Aaand back to getting the first game wrong. I've very little idea of how the lines are moving, I'm usually entering my picks as soon as I remember the app and they're available. Last week's haul of 12 was entered as soon as the final game of the preceding week finished. Still feels very 50/50 to me, but at least I'm paying attention a little to the spread and form now (as opposed to about 8 weeks of simply going against the spread in the majority).

I've gone a few places up in the other direction but being within 10 points was my early season target so I'm happy to be here -- I think we being in the mix is proof you don't really need good knowledge of the sports to be semi-respectable haha but I think we should thank OP for going for this format where we really are put in a 50-50 position.

Now you're tied for 6th and I think I might've jinxed myself the other day as I only got two points out of the eleven matches today. 

I hope the Chiefs don't disappoint here against the Chargers. This free bet is the only thing that could make up for my bad week and I badly need the last two points to stay within 9th place.

Man, I am continuing to embaress myself in this pool/pick em deal.  In fantasy football I am kicking ass, probably the best year of my life, well definitely has been, but when it comes to pick ALL the spreads, ,man it's pretty damn difficult.  I bet spreads mostly when I gamble, but every year at the end of the year when I count my wins and losses, I am always up just a little. I never bet enough for it to be anything crazy, but few hundred of thousand dollars.  Here having to choose them all, no such luck.

You almost nailed the correct score too, while the majority expected the game to have at least 40 points.

Man, I am continuing to embaress myself in this pool/pick em deal.  In fantasy football I am kicking ass, probably the best year of my life, well definitely has been, but when it comes to pick ALL the spreads, ,man it's pretty damn difficult.  I bet spreads mostly when I gamble, but every year at the end of the year when I count my wins and losses, I am always up just a little. I never bet enough for it to be anything crazy, but few hundred of thousand dollars.  Here having to choose them all, no such luck.

At least you're not that far off from the rest of us, you just need to find that one good week and you'll be in contention for the top five.

Nothiing to be embarassed about, this is just the roll of the die when it comes down to it. I thought I was catching up too, but the last round lost me some of the ground I'd gained recently, but I'm sticking with my "strategy" of putting the picks early before the spreads are locked, so I don't get fooled by bookie swings. I still think this spread system is really really good (better than outrights).

BTW I'm also having the best season of my life in FPL, but that's more to do with a complete change of the way I play. Oh and when did hundreds or thousands of dollars become not "anything crazy"? haha. I'm super casual on my betting, and it's typically constrained to under 1,000 per season across the entire year. Tournaments don't count =p

Yeah I hear you but I just expect better from myself.  But yeah to be truthful a hands full of wins puts me a lot further up.  I typically just struggle when it comes to such high spreads, hence why I rarely be them myself.

It's not like Brock Bowers had a bad game, 11 receptions for 99 yards is pretty great. He is the only rookie tight end to have 1000 yards and 100 receptions in a single season, so it was only fitting that he'd score a touchdown. It wasn't meant to be, i guess.  Anyway, we go again next week.

It sure is, only 5 points separating the top 5.  It's been a lot of fun, I'm already anxious to do it again next year.  The winners are sure to be happy considering how much bitcoin has pumped since our somewhat cheap buy-in.

Just a couple weeks back I was down in the bottom half. Having missed picking the outcome of 10 games, I felt I had no chance for a come back. But managing to score 12 points this past week shot me up all the way to 6th place.Now I feel I am in the thick of the action with only couple points to get to the money, still 2 weeks to go, maybe more? Do we play during the playoffs too or just regular season? Either way I guess there is still opportunities to keep climbing up. Let's see what unfolds, good luck all!! and Happy Holidays!!

When I set up the pool I was under the impression that it would extend into the playoffs, but now I'm not so sure.  I don't recall what gave me that impression, and since I don't see the playoff brackets on the "Pool" tab I assume it'll be over after week 18.  If the pool doesn't automatically extend into the playoffs, the winners will be selected at the end of regular season.  Otherwise I'll let it ride all the way to the Superbowl.

Ouch, what a round. Was top 5 which is still in rewards if I recall correctly and then had the biggest stinker of the season, 4-12.
