Done posting my entry on the current Bitcoin prediction contest. I abstain on the goal predictions because I don’t have any idea on how football works while I don’t want to bet blindly.

I was planning to participate in the Bitcoin prediction contest and my naive strategy was to wait until the last moment before the very last moment to submit my prediction. Unfortunately, I didn’t read the terms carefully and thought the deadline was 23:59 utc when it was actually ist (utc +5.5)!

Better still forum time can used and most time it confuses someone. Using forum makes everyone alert to know when the deadline.
Though you also have to think smart that because you wouldn't have to wait to the Very last moment or dying minutes before you making your predictions.

Is your call so you have to keep to it, contest is a promotion that comes with rules, and those rules. Most be followed and is clearly stated on the contest page that you have to follow the submission time and the time zone was mentioned, now I don't see any reason why your contest organizers should change date and closing entry time just to suit your own preference.

It’s really not good or right to keep changing the date and the entry deadline like that. Many people will likely get annoyed or upset if they find out the contest suddenly changed its rules.

Because the participants will be disappointed, next time there might be no one willing to join the contests they conduct on their casino platform,

I participated there and hoped I could get my lucky break by being one of the winners. It's been a long time since I've had any luck when I've participated in a contest like this, and even if I win I usually can't withdraw my winnings because I lose, because before I can withdraw I have to qualify for a withdrawal, at least once.

So far there have only been 18 participants in the contest. I think we will see new entries before the match actually starts.

Betpanda always has interesting contests every week, so this is one of the things to look forward to every week.

That strategy is very good to start, it's just that we need to be more careful in looking at the settings that have been made by the organizer, usually we use UTC as a common standard on the forum, so he is also fooled about the time, the entry cannot be said to be feasible if it is forced.

I have also participated in many such competitions and tried out various "strategies." In summary, I can say that it doesn't matter at all whether you take advantage of the prediction window and make your prediction as late as possible. As a rule, the target date is relatively far away from the last possible entry time, and with Bitcoin in particular, price sentiment can change very quickly.

You only need to look at last week, for example. It took less than seven days to go from "we are now deep in the bear market" to "we will see new ATHs this year."

First of thanks a lot for your proactive suggestion. Making time IST is not only easy for me but I always try to specify in terms of 'utc+ xx' also. Having different times is also a deliberate provision to encourage people to read terms (still lot of members don't read ).
I know we all are lazy and waiting for deadline is the usual human tendency but it only take few seconds to post your entry, you can edit it before the deadline.

The side ways price movements is the toughest competition for a prediction contest for the price since user prediction will always close to each regardless if they put an early prediction or not.

Prediction on Bitcoin price is always my weakness since the volatility kicks in a very random pattern due to manipulation on the market either from the exchanges or big player trying to wipe out high leverage positions.

mate,, I understand your point about over 0.5 goals being common, however not all sportsbooks offer this. Betpanda's inclusion is actually a great opportunity for sports bettors.

As for parlays, you are right, I agree with you that they are quite risky. But if you can bet a little smarter & have a good understanding of the match, such as focusing on over 0.5 goals in the first half where statistics show a higher probability of an early goal, then they can be profitable. Betting on sports is all about strategy & discipline. So, while parlays are not for everyone, they can be very exciting & profitable with the right approach.

I agree, it's an interesting idea, but if we're realistic, it's extremely unlikely to come up with an accurate prediction. In such cases, it's all a matter of luck, I don't believe there's an "accurate" way of predicting the price 30, 60 or 90 days from now., and yes, your argument about time is correct as well, the faster you are, the more the chances you'll win. Anyway, even though the chances of winning are pretty slim, such contests are always interesting and add an intruguing twist to gambling.
