Tottenham was a better team and could have finished a game earlier but they in the end barely won. I dont know if they can win the europa league but this is a good step ,they beated a good opponent. Lyon just scored and is leading 2-3 with a player less. Looks like Man Utd might get knocked out

Tottenham were lucky to get a win today, Tottenham performance has been so poor this season, and they have just been struggling when playing. I was not so confident that Tottenham will be able to get a win today, but they managed to score two goals in the match, and have been able to qualify for the semi final, seriously Tottenham were so lucky today.

Some people are thinking Tottenham will be able to win the Europa, but with the way they are playing, that’s not just going to be possible, Tottenham will find it difficult to win the Europa league, because I know that if they don’t play badly in the semi final, then they will lose in the final, so Tottenham is not even Among the teams which am even thinking they will be able to win the Europa league.

Now that Manchester United is leading Lyon by 2:0 in the first half, hope those that were talking ill of Manchester United will now drink water. I said it earlier that we can't judge Manchester United based on their performance in the English Premier League. Just see how they are comfortably winning Lyon as if they are not bothered at all.

Drink water as in how? Just one win out of an obviously poor season performance and you're already trying to hype Manchester United because they're winning Lyon. Ain't Manchester United ought to win Lyon hands down going by the English club pedigree? Some of you fans can be so funny and emotional about your clubs when they are being called out for unexpected performance and that's irrational. However Lyon is now on a 2-2 level with your glorious Manchester United after they threw away a 2 goals lead  yet you think they shouldn't be smashed at.

If Lyon can hold out until the penalty shootout and win, it will be the final nail in the coffin of Amorim (I hope he still has another season). Lazio, to my surprise, managed to equalize the score (after the first game it seemed unrealistic) and are already winning 3-0. A good comeback.

It's over for United tonight as the extra time is in favor of Lyon despite playing with one man down. Lyon have scored two goals in the extra time to make it scoreline 2-4. United still looks strong to me, while you may disagree and everyone here talks about how terrible United is, we are forgetting the fact that they have gone literally unbeaten so far in Europa league, which needs to show the world that while they are terrible at premier league, they are so far quite strong at Europa league and maybe they are just focusing all their power there. If that is the case, which looks like it, then Lyon has a hard time here.

You may see United weak and Lyon strong, but so far United didn't play as well as they should, which is the main reason why they are looking bad at premier league, normally they should have been better and at Europa league they are. I have full trust in them to win this game.

For Lyon to struggle is not a problem but Manchester United struggling to maintain the win is something we should say they are not strong enough to hold their lead. In the EPL they are poor in performance and being unbeaten in the Europa league doesn't tell that they are doing well, at least channel some of that energy to the EPL games especially against the smaller teams and if they lose which they are already I don't see them going for any Europe competition next season, so for me I can't say they are doing well in the Europa league. Since the Red Devils started suffering this season I haven't seen them as a strong side any day and tonight they are just playing and hoping on luck to take place but from the current score line 2-4 I don't see that happening, they are out and where are they going to finish on the EPL table to garranty them Europe football next season?

This is indeed a miracle performed by Manchester United. They were 2-4 down and have now been able or make it  5-4. The Red Devils worked very hard to secure this victory. I was surprised how they would allow Lyon to win this game even when the French club was without a player. There will be lots of celebration in Manchester after this dramatic comeback. These guys got an insurance goal  with that Dalot goal to go 2up and whatever happened they allowed Lyon back in the game and same thing happened like in the first leg to force the game into extra time...but damn what a game from 4-2 down to 5-4 up &@##k craaazy game, enjoyed this one ... I watched the Eintracht Frankfurt game because it was on live TV, but I should've watched the Manchester United game. Tottenham won the round with a penalty goal. Other than that, both teams had positions but no goals. It was probably the most boring match of the night, considering the others. Manchester United made an unprecedented comeback. There is probably no team in history that has won 5-4 after being 4-2 down in the 110th minute. I've seen many interesting comebacks but I don't remember one like that.

The game was really interesting and I watched it from start to finish. It was attack after attacks for both teams but during the second half of normal time, Lyon were all over Manchester United untill the red card which kind of slowed the visitors. In extra time they still pressed even with a man down. Manchester United went on to concede two goal but how they managed to get back with 6 minutes remaining was something else because they scored 3 goals in an interval of 6 minutes. What a game and what a time to be a Manchester United fan, lol. Their fans will really be proud this night.

Manchester United did a brilliant comeback and equalized the game 4:4 in the 120th minutes of the extra time and within a space of 1 minutes again they got their victory goal 5:4, at roughly 121st minutes into the extra time given that no one thought of, my friend who is a Manchester united fan I'm watching the game together with, just left home with the anxiety that Manchester United has already lost the game, in football it's not over until it's over let's see what's going to happen at the end of this competition since things are getting more interesting with the United performance at the Europa.

It was very surprising because I was also thinking if Manchester United had given up not until when they got a penalty and Fernandez scored it. That is when I had more hope for them, even though it was in the extra time, and still they made it by winning the game with the score of 5-4. No doubt this game was very incredible because I was never expecting Manchester United to win 3 goals in just an interval of 12 minutes. This made me believe more that Manchester United is really capable.

