I estimate my smartness as being around 7-8, as I see all the others participating in the poll do. I think 9-10 would be a bit immodest or even arrogant, wouldn't it?

Giving your best means not being lazy, because if you are hungry you go all out (100%) to get food, not just wait for someone to bring you food.    We assume most people will do everything they can to get what they want, if they are not lazy.   That one attribute alone would rank your number around 5.  5 being average.  When a person ranks themselves a 9 or 10 (should be .00005%, usually is around 70% lol) it shows they don't understand how median/mean works.  Plus a person that smart would not be here, answering polls.

I had to vote 7-8. There are different kinds of intelligence, in my opinion.

There are the intellects who are good in school, there are the artists who are good with the arts, there are also the empaths who are good with people and there are street smart who can always get what they want through strategies and techniques. Personally I think I am adequate with almost all of them which is why I had to rate myself 7-8. I am not perfectly smart with one aspect but rather I have enough for each one.

I believe the author of this poll should have separated the 9 from the 10 here. If you're as smart as 10, you must be as smart as Einstein, Feynman, von Neuman and other geniuses of the past. Well, at least you should've been able to win the Nobel prize at this level. Odds are you haven't (because most people don't win Nobel prize at any point in their life), so if you rated yourself as 10, you're likely just a dishonest hack.

I rate myself as 8 because I know that I am smart enough, way smarter than the absolute most of people on this planet, but there are people whose insight and train of thought is just mindblowing, up to the point when you can't actually believe that such people actually exist, but they do. I've met some throughout my life, and all of them are doing well, unlike me.

I can take that 5-6 average mate , though i will never rank myself at 9-10 mid is really what most human has and that is enough for me to have a decent and happy life so thanks for clearing that up .
