I have absolutely no clue WHO THE HELL IS THIS. I mean Manchester United played horrible all season long, with three different managers (ruud interim) and now they play great? How? How are they doing this great suddenly and not really having any time. This should be the most important difference.



This way we are going to end up with so it needs to be pointed out the difference, and I mean like stark contrast, to what we are seeing today between Manchester United beating Bilbao versus Manchester United who sucked all season at the league. No idea where this amazing performance came from but they are doing great at Europa league. And last time, they beat Lyon at extra time with amazing talent as well and that was amazing too, they are dealing with something perfect right now.

I don't remember Nistelrooys United being so terrible

We're most likely to see the English final between Man United and Tottenham, with Man United being the favourite.
Who knows how the Athletic Vs Man United game would have gone if not for that early red card (and a penalty) that set the tone for the remaining 60 minutes. Before that happened, Athletic had a pretty good and aggressive start with a few good scoring chances missed.
Anything is possible in football, but I don't see Athletic coming back from such loss.

As expected, Bodo/Glimt got dominated, but luckily they responded with one goal of their own, so there's still a sliver of hope for them. Maybe Tottenham will get overly relaxed, and maybe the home advantage will work wonders for the Norwegian team in the rematch.

I don’t think that’s going to be possible for Athletic Bilbao to score 4 goals in the second leg of the match even if Manchester United will be visiting them. The mistake which Athletic Bilbao made was allowing Manchester United score 3 goals in the first leg of the match, Manchester United players are not dumb to allow Athletic Bilbao score 4 goals in the second leg with scoring any goal also, so i will say Manchester United has qualified to the Europa final already, what we waiting for is just for the second Leg to be played.

What Manchester United will just want to do in the match is just to get a draw in the match, am sure they won’t be making use of their main squad in the second leg of the match, and even if they do, they will be replacing them early in the match, to avoid them being injured in the match, so the second won’t really be a difficult one for Manchester United.

I think in UEFA Europa League, teams gameplay are way different from domestic leagues. Manchester United is a joke in English Premier League. Same goes for Tottenham Hotspur this year. Both these teams are in the other side of the table and even worse. Yet, they were doing some beautiful surprises in this advanced stage of Europa. Beating Athletic Bilbao that way isn't an easy task and if Spurs played against them, I wouldn't believe seeing the same result. So yeah, if Manchester United play like that in the final game, then they might be the winners.

They are always great at the Europa league but when it comes to the EPL they are absolutely nothing to write home about. I wasn't expecting them to win Bilbao, when they scored the first goal I was waiting for Bilbao to equalize but it seems that after the red card they couldn't do much again. I would love to see Manchester united Winning the Europa league this season although it's not going to be able easy one

If they could bring some of this performance to the premier league, it would have been good for them but no, this was just a lucky shot that landed quite perfectly. I don’t think Manchester United would be able to reproduce this kind of performance again. Not even against Athletic Bilbao which is a very good team by all standards. Don’t know how they got it so wrong in this fixture but they did and this would cost them the Europa for sure.

They dont care anymore for premier league this season. Its obvious that they will play better in europa league because they need this trophy badly to play in the champions league next season. I think Man Utd will slip up again in the premier league but with this good result in europa league they woll he in the final for sure.

Actually, since the beginning, if we look at the UEFA Europa League, Man United's performance has been quite good and consistent, especially in this UEL. Even in the playoff phase, Man United qualified in 3rd place, and the only one with 0 losses. This is extraordinary, since they were still under Ten Hag. Until they were finally able to beat their competitors in the quarter-finals to the semi-finals, even having very good potential in this semi-final to advance to the final round.

I was really surprised with the lineup, and didn't know until just before the match that Bergval was out. was surprised but not disappointed that Richarlison started alongside Solanke.When you think about it, it makes sense. Two tall offensive strikers playing on the same line.

Athletic Bilbao lack the agility and strength for a comeback, besides coming back from 3:0 is not easy for any team and only few have done that in the past so i doubt if Bilbao will be aiming for a comeback and Manchester United also become so reluctant to lose out a 3:0 advantage over Athletic Bilbao. The match between Lyon and Manchester United is far off from the situation with Bilbao, Manchester United played draw against Lyon in the first leg and also played draw in the second leg before they won in extra time but it's not same case with Bilbao because they are already 3 goals ahead which is completely difficult for a team like Bilbao to get a comeback.

I must say that Amorim's plan is paying off: he chose to take a huge risk but he knew that the chances of reaching a Champions League spot were minimal, so he went all in for the Europa League. i would like to share with you an interesting statistic about the tournament.

you know that the teams between 9 and 24 in the standings at the beginning of the league played each other to determine who would qualify for the last 16. after these matches, the round winners played the teams that finished in the top 8 and qualified directly for the last 16.

and only one team has been victorious in these direct matches with the participating teams, bodo/glimt. all the other qualifying teams were eliminated either in the first qualifying round or in the last 16. bodo/glimt lost the first leg 3-1 to tottenham in the semi final. bodo/glimt also finished 9th in the first part of the league due to the difference in average, even though they had the same points as rangers.

this is where we can understand the importance of being on top of the standings at the very beginning of the league. this system is new and it clearly shows us that it is very important to do well in the first 8 games that determine the standings.

I am also worried that United will play an English team in the finals, because United is a mess this season when playing with an English team. If only United can put up their best performance and play this match will everything they gat, they might be able to win Tottenham who is also just like them in performance this season.

At least a series of results from the meeting against Tottenham, Manchester United only once won, but it was not a major obstacle that must be feared as a loyal fan of Manchester United.
When I am nervous, I also feel it because the performance of my favorite team is not good.

In the history of European competitions, only 4 teams have come back from first-leg losses of 3 goals or more. And none of them were Bilbao, at Old Trafford, without Oihan Sancet (18 goals this season) and their suspended CB Daniel Vivian
