lot more to prove, if Lyon loses then it wouldn't be the end of the road for them, they were not expected to win this when the league started so they wouldn't lose much if they end up losing here, they did good so far. However, if they end up winning, that would be shocking for them. United on the other hand has to win, they are not going anywhere next season unless they win the whole thing, so they need to not only win this, but win more later and get the cup.

Oh my God, Bodo/Glimt beat Lazio 2-0 and I think Lazio played really bad.
Bodo/Glimt are the surprise winners tonight, I don't think anyone expected this result.
Many people even bet on Lazio to win and all of those bets lost tonight.
Lazio have a chance to advance to the semi-finals at home but they need to play really well.

Despite all their attempts and attacks, Tottenham could not score the winning goal. Their system is to play completely up front, and the right-back and left-back players play in the attack anyway, Porro scored the goal.
They were not in the form they were when Harry Kane was last there, they were a bad duo back then.
If Tottenham had not had so many injured players this year, they would understand each other better in these matches and play better, when you look at the injuries, this was the thing that pushed this team back the most throughout the season.

Yes it seems obvious like they all agreed to play a draw: Manchester United should have won there game after getting a late goal, the game was just a fair one, none of the team could’ve imagined that most of the games was going to end on a stalemate. But Bodo/Glimt was a deserved winner. They have been very good in their own league, they deserved to win against Lazio, Tottenham vs Frankfurt was a very good game as well both team showed there determination. But stalemate was just a better result for both teams so it should be decided in the second leg.

The game is still on a draw of 2-2, and there is a higher possibility that the game might end in a draw, which will be in favour of Manchester United because they will try their possible best to see that they win the second leg, as it will be a home game for them, which is an advantage for them to meet up to the semi-finals. As from all indications, Manchester United are after the trophy and still want to maintain their unbeaten record this season, which is a good one if we are able to see Manchester United as the champions of the Europa League this season, even though their performances are still poor in the Premier League, but at least they were able to keep a good record in the Europa League.

Lazio can qualify for the next Champions League by beating their opponents in Serie A. Bologna, who are fourth in the standings, are only 2 points behind and I do not think they are impossible to reach, the same goes for Atalanta who are third in the standings, +3 behind Lazio. So it is not really essential to win the Europa League just to get into the next Champions League. Lazio should win the Europa League to gain prestige and put an important trophy in their trophy cabinet.

It was a good game and still a very open game that can go either way, Lyon are not making it easy for Manchester United and also I think Manchester United need to sign a proper striker as soon as possible because Hojlund doesn't seem like the one to take them to that height they want to reach. I think the only bright player in Manchester United now is Bruno Fernandes and a few that might improve when the system improves and things are better.
I knew Lyon will be a strong contender and from the first half it is clear which team is better already. It's game on now and I believe more goals will come in the second half.

If Manchester United want to really change the squad they have a lot of work to do and they will have to spend a lot of money and even though it doesn't guarantee a better performance it will take a little longer before they can be able to compete.

Lyon has all the trappings to have won the match, they were more tactically aggressive than Manchester united, but suddenly the entire game had a twist and united made the score line 2-1 and were heading to victory before that unfortunate rebound from ONANA and Lyon luckily made it a 2-2 draw just some few seconds to end of the additional minutes.
 I agree with you that united needs to proper striker that could control and score goals for them just the way they use to have Dimitar Berbatov some years back. Hojlund for me still plays like amateur.

The early times when onana arrived Manchester United and was making too many errors it looked like it's because he's new and he was going to improve as he needs time, over time he made some adjustments that made it looked like he's definitely going  to improve but seeing the performance he puts on now, it's so sad and discouraging that he's still at this, he may cost Manchester United a lot because in todays game Manchester United would have won and have a better chance but now they are hanging on a thread line, it's high time Amorim begins to work on the second keeper hopefully he gets to stand in for onana at some point to avoid further losses like this.

Only Bodo Glimt gets a 2-0 win against Lazio in the URFA Europa League quarterfinal today, any other team player draw. Manchester United couldn’t defend their 88th minute goal by Joshua Zirkzee to secure the first leg, win they conceded a late goal from Cherki of Lyon, and the match ended 2-2; I think this is an advantage for Manchester United if they can win comfortably at Old Trafford because I don’t think Lyon can play better away from home against Manchester United that will be prepare for them in the second leg.

Furthermore, Tottenham wasn’t able to win their first leg match, but they were able to play a draw at home against the German side Frankfurt, this is a good game for both teams because many people expected Tottenham to lose because of their poor form recently. However, the second leg will make the difference; perhaps Tottenham can make it since they have quality players, which I will wish because if they qualify to the semifinals, it will make the competition tougher.

United was relaxed at the dying minutes to the end of the match, and that was what led to the late equalizer because after Onana stopped the ball, it rebound to R. Cherki who was just alone. He took the opportunity to net the ball. A draw is a fair game for United.

When Joshua Zirkzee scored Manchester United's last goal of the match in the 88th minute, I told my brother who's a die-hard Manchester United fan that I was watching the game with that they've secured an away victory in Lyon but trust Manchester United to always shock you when you least expected.

Seems they are going back to their old habits of throwing away winning positions to settle of draws or losses...

Like why was it a mission impossible for Ruben Amorim's men to defend a one goal lead from the 88th minute till the final whistle? I'll not be too surprised to see Lyon win them at Old Trafford in the second leg and progress to the semi finals while dumping United out of the competition.

When it comes to Europa, I know for sure these guys are like a cockroach and especially that United are still struggling for European participation I can tell you for sure that they will play their lungs out to secure this spot as it's their only redemption card left in the bag!!