Having been watching football for number of years, I must confess that this is one of the most incredible night I've seen in the game of football, at a point it looked as if Manchester United were out of the game as Lyon kept on banging the goals, the entire suspense and drama was out of this world, for me I will describe tonight as a theatric display of football excellence. Nobody ever thought united will get a comeback in this game, I saw Matic coming in to field celebrate the last goal Alexandre Lacazette scored just to make sure he spikes Andre Onana, this goes to remind every football lover that it's not over until it's over. Kudos to Harry Maguire.

Manchester United were really lucky, the match was probably the most intense they have ever played this season. In the semifinals, Manchester United will face Athletic Bilbao, who are much stronger than Lyon. Ruben Amorim seems to have to find another strategy so that his team can be lucky again and avoid defeat. Totttenham have a very good shot at winning the Europa. They will face Bodo/Glint in the semi they have a higher chance of winning that tie.The problem is Tottenham is know to crumble when it matters the most and I'm afriaf they can crumble this time around.

If they do not bottle the opportunity and they to the final, they will meet either United or Atletic Bilbao which are better than them but they're both clubs they can take on.
I think they just have to dig in and not lose their head and they can actually achieve it, but its going to take a lot from them because every other club at this stage will give them hell in this competition.

Manchester United qualifies, it was a successful come back but i am disappointed with how they couldn't hold their lead, Lyon suffered this defeat because they were a man down to complete the defense. Athletic Club will not make mistakes as Lyon did, Manchester United has to improve before next game, one problem is refusal to be scored too many goals, there are clubs that are good with defense, once they first scores by one or two goals ahead, they can defend those goals till the final whistle. Manchester United are now closer to the finals of the Europa competition, just one opponent to conquer before they get there.

In the semifinals, Manchester United will face Athletic Bilbao, who are much stronger than Lyon. You are right, Atletico Bilbao is a bit stronger than Lyon, but that doesn’t mean that they can defeat Manchester United because Manchester United is a big team and are among the favorites to win the Europa League, even though Bilbao should also be among the favorites because they have a better squad with young talented players that can win them title. I can’t predict how it is going to end because it will be a tough encounter and any team amongst them can win the match, therefor, for now, I will want Manchester United to advance to the finals; therefore, all these team needs to be very careful in their semifinals.

Spurs maybe having their chances because they aren’t being matched with some of the best teams in the Europa, they’ve been quite lucky with that so far and have maned to make it this far but, luck would run out of them should they get to play teams like Athletic Club or Manchester United even. I really think these are the two clubs that could win it for real and I don’t see Spurs having to beat either of them in any fixture if they were ti be matched.

Frankfurt surprised me. They were never productive at home. Tottenham played good defense. Both teams misled the statistics. Tottenham has conceded a goal in 18 away games so far, but not today. Frankfurt, on the other hand, is a team that scores a lot of goals, but they couldn't score a goal today.

That game tricked me a lot since I had big hopes on Frankfurt victory even when they received a goal. I didn't expect to not see them scoring in this match.
The other game that surprised me is Lazio's one. How come they lose and being kicked by Bodo/Glimt! The worst part is that they did pretty good effort to catch Bodo on aggregate, scored first in the extra time and in penalties then they got defeated after missing 3 penalties.. What a mess!
bodo is the first team to get this far in Europa League and they will most likely be kicked by Tottenham Hotspur next.
For Manchester United, they were lucky to not fall in a penalty trap but they found themselves facing the hard Athletic Bilbao club. I doubt they will make it to the final game.

Bodø/Glimt made history today. They have improved in recent years and today they reached the semi finals for the first time. They eliminated a giant like Lazio. Lazio missed 3 penalties, if you miss that many you have no business in the semi finals.
I was already impressed by Bodø/Glimt when they played us this season. Beşiktaş lost that game even though they were ahead.
This season we played 4 teams that reached the quarter finals in the group stage. Bodø/Glimt and Athletic Bilbao reached the semi finals. Maybe one of them will be champion. This shows how difficult our draw was. The other Turkish teams had very easy draws.

Well, it was an impressive come-back!!  
When Man United was leading with 2 goals in the first half, I guessed they will win the match easily. Unfortunately, Lyon scored 4 goals in the second half of the match. Although Lyon got a red card, they could play more aggressive. Honestly, I have no hope anymore with Man United at that time because Lyon was leading with 2 goals difference. Surprisingly, Man United could equalize the score and they even score another goal. Finally, they could win the match with a narrow score. By they way, Lyon have played quite well although they must be eliminated by Man United.

In the next round, it seems Man United will play against Athletic Club. In theory, Athletic Club is stronger than Lyon. Man United needs to improve their defense if they want to defeat Athletic Club. If their defense is still rather fragile, Athletic Club will destroy them in semi-final. I personally expect to see Man United in the final UEL, it will be nice if Man United to be the champion.

It was a miraculous victory as all three goals came within seven minutes. I wrote United off after I saw that Lyon have scored two goals with ten men. I gave up on United and stopped watching the match until Fernandez scored the penalty and not quite long Mainoo. It was my younger brother that was watching the match and informing me. After he said it was 4-4, that was when I joined him in the living room to complete the match. I was marvel to see Maguire scored an important goal at the right time. What a night for United.
